oh I know it's incredibly unlikely and biochemicaly dubious. But until we have something floating in Kraken Mare I'm going to keep that line of thought active just in case. If we can find upwellings of water, like cryovolcanos, that would be a far better place to look.
I have a soft spot for potential exotic biology. Be it hydrocarbon dwellers on Titan or hydrogen sulfide utilizers under the surface of Io.

I get the focus on the subsurface water ocean as we have a better understanding of life that utilizes water as a solvent. However I still think methanogenic life living in the liquid hydrocarbon seas needs to be investigated. The depletion of hydrogen and acetylene on the surface is a curious thing that could possibly be biotic in origin via exotic biology. Its unlikely but still interesting.

not really, Facebook sold data to Cambridge Analytica for political propaganda and aids Russia in misinfo campaigns. and has been responsible for the promotion of terrorism and violence abroad. Any American based social media site working against the interests of the American people and humanity as a whole is pretty normal. Who knows, maybe Meta will take a page out of Coca-Cola's book and hire death squads soon.

My take on the #TikTokban is it seems the US government doesn't want #China to steal US citizens data, so US companies (like #instagram and #youtube) can steal US citizens data and sell it to China and whomever else wants it.
That's kind of how it looks.

I'm going to try to port Cosmic Ocean into Unity 6 this week. I also want to actually work on it. 3 years of picking away at things here and there when I have time and the game is still very bare bones. I care too much about it to rush it, but don't often have dedicated time to work on it.

One thing I like about Mastodon and Bluesky is when I say not to show me specific words or hashtags, they never show me them.
Meanwhile if I tell instagram not to show me specific words or hashtags. It will show me posts with those words and hashtags more because it's algorithm is based on trying to gain engagement through the easiest way possible. Which is controversy and anger. My block list is massive, it shows me stuff I don't like intentionally because I said not to.

The most exciting thing about this weekend has not been Polaris dawn or even my birthday. It's those archive pictures of the Orion battleship model that have surfaced. That right there is my highlight.

One of the saddest things is we probably won't see the Welsh flag on a spacesuit because Welsh astronauts just use the union jack.
I really want to see someone on EVA with a dragon on their shoulder as they work.
