XMPP is the only reasonable option with single sign on across multiple servers. The only reason people don't care about that now is everyone has been using the same centralized IRC server and are just used to logging in every time.
Already working in the RSS feeds with peertube/NATube if you ever want to check it against one of Dave's live streams. Or I can set up a test stream.
@npub12x8…mjy3 has their web app configured to customize the embedded iframe client with a custom theme that makes it look native.

It's not as if fdroid doesn't exist. We should stop making software choices based on gatekeeper decisions.
Especially because PWAs are and always will be hammered by browser vendors.
That said, YouTube HLS and DASH streams can be put into RSS feeds and played like any other video.

Comments are primarily for the listeners and community. They shouldn't (or even can't, in some cases) be implemented as just a json file for a number of complicated reasons. The primary of which being if you want real discourse to take place, the community needs to be free to discuss what they want without being censored. People can block each other if they want to, just like Mastodon.
And, while boosts are not comments, the problem is certain parts of the podcasting 2.0 ecosystem have used them as comments anyway. This has created a dangerous precedent because the podcaster can choose which "paid comments" to display due to the closed nature of the lighting network.
There are many ways around this, primarily involving moving boost text out of the lighting network and attaching payment proofs to a message in something like ActivityPub. But a shortcut was taken and here we are. Adam likes to say no one has implemented other payment methods, but people like me plan to. I just haven't gotten there yet.
You can try your authoritarian comments in json. Don't say I didn't warn you when it goes south. Sorry I don't have loads of VC money to do it the right way immediately.

@npub158j…rnxn I was also thinking that we could plug into some of the event handling interfaces decks have to output the current playing track for live events and live wallet switching.
Just need examples like the .cue files etc to work with to start building the tools. Unfortunately, I don't have a set of Pioneer CDJs in front of me :)
