I enjoyed NSMB Wii as well, but same issues.
It's not anything you'll be ranting and raving about, it's nothing huge or new or exciting, the music and graphics are very bland and generic, but the gameplay and level design is extremely fucking tight and basically flawless

1. idk I really enjoyed the 3DS! I think it had a really nice lineup of exclusive titles and I liked the virtual console stuff. I was huge on Animal Crossing New Leaf, 3DS Pokemon titles, and Mario kart 7
2. NSMB2 was really good, I thought. I played it like twice through. It suffers from being aesthetically bland just like all the "New" Mario games are, but they had some fun levels based on Van Gough and other interesting stuff in there. I also thought the Coin Gimmick was fun

ALSO I forgot to mention huge artists do concerts in Fortnite!!! Sabrina Carpenter most recently but tons of them do it. I've seen a few! They are super cool shows with insane amounts of money put into the animations and presentation

Right now you have to make user made games in Unreal Engine which has limited the amount of creators (there are still thousands) but in 2026 they are adding Unity support, I fully suspect more full games will be coming to Fortnite lol

I thought slowly consolidating Xbox into their Windows stuff was a good idea, bulking up Xbox App on windows 11, shipping Xbox PC handhelds and the Play Anywhere thing to make Xbox games playable on PC and PC games playable on Xbox. I love it!!! Vegas has a lot of this where they hide ugly utility stuff with nice more natural things. If you drive around the suburbs in Nevada you'll notice that all the houses are painted in earthy tones too, it all blends into the landscape. Really love that school of thought. Of course in Vegas theres also the strip but thats meant to stand out lol

Gimmick is probably the hardest game I've ever beaten
It's brutalll and I did it with save states.
To get the achievements in the Steam port you have to play on serious mode which has no save states and no rewinding and also doesn't even let you save the game
I'm going to do it, it's going to be a long and arduous road
