FBI agents driven off after failed attempt to question someone at home
On the 28th of April, video emerged of a failed attempt by the FBI to question someone at home in an unstated location.
The home defender here handles the FBI well: refuses to answer questions, demands their own IDs and full names, and ultimately drives off the agents.
Not as aggro as the times I've been in similar incidents but more than enough to get the job done. We win, J Edgar Boozer and the Federal Bureau of Intoxication lose.

If Isra-Hell strikes at Iran with nukes, Iran could respond by destroying all those Israeli seawater desalination plants. They are all in one place and vulnerable to drone and missile strikes, and surely Netanyahu knows it. Without them Isra-hell would dry up and blow away. This is close enough to nuclear-level damage it may be able to deter a nuclear attack.
While Iran's top clerics may well conclude such warfare violates restrictions in the Q'uran and Hadith on war against civilians, Netanyahu would be betting the continued existance of his own country on those religious leaders being able to override the judgement of Iran's military after a nuclear hit.
A theocracy hit with a nuclear attack could well conclude the war is now "God vs the Devil," and the gloves may well come off.

@nprofile…yak5 @nprofile…czfg That transmitter was built inside the case of an old first generation Compaq portable computer. I had no idea that would later become collectable!
The former CRT compartment became the power amp compartment, the driver and solid state board on the right. The hard part was this: due to the anodizing, it was a real bear to seal up that case against RF leaks. I had to take an old TV, attach a length of twin-lead to the antenna terminals, and with the transmitter running on dummy load and the TV tuned to Channel 7 probe around the transmitter to find every harmonic leak!
In the end, all of the vented parts of the case had to be lined with aluminum window screen, and every edge of that screen had to be glued after application to keep loose wires from escaping and creating shorts.
You do NOT want your pirate radio setup to be the reason someone cannot watch football...

Why? Because the 6146B VHF capable power tube was still available common and cheap at hamfests and two were in the house from a partially disassembed ham trasmitter my father had built a half-century earlier. I didn't have a source for decent VHF power transistors until late 2006.

@nprofile…nmzt I regard it as a major battle in a low level civil war. It has been compared to the Troubles in Northern Ireland and to the Years of Lead in Italy. I've never seen so much political violence in my life save in 2020. First the Uprising, then those massive street fights with tens of thousands of invading fash after the 2020 election.
I will now speak directly from my own experience when I lived in DC.
Nov 14 2020, DC was invaded by 20,000 Trumpers with a hard core of 1,000 Proud Boys, 3%ers, and Oath Keepers as their spearhead. After their protest was over, they started assaulting random civilians. We were forced to fight them, so they had to fight us first to fight anyone else. Some of them had guns visble under their clothing, and plate body armor saved some of my friends from being stabbed.
That night, the Proud Boys tried to march on Black Lives Matter Plaza to destroy it, we launched a march of our own to intercept and block. I was exhausted and heading home when I got word and had to return. I caught up just as we intercepted the Proud Boys. A swirling fight with Proud Boys using knives and our frontline equipped with shields broke out. Afterwards, I had to escort a wounded fighter to safety. While returning, I was nearly killed taking on five Proud Boys solo as they sought to ambush me.
That's battle not protest and not supposed to happen in peacetime. What is happening now is part of the same conflict.
Federal troops invading any city (e.g National Guard in LA and DC) is not supposed to happen in peacetime. Nor is the central government's troops hunting in the street for members of disfavored social or ethnic groups.
I do not regard any of this as peace...

Third No Kings March Draws Millions In Protest Of Authoritarian President
DC report from DC media Group (note this was one of a huge number of protests nationally):
Washington DC—Thousands of citizens from across the DC-Maryland-Virginia region rallied at Memorial Circle near Arlington National Cemetery, for the third No Kings protest (NK3), the site where Trump plans to build the world’s largest arch, in honor of himself. They performed a skit with paper-mâché caricatures lampooning Trump and six of his most notorious staff and cabinet members. They spent weeks building the caricatures which included Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, Attorney General Pat Bondi, White House Chief Advisor Steve Miller, FBI Director Kash Patel,White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, and Vice President JD Vance.
The skit called out each cabinet member for their most egregious actions over the past year. Several of the organizers spoke about how the power of people was the strongest column and still standing up to authoritarianism.
Then they walked across Memorial Bridge into DC in a challenge to the rising autocratic rule of President Trump, his cabinet, and corrupt influencer billionaires. The NK3 march carried giant banners heralding their approach, “No Kings,” “Join Us,” and “Arrest Them,” referring to those protected by a cover up of the Epstein files.
Just behind the banners came the seven cartoonish paper-mâché heads, posted high on wooden stakes: one of Trump, and six of his most discredited appointees and cabinet members. The life-like heads bobbed like drifters among the sea of protesters carrying them across Memorial Bridge.

