Here is the full text of the second half of her statement.
"I think a podcast is whatever podcast creators and listeners say it is, and they’re telling us more and more that to them, a podcast can be video, it can be interactive, it can exist outside of an RSS feed. And since all of those things introduce new, great opportunities for podcasters, I don’t see why we wouldn’t lean into them as an industry."

agree with your statement. They are saying the delivery method is irrelevant. They are saying that RSS is not needed for it to be a podcast. They are simply wrong.

Spotify is trying to change the definition of "podcast." They are wrong about podcasting and their strategy with it. Open RSS is the way to keep podcasting free and open. Their walled garden approach is not helping podcasting.

I was glad to see [@dovydas](https://podcastindex.social/@dovydas ) get the shoutout in the article. I shared it with my cousin that I have been trying to convince to put out his music V4V for the last few months and he is going to dip his toe in the water this week after reading. This could have an impact if the right people see it.

calling a "boost" or a "zap" a "tip" in the article is just inaccurate. These are not "tips," but are a direct payment of value to the artist. It is no different than buying an album on CD or on iTunes (man I feel dated even typing that).

setting up their own node would be the best since it remains fully in their control. They can purchase an Umbrel Home or Start9 server and do it. I’m looking to setup a service or guide for doing this using MiniPC hardware like a Beelink S12 Pro and upgrading the storage drive with a 2 TB SSD.

thanks. It just stuck out as an odd occurance for a #V4VMusic show. The only thing I can possibly come up with is there might be a “click farm” using Fountain promotions to earn Sats and then transferring them out to other wallets. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Just throwing this out there to see if anyone else has thought… I did a paid promotion on Fountain to see what the results might look like. I wound up with listen totals that didn’t match OP3 and a large portion coming out of Nepal of all places.
