Kiwi Browser Shut Down,
This was a good tool to use extensions (like Nostr) on Android.
Mull was another one, but that's shut down too. Kiwi devs are now "shouting out" Microsoft Edge, but screw that.

I think a Bitcoin-Nostr dude and a Monero-Nostr dude have more in common,
Than a Bitcoin-Nostr and Bitcoin-Twitter guy.
Because if you're on Nostr, you gotta figure the person is much more likely to also be doing circular economics, Linux, DeGoogled phones, privacy, and has liberty-minded political beliefs.

I got Google removed!
After pressure from my article,
VPS host Servers Guru removed Google fonts from their website, in return for having my criticism removed.
I ain't on Youtube. Google doesn't get to ban me... I'm banning Google.
Now Servers Guru is still on Cloudflare, which is a huge (much bigger) negative because CF can see the VPS panel password. So if you want to help me inspire Servers Guru to switch off this (to something like Bunny), consider reposting or commenting to show there's demand.. I can email them this note.
Btw educational point: Bunny CDN can be 3rd party images, so they absorb the bulk of the DDoS, but can't see passwords.

Arweave Domain names can easily be replicated to tied to Npubs, and pay servers to update the record in lightning.
Arweave Gateways are a CDN, this can be replicated to Blossom servers in ALL countries, BUT Nostr CLIENTS can have users pick WHICH country/server they want to look at the images.
If you're going to tell me to fuck myself, you've got to do with style,
which means knowing more and adding more value. If you're gonna censor JUST because it's an altcoin, then you're on the same level as the government.

Mullvad Browser relies upon Letterboxing to hide your screen size. Letterboxing adds or subtracts a little bit of padding, to lie that your screen size is the same as everyone else.

6. Bitcoin Core devs also worked for Blockstream, which sells layer 2 solutions. That's a conflict of interest, they are solving the problem they create with the "small block" routine.
7. By having Maxis do the shitcoin routine on good alternatives, it forces the unrealistic solution of self-host Layer-2 hot wallets with a 1k minimum to play... or use bank custodial accounts.
8. Keeping the blocks small does NOT decentralize it, as lightning routes only work with large players acting as facilitators. And you can't even receive lightning unless you've already got funded channels. This is literally inequality: You need money to get money.
Therefore,
Nobody uses Bitcoin in the Real World. And Banks win.

If the purpose of Slack is to discuss business within your company internally... why do you need Nostr relays for that?
If the purpose of Nostr is censorship resistance over relays, why do you want Nostr keys without relays? Wouldn't that increase attack surface for the CIA?
Therefore, I'd recommend using existing tools like Matrix or XMPP on a self-host VPS. And NOT using some random web app

Many people mistakenly think that Google ranks news articles based on how many keywords or inbound links they get or match. Removing Translation Words
The cataylst for Zach Vorhies to speak out, was when he saw Google removing translation words from the Arabic to English translation dictonary, for the purpose of making Donald Trump’s tweets seem crazy. Then in coordination with the legacy media, the 25th Amendment could be invoked to argue Trump was unfit for the presidency, because he was tweeting nonsense. [3b]
Profit from Violence
As I have pointed out previously, Google is a military cloud contractor. Given what we learned from both Vorhies and Leazer’s testimony, it is not unreasonable to think that, in the future, they would remove Russian or Arabic translation words to prevent peace, as Google profits from war.

Program People
Also within these leaked documents, was clear references to “programming people”. As Vorhies explained in an interview on the Jim Rutt podcast, the goal was to serve the user the inputs (via search results), and have them produce their own content (writing/podcasts/videos) as the outputs. Then this user produced content could be promoted by the algorithm, to reinforce the belief that the agenda Google’s executives picked was widespread and societal. [3b]

Fake Buttons
Zach Vorhies also leaked internal memos suggesting that a method to make users feel comfortable with censorship, was to give them fake buttons, to give users a false sense of control. The idea was to give the users fake dials that didn’t work, or did some minor trivial change. So the user felt like they were still in control, even though the censorship remained. [3b]
Cure Cancer Blacklisted
Vorhies slides discuss the blacklisted search phrases that can’t produce real results on Youtube. Shockingly this includes “cure cancer” and “cancer cure”. Not any particular person with bad information, but the entire idea. Likely this is because Big Pharma buys search ads.
Selling Manipulation
By talking about this, I risk having our entire business suppressed.
Moonshot CVE
Google’s Jigsaw division has partnered with Moonshot CVE to sell search engine manipulation services to the US government. They openly store IP addresses, addresses, names (if they can get it), and search queries for the general population. And then if they label you an “extremist”, forward your traffic to what they deem to be the truth. [9][10]
Extremists
And what defines “extremist views”? They pretend that it’s just violence, but it extends far beyond that to include vaccine hesitancy, researching Waco, distrust of harder immigration policies, and gender views. They are comparing violent jihad extremists to questioning the covid “vaccines”, immigration, or gender surgery on social media. And treating them the same as terrorists in their redirect program. A 76-year-old woman in Jacksonville is suing Google for deplatforming her about an hour after she emailed members of her pro-life group calling for a peaceful Catholic Mass and gathering in front of A Woman’s Choice, an abortion business in Florida. 11 Years Lost
“Trudy Perez-Poveda says Google targeted her after she sent the correspondence through Gmail. Google refused to allow Perez-Poveda to access her more than 11-year trove of stored emails, photographs, calendars, contacts and other data, her attorneys say.” [4b]

Github Leak
Some mistakenly think that because they aren’t talking about politics, they will be given a fair opportunity in life. However, leaked Github API code demonstrates that Google’s algorithm openly favors larger corporations for SEO, even if the smaller blogger offered more specialized expertise. [5]

Degrade Search
In a different study entitled “Is Google degrading search?”, Yelp’s statistical researcher, Tim Wu, focused on eCommerce and found Google promoted it’s own content above organic results, but when objectively tested, audiences were 45% more likely to engage with search results that were organically determined. Timeshift for Linux has saved my ass 100 times
This is a backup tool using rsync, where you can "go back in time" to the previous version of your software. (like before an upgrade or change)
It doesn't directly touch the user files, like say a text file. But if your software gets rolled back, it might affect files that software uses (like a messenger)
There's both GUI and CLI (you can use CLI if you get locked out of the graphical desktop bootup). So then you'd select "Recovery Mode" in GRUB bootup, and then using that command line interface do a timeshift backup restore. Ask me questions on it! I want to help you

Yes it's like any other web browser app, so you shouldn't be using web apps. We encourage people to use CLIENTS. Nostr clients interact with relays in a way that assumes they are hostile. The relay can't see the password.
While as protonmail is purposefully pushing people to their web app, because thunderbird or normal email clients don't work. PGP should be done on the end client, not kept in the cloud.

Equally chilling is Apple rolling out their Digital ID watch at the same time. [2] California’s DMV-issued digital driver’s licenses now work with Apple Wallet, with half a million idiots signing up for the initial testing. [3] However, the only good news is that it's still unclear EXACTLY how this AI bill will be enforced, will social media companies be required to ask for ID only for California IP addresses?
I've said it before, and I'll have to say it again: Resist digital IDs with everything you got. And the way to do that is not through voting, but with your technology choices. Use open source protocols and tools that CAN'T enforce it.

