Can the AI haters give it a rest already? Yes, I know there are concerns, but as a person with a disability, if I didn’t use every tool that was out there because I had concerns about it, I wouldn’t use anything. All this AI hatred is just cutting off our nose to spite our face.

Well that’s concerning. My Bose quiet comfort headset died all the way, so I plugged it in, and now I can’t get it to turn back on even though it’s been plugged in overnight.

I have my phone set up so that when I hold the action button, it is supposed to immediately start a voice conversation with ChatGPT. Recently, this is broken. It just opens the app and then I have to go to the start voice conversation button.

We are supposed to have a live nativity from 3 PM to 8 PM at church tomorrow. I think it’s an insane idea considering that snow is supposed to start falling around 12 or one again. I will be inside helping to provide the music, but still, no one is going to come. The animals will be in a shelter, but I worry about them too.

@nprofile…5qkj I don’t know like ounces to grams or whatever if they are actually heavier, but they feel heavier on my face if that makes sense because the lenses are so big, and the pressure is like more downward on my head and nose. Some of that might just be my smaller face.

Are there ways with AI now to really strip the vocals out of a track to make your own karaoke version? I don’t mean just turning down the vocals so you can still sort of hear them. Not having a band that can play anything I need at this church is so hard, and not every contemporary worship song has a karaoke track readily available.

Oh and here is some crazy shit. I had initially created a TikTok account with my Gmail address, but when I logged in recently to see if Accessibility had improved on the iPhone, I just used the sign in with Gmail feature because it was faster. When I installed TikTok on my pixel, I tried to log in with my original account that I had created because I knew that had more of an algorithm built up on me, but it kept referring to some crazy phone number that isn’t mine for sending a code, and it wouldn’t take the password I know is the right one, so I’m thinking somebody hacked that original account and now I can never get it back, so it’s a good thing I can sign in with Gmail. I’m basically starting my whole algorithm over which sucks, and I’m worried about what someone will do with an account tied to my email address like that, but I can’t do anything about it. I did wonder why I was getting emails from TikTok in Spanish.

I have to say, TikTok is much more accessible on android. I was able to like videos, search, follow creators, and successfully move around the app and to previous and next videos without having focus randomly jump on me.

Listening to my worship favorites playlist, and it’s making me miss my old church. The new one is fine, it’s definitely a more quiet vibe and we are trying to get this contemporary thing going, but a lot of the people there are super old and like the old hymns. I must admit, I find the old hymns to be so boring.

I am sad and frustrated to report that there are some very serious #Voiceover focus issues in the #ChatGPT #iOS app when reviewing a long text conversation. I had uploaded a document and was asking questions about it, and I wanted to go back and just review a specific part of the conversation. I couldn’t do it. I had to ask the question again in order to get the information I wanted. I was out and about, so switching to a computer was not an option, and I shouldn’t have to do that. I know I could’ve switched to voice mode and probably gotten at the same information, but again, I shouldn’t have to do that. I should be able to review Text in an app which is displaying Text. Next time I guess I will just use scribe me or something similar. #a11y

The orbit player is very nice, very small and compact, and has a great sound for being so small. So far I’ve really only used it for podcast and playing a little bit of Internet radio, and that may be most of what I use it for honestly, but I’m still glad I got it and I’m eager to learn more as I dive into the manual and new software updates are released.

I don’t know that Peacock is as committed to Accessibility as a lot of the other streaming services. There is a documentary out called the Idaho student murders, and you can follow it to an extent, but there’s a whole flurry of text messages going back-and-forth that of course we can’t read because there is no audio description. Very disappointed.

Whenever someone wants to engage on a topic I find distressing, no matter who it is, I’ve gotten very good at saying nope, I don’t have the bandwidth for that today.