Depending on available crops, either crop ethanol or biodiesel is used. Many tractor engines have been converted to run on ethanol as a result, using spark ignition and simple carburettors. The high compression of these engines is no problem for ethanol, the conversions were engineered by former dirt track auto racing engine builders.
In cities, cars are now rarely driven except for war. Bicycles are used in areas where snipers and stray bullets are not problems, along with a diminishing supply of battery-powered e-bikes charged by solar and a growing number of ethanol fueled "gas" bikes fueled by ethanol from fermented garbage and food scraps.
Delivering food has been the worst problem of all between the militia roadblocks and the shortage of diesel to run trucks and trains alike. As a result, rail has been prioritized over road and the first priority on rail is diesel itself, followed by food. Much food distribution now takes place right at the railhead.
Naturally, security at food distro points is a nightmare, with any number of gangs and militias attempting to control who gets to eat.
Nobody has hot water, running water is a sometime thing, and seemingly everyone stinks. Soap is a bygone memory from a prior age except where someone is left who knows how to make it themselves.
Diseases of all kinds are out of control between the water and sewer issues. Vaccines are incredibly hard to get, as they have to be first imported and then defended. Antibiotics are the same story, and diseases people thought were gone are back.

It's a "war wagon" formerly used by a pro-Trump Fascist group for drive-by shootings but was badly damaged when their last target turned out to be an ambush.
Each of those missions took weeks to scrape up enough gas to drive the car from a Nazi neighborhood to a targetted community. Now the car is fucked up, with three flat tires, a destroyed radiator, a heat-damaged engine, and seemingly a hundred bullet holes. On top of all else, several hundred dollars worth of gasoline has been wasted.
The deportations have bogged down, and drones have dropped weapons and ammunition into the concentration camps, leading to uprisings and the elimination of the guards followed by mass escapes. The SS tries to hunt down the rebels but usually fails as they disappear into forests and cities, and indiscriminate warfare ensues. Two centuries of hate explode.
The night resounds with small arms fire and occasional louder sounds that are not quite thunder as both sides pound each other.
The range is too close for ballistic missiles or tube artillery, so its all Shahed-style drones and smaller, countered by Cessna-type planes armed with machineguns hoping to shoot them down. Smaller drones fill the skies with cameras, and as a result much of the maneuvering is each side trying to hide from or outmaneuver the other side's recon drones.
The outcome is anyone's guess, but those who escaped the showers and ovens are fighting to the death. As Trump vowed in Iran, the war has degenerated to no quarter asked or given, and atrocity reports are not uncommon.
Those two looters protrayed in the Civil War movie strung up by their arms? Nobody even bats an eye at shit like that anymore, it's just too common. Those not involved in the war itself are busy looking out for themselves. Nobody takes any shit anymore, they just can't afford to,
Food is scarce and there are fears of outright famine not just in the US but globally caused by the war-induced collapse of US agriculture. Some staple crops worked by machine (.e.g. wheat, corn) are still grown, but produce is nowhere to be found as the former migrant workers have either fled or are fighting for survival in the guerilla war after escaping the camps.

Note that in my own life I have won many confrontations including against a grand jury by jacking up the stakes until the other side quits.
Here's an overmatch scenario for the case in question: Trump's government is overthrown, rots out, whatever. The Nuremburg II tribunal is hard at work in the courthouse, hearing cases against a second generation of Nazi war criminals.
Those whose crimes caused death faced the rope at the last round of Nuremburg proceedings. Again the learned judges sit hear cases, again the Nazi butchers are brought to court one by one. Again everything is on the table
Some of the defendents are venal like the typists that collated railroad schedules to the camps. Some of them are monsterous like Joseph Mengele.
Remember we are talking about the outcome of a war after years of fire, fury, suffering, and destruction.
It will be very hard to restrain public demands for eye for an eye justice. This will be no different than the end of any other civil war anywhere else on the planet.

