@nprofile…qw0a Wie dringend ist es? Es sollte möglich sein, ein Feature zu programmieren, mit dem man einen Account kopieren kann. D.h. dass man sowohl die Kontakte importiert, denen man folgt und dass die Beiträge inklusive der korrekten Zeitstempel importiert werden.

a question concerning circles and mentions: Imagine you create a non public post to a circle, your followers or a dedicated list of people. Now you mention someone in the post who is not part of that. Should the person receive the post or not?
Currently we don't transmit the post to that person. But there could be situations where you deliberately want to include a person in the discussion who is not part of your circles and cannot be added.
What do you think?

@nprofile…qw0a Man kann den Code noch verwenden. Das erheblich allgemeinere ist die bessere Wahl, da es für alle Medien gilt, die eingebettet werden, d.h. nicht nur Youtube, sondern auch Deezer, Apple Music, Vimeo, ...
BTW: und sollten wirklich nur bei echten Video- bzw. Audiodateien verwendet werden.

@nprofile…zf28 Der Unterschied zwischen den beiden Gruppen ist der, dass bei dem einen die Posts öffentlich sind, beim anderen aber nicht. Und ja, es ist alles leider etwas umständlich. Friendica ist das Schweizer Messer des Fediverse und etwa genauso umständlich zu bedienen 😀

The channel "Latest posts" that you are using here shows only posts that you already have got in your timeline.

@nprofile…m59t @nprofile…swm4 Friendica supports custom emojis from other instances, but we don't support adding new ones per instance. One reason is that there is still an accessibility issue with them, see my issue that I created in the Mastodon repository in 2018: github.com/mastodon/mastodon/i…
Another reason is that Friendica is able to create posts that also appear on other system (not only ActivityPub). But these custom emojis will only work with ActivityPub and will look ugly on other systems.

What you can have a look for, is a link on the page with the media that contains words like "embed" or "get embedded code" or something like that.
BTW: ceskatelevize.cz is sadly uncooperative. They don't allow the embedding of their player. They set a specific header, so that Firefox tells me, that it is not allowed.

@nprofile…d8lr Odysee works out of the box, Peertube is supported natively, due to AP.
iVysilani offers something, but I will need to do some more work.
For the other ones it doesn't work out of the box. My search for the sites and the word "embed" or "oembed" hasn't returned anything that I was able to read 😀 If you can investigate there, it would be great. Sometimes you find some developer documentation with an URL that you can execute to fetch the embed code.

What (dubious) video, audio and podcast services do you know?
Background: For some time now I'm working at the embedding of remote media (audio and video). It is now massively improved in the RC, but I want to test it against as much services as possible, since some need some additional support. Currently I have tested:
