I had never read a Sowell book, just excerpts, but I've been listening to his Basic Economics, 4th Ed. And he reads it himself. It's a little dry but so well done. It's also remarkable that he recongizes Marx and Engel for all their failings, we're very good at understanding economics actually, and that part ignored by many leaders. Not saying Real Marxism works, but there was proper theory in some parts.

This old tree is falling apart, but is stunning when it blooms and makes really nice shade for the birds, they love sitting in it.

LOL I bought a cheap set of carving tools, but I do understand that knife is important to be of good quality for the long run. Doug sets a lot of these up for the most serene and peaceful moments whittling away. That's probably half of what I love about it. I have a hard time retaining his facial geometry tricks he has, but they're great.

I have never bought a Liquid Death product before. Market base, seems pretentious, and I bought these wondering if it would be interesting. I love fruity pebbles themed things. I didn't realize a few things about this product. It's mildly sweet, I thought it was just bubble water with flavoring. Next, the taste. It ranges from probably soggy corn pops in water, to toner cartridge essence soaked in water. Not impressive. I'd stay away, and am guessing most of you be like, "Ya, Duh!"

Me, ever the nostalgist. I went and bought everyone an uncirculated set of US coins for their birth year. What was cool was the 74 and 75 ones came in these envelopes that were old, just as they were made 50+ years ago. These aren't worth much, but create a tie to a time and are in great shape for viewing under magnification for mint marks and stamping details.