So you're sort of in this dilemma, where you're unhappy with the way you're being treated, but it's not SO bad that you're motivated to change.
But ask yourself, why is Windows or Apple easier? Well it's what came with your system, so you didn't have to do any work to get it. But you know they sell computers with Linux on it already? So is this a real obstacle if you think long-term?
Well, I don't have money to spend on a new Linux PC you say. And there's two replies to this. First, Linux works on older PCs that Windows bloatware is dying on. So you're saving money by having it last longer. And second, our articles have cited numerous studies and examples of surveillance being used to charge higher prices for ecommerce [1]. For example, Orbitz admitted it charged Apple users more, since they are willing to pay. [2]
Researchers at Ruhr-University Bochum and the University of Twente found that many hotels abuse and change pricing based on what they know about you. [3] Pro Publica found that the Princeton Review charged more to SAT courses if they knew you were Asian. [4] Grindr sells user location data, and it’s been used to fire gay priests. [5] So in the long-term, are you really better off getting regularly ripped off and abused?
Maybe you say, well I know people who can help me with Windows or Apple if I have a problem. But if Windows is objectively worse, wouldn't it's users be dumber? Since when do the less sophisticated and lower paid grunt workers do a better job at articulating and fixing your problems?
Well, Windows has all this software... But what software? Isn't like 90% of stuff in a web browser these days? That works anywhere.
When you get down to it, the real reason you haven't changed yet is because you feel comfortable with what you are already using. And new stuff creates fear.
And now here's the truth, at the end of those emotions is nothing. But if you can get past that emotion, there is freedom, community, and self-sovereign ownership of your wealth, identity, and free speech. And when put in this context, installing Linux or buying a new PC, is a minor easy change.

The hardest part currently is making the actual website links compatible with Arweave. We could overcome this with standard formats, but even then the person would have to know how to use a Hugo theme. We could automate Hugo and make a front-end for the entire Hugo process, but this is a complex project.
The most likely future step would be for us to make a client for podcasts, not full websites. But I'm trying to gauge interest in this first step we've taken. Get some sites on there.

I've searched far and wide, and I can tell you Arweave's new Global CDN has the most potential for websites, podcasts, and video to defy oppressive censorship. It's a game changer. But in it's current form, UPDATING new content to your RSS feed on Arweave SUCKS. I'll explain it like this:
If a German wishes to speak to a Japanese girl, he needs a translator.
If HTML links to Arweave content, it needs a translator, so the gateways can find it.
Arweave's Manifest is this translator. And updating this currently requires digging through wallet outputs and manual work. Nobody will do this. But...
Our society is increasingly turning towards a dystopia. We all got our backs against the wall, as they come for our freedoms. Arweave shows potential, but potential is just an emotion. Someone has to act.
Today, Simplified Privacy is open-sourcing our original Python & Linux scripts to empower any web dev with intermediate static site generation & Linux skills to automate this painful manifest update. Additionally, we're providing some of the critical documentation that Arweave currently lacks, to explain how to use it.
This is NOT the complete all-inclusive easy-click graphical-client for podcasts, that end-users with no tech skills desperately need. However, it is a first step in this direction, with automating this critical-but-boring task.
Some say the glass is half empty. But I'm an optimist.

So do you trust Trail of Bits to say SimpleX is secure, but not design Discord's encryption?
You know I actually wrote Trail of Bits to ask on pricing to audit my own app (which isn't a messenger btw). They use Gmail, so I used PGP.
The guy at Trail of Bits apologized that he didn't have his PGP key anymore, since he never gets encrypted emails. Aren't you guys supposed to be receiving code to audit or emergency 0-day flaws? That's going naked over Gmail? So he directed me to a web browser app that had third party Google JavaScript and claimed it was end-to-end encrypted. This might be true, but he has no idea what that JavaScript was doing.
So without even looking at the details of Discord's new thing, I can tell you they don't give a rat's ass about privacy. All this is doing is trying to remove legal liability in a post Telegram-legal world. But we can remove legal liability for them, by not using Discord.

Google manipulation leak:
It's ironic that Google wants all the juicy details of OUR lives, but when info leaks on their own strategies, it's scrubbed from the internet.
Conservative journalist James O Keefe is leaking a video (against the will) of Dakota Leazer, a Google-ad sales employee, discussing how the company is purposefully promoting Kamala Harris, by misleading end-users into thinking her ads are from PBS or other "more neutral" third parties. But then when the user actually clicks the ad, it gets redirected to ads or propaganda directly controlled by Kamala Harris.
The Google employee appears to be unaware he's being filmed, and in my opinion it looks like he's on a fake/malicious dinner date, with the camera in the woman's purse. It appears this female journalist got him to spill out quite a bit. Now his entire social media presence has been wiped.