If I were unhoused now and facing criminalization, I would set up my campsites deep in the woods, using space blankets and camo netting to make detection from the air more difficult. I would have to pack up my campsite every day, putting everything on the bike trailer and taking it with me. At night pick a new spot. This would make detection and attack more difficult.
I speak as one that ran a pirate radio transmitter from a concealed spot in a wooded park in DC for seven years before (most likely) some dog walker stumbled onto it and snitched. Only the antenna stayed there when the site was not in use. The antenna feedline was camoflaged as a vine, and the transmitter itself painted in a camouflage pattern plus labelled "air quality survey-do not disturb."
A campsite is a lot harder to hide from direct observation, but on the other hand cannot be found by radio direction finding. Phones probably need to be location OFF however to ensure no app sells data to the cops about where you are camping, or put into a Faraday bag before approaching camp and not taken out until you are well away.
Thermal imaging scans from enemy aircraft (police/NPS) remain a hazard, thus the frequent moves and clearing the area during the day plus the camo netting and space blankets. Irregularly shaped pieces of space blanket tied to netting may be effective in some climates in breaking up the image of a human camper.

Any paid account on ANY server is extraordinarily difficult to hide. This sort of thing should be free accounts only and accepting any needed free account limitations.
If you pay for an account at this level (direct action in a campaign that has included fires), the payment device becomes a nearly unsolvable problem.
Proton accepts mailed cash, but beware of fingerprints on cash, on stamps and on the envelope. Also never lick envelope seals due to DNA and make sure no hairs or skin cells get in.
Prepaid credit cards are reportedly gettting harder and harder to activate without ID, though some small denomination gift cards still can be. Problem is, the codes on the card can probably link it back to the store it was purchased at, and from there to photos taken at the register as it was checked out. If you stood in front of the register they may have a high quality face shot. If not, the overhead camera may or may not have enough.
I've never worked with crypto but I hear it's far less secure than people think.
Under no conditions would I bet my life on the security of any mode of payment. I refuse to have any paid accounts anywhere, just as I refuse to have any age verified accounts anywhere and for the same reason.
Lastly remember this: an account in one country linked to an action in another that is illegal in both countries means a high risk of government to government cooperation to get a locally valid warrant. This takes longer than "just going to Google," but that works best in situations where you did everything once-only, burner everything, and just need enough time to hike out of the woods.

A bank robber could buy a gun,ammo, a ski mask, a bike, and a prepaid phone all at once at Wal-Mart. That combination of items all bought at once at the same Wal-Mart then seen on the bank's own security cameras would probably get them identified almost instantly though.
The gun sale would involve ID, and that would be enough to prove the identity by photo comparison on all the other purchases even though guns are handled separately at teh sporting goods counter.
A killer who used an iron pry bar was once identified by a UPC sticker left on that tool. It was a brand sold at Home Depot, and cops took that sticker to all nearby Home Depots. Home Depot shoots a photo of whatever is in front of the register (don't let it be your face) with every item scanned. All photos taken when this item was scanned were examined and from them the killer was caught.
Remember this could just as easily have been for "killing" a bulldozer at a pipeline site as for a murder!

@nprofile…6mny Last time I heard of such a mass scuttling was in studying WWI history: Germany was ordered to turn their entire navy over to Britain, and the ships were interned I think in Scapa flow with skeleton crews still onboard. At a signal they scuttled every ship, the Royal Navy was only able to save a few of them.
In WWII, France upon defeat refused to either scuttle their battleships or turn them over to the surviving allies which included the Free French forces who intended to fight on. Fearing the big battleships would provide a major boost to Hitler's Kriegsmarine, the Royal Navy fired on these ships.

@nprofile…4q77 Just getting information out of a concentration camp isn't easy, and this one might be unusually difficult. Getting a video out (for verification of this) might require more bandwidth than a smuggled phone can access. The guards I would imagine have a locked-down network requiring logins only they can access.
All other access would be by distant towers unless by chance one is close-up, perhaps intended to serve the airport. Such a single tower though could have been taken over and locked down for staff use I suppose.
All across 41 cell phone signals fade in and out. When I was camping at Midway a few years ago, I could only get a connection at certain specific spots and often biked out along the roadside to find better spots for dealing with things like video.
I would not be surprised if this played a role in siting the camp or even the exact locations of key areas within the former airport

Coercive pressure on Mexico and Colombia marked by explicit threats of U.S. bombing and military force, using “drug war” rhetoric as cover to normalize violence against sovereign nations.
Imperial claims over Canada and Greenland that normalize territorial entitlement and signal that no country, ally or not, is safe from U.S. imperialism.
If FIFA claims to stand for peace, it cannot host the World Cup in a country carrying out bombings, abductions, and mass repression. Sign the petition demanding that FIFA relocate all World Cup 2026 matches out of the United States.

#Minneapolis #ICE Some good news tonight after those brutal shootings: Seems to be ICE didn't do very well in some of the fighting that triggered. They had to abandon some of their own cars when the fighting went against them, and a treasure trove of valuble documents has been captured.
NICE fucking score, and nice discipline searching those fucking cars instead of setting them on fire without a good look inside.
This is like hearing in 1940 that one of our destroyers just bagged a U-boat on the surface and got the enigma machine and codebooks!

Today (Jan 7), ICE murdered a legal observer during a neighborhood confrontation in Minneapolis. Naturally the trigger-happy Orc claims to have fired "in fear of their life" through the windshield but this video proves they were firing from the SIDE of the car.
I have fought aggro motorists when riding my bike, and never have I regarded an opposing motor vehicle as a credible threat from the side when nearly stopped. A car is powerfully armed foreward and back by its abiity to ram but has zero side armament so to speak unless someone inside has a gun of their own.
"Fear for my life" my ass: this was a trigger-happy Nazi thug high on battle adrenaline with no discipline and no self-control. Possible this is premeditated (shoot next car that won't stop) but that would require committing to a major risk of all-out battle in at least Minneapolis (source of the 2020 Uprising) and possibly as in 2020 from coast to coast.

Recall that Trump threatened NYC with military occupation if Mamdani was elected Mayor. He has been elected, Chump has been called on his threat against the city.
Note that NYC is a chain of islands. Trump can learn here from his idol Adolf Hitler how hard it is to take a well-defended island.

I am someone who lived in the DC area from 1971 until 2022. I have seen a lot of action in DC and more recently elsewhere over the years. From the El Salvador protests of the early 1980's to the Uprising in 2020 I was there. I was at the counters to both the Nov 14 and Dec 12 2020 Trump marches and was nearly killed in the first, yet back for the second. As stated earlier I was also in the defense of BLM Plaza that kept the Proud Boys from trashing in on J6 itself.
I am from the anarchist side of the house not the NVCD side of the house, perhaps you didn't figure that out. The assumption I am making about Halloween's fighters (who were NOT shot at by the National Guard), is that they were just as disinclined to stop and show ID to cops or hostile soldiers as I would be in the same situation. I have myself been in confrontations sparked by exactly that.
These kids did NOT fight because some white activist told them to, they fought because they felt they had to.
The "bring the fight" call I put forth was for white and white passing activists to focus on ICE at their headquarters, forcing the cops to disengage from neighborhood fights to deal with a black bloc or whatever else shows up at ICE.
Way to identify a provocateur is this: when cops have the advantage they throw stones that miss, but when protesters have the advantage they beg for nonviolence. The 2000 GOP Convention protests in Philly (Seattle-era) featured a lot of the latter. Cops feared the power of antiglobalization-era protesters and wanted the Convention to go smoothly. The result? Undercover cops turned out to be some of the biggest nonviolence preachers at the Philly RNC.

I believe what we are facing IS in fact a copy of what happened in Germany in the 1930's. I would never seek to conscript anyone into this very nasty fight, but I am not going to discourage anyone from volunteering either.
This intensive policing has to be stopped, and I've only ever seen two things work:
In the short term, keeping them busy with something else. During the 2020 Uprising, so many cops had to guard the White House area and other high-value targets 24-7 that I was able to enjoy cop-free cruising in multiple traditional Gay outdoor cruising spots in DC.
In the long term: making it socially unacceptable to be a cop, thus choking off police recruiting and again denying them the forces to attack the community.

@nprofile…76tq I spend most of my life in the DC area, but we probably come from different parts of the movement favoring different strategies and tactics.
Oh yeah the stakes are high, we are in a position similar to that of Germans who opposed Hitler in the late 1930's. While it is absolutely appropriate to train people to control and limit battlefield risks, it's not possible to eliminate all the risk and still win the battle. Rather people should know what the risks are, judge the situation at hand, and them make a deliberate choice to force or refuse battle. If cornered and surrender is not an option (e.g concentration camp detention like at FL's Alligator Auschwitz on the table), obviously the only choice is to fight.
If ICE is trying to drag someone away and you intervene to protect them you must risk your own safety to do so, or else stand down. Even cheering as others fight is not without risk. The same if the National Guard swoops down and crosses certain red lines like stopping people and demanding ID, or setting up a roadside checkpoint.
I see this as an active civil war that has already begun, so far as a low level though escalating conflict. The invasions of DC, Chicago, LA, and Portland are battles within this.
I am for the moment in Florida, though since having to leave DC to live with traveling friends when my mother died I have been back on multiple occasions. Most recent was in June, from the D-day events and World Pride through the No Kings day and the protest directly in front of one of the checkpoints for Trump's military parade which foreshadowed the later invasion.
In all of the South we have governments that activly side with Trump, save for some urban governments such as Orlando that at least sit on their hands when Trump (or more often DeSantis) do something awful. Every cop down here is also an ICE agent due to 287(g). Highway checkpoints are rare but not unheard of, and cops and ICE raid some places together. Remember that ALL roadside stops and Stop and Frisk incidents have open-ended escalation potential.

Once the Guard started this fight, it was up to the youth to finish it. Tolerating harassment and humiliation is NOT an option especially now. Surrender is NOT an option in these time. If an enemy comes out to fight and harasses people, that enemy must be driven off.
Bowser BTW was compared to Trump at a Dec 2016 BLM protest I was present at. She probanly would have extended the curfew even if these young folks had let themselves be hog-tied without a fight or meekly gone home with no resistance.

Albert Pike statue reinstalled in DC-showing damage from being torn down in 2020
On June 19 2020 (Juneteenth) Black Lives Matter protesters in DC as part of the Uprising marched to the freeway as a diversion, then made a beeline for the Albert Pike (Confederate general) statue next to MPD's headquarters.
With over an hour of hard work and much rigging of ropes, protesters pulled the statue down. The bolts broke, the statue rocked more and more as the crowd tugged the ropes, and finally it rocked back over-center! It then toppled down with a massive thump and sparks from the stone on stole collision of the baseplate with the plinth.
As protesters swarmed the statue and began lighting fires on top of it, it was clear that the impact appeared to have bent the head forward as though looking down. A 2008 photo appears to show the head looking straight ahead, though this is not definitive without a pre-2020 side view

@nprofile…d76m These engines ARE in fact used in model aircraft unless this brand is priced higher than model aircraft builders can afford. A typical model aircraft gas turbine is 3-4 inches in diameter in the 6-8 KG thrust class. They are available for about $3,500. Rotating components are similar to those used inturbochargers save for the use of an axial flow turbine and far lighter diffusers and nozzles. The combustion chamber can be compared to a very fancy and very precisely made rocket stove burning liquid fuel.
There is nothing in one of these engines I could not make myself given access to two 4 inch disks of Inconel high temperature metal (used in turbos and some pistol engine exhaust valves), and a common turbocharger compressor impeller of the same size I used to use when I raced old cars!
The AMA (sanctioning body for model aircraft flying fields) has some special certification requirements for flying jets due to the fire hazard and high kinetic energy. Speed limit is 200mph, and some non-jets (notably slope soaring gliders that have exceeded 500 mph) are faster. Homemade turbines must be tested for steady operation and complete freedom from (dangerous) vibration before they are permitted to fly. A fire extinguisher must be on hand every time the engine is started.
Builders of tiny personal jets flown from the cockpit have the issue that model aircraft jet engines have only 25 hour service intervals (similar to the Jumo 004B in the German Me-262 WWII jet) and better built cruise missile engines can cost $20,000 or so.
From the perspective of the model aircraft builder it is possible to build a gas turbine entirely from scratch, though most builders use a turbine and compressor wheel sold as replacements for a commercial turbine.
There is simply no way export restrictions can prevent anyone anywhere in the world from having access to a gas turbine engine. They are no harder to build than a submachinegun. Curious as to why Putin is even bothering to buy a US factory to build small jet engines that probably only have to run for an hour or so. If I could build one in my shop, "Ras-Putin" with his resources should trivially be able to build his own drone engine factory. Curious about why he is screwing with the US model aircraft industry, a place he will be VERY unwelcome.
