this is me saying I recommend Primal to newbies because it's the Nostr client most similar to legacy socials.
however, after a brief reflection, maybe that's the wrong move and mindset.
introducing people to Nostr via a familiar-feeling environment seems like the logical move, but maybe it's destined to provide a lesser first touch for people.
maybe someone's first time on Nostr should feel novel and ever-so slightly foreign?
at the moment Nostr is a (better) alternative to Twitter, but it's probably not the killer app. so, why try to make people feel like they're on a legacy social when Nostr isn't that?

yes, ubuntu server, I have not given it access to my files and such on my main computer, I don't know if I will be, at least not at this period in time with security concerns since I'm not a dev and just use Claude to do everything for me

hmm ok! I have 2 ideas that I'll be building out shortly. One definitely Nostr heavy, so no-brainer. But the other does incorporate nostr, but just for keys and optional kind-1 posting. I just wasn't sure if there is a difference between using Claude via Anthropic to vibe the second idea, vs using Claude via Shakespeare, and how big or insigificant the difference would be

have we had this discussion or similar before? I have the vague sensation we've discussed this once-upon-a-time 😅 if we have, I think I reasoned that "try" in my interpretation here is "take action".
Failure is an inevitable part of life. Not everyone is successful 100% of the time. But in my mind, the important thing is to take action, instead of doing nothing.
Also, I don't think it's silly to quote it, there's a reason it's an uber-famous line 😃

Just finished reading Fiat Food. Some thoughts:
I moved back into my apartment at the start of the year which was also when I started taking a new "whole foods, no seed oil, more meat, avoid preservatives and processed garbage" diet. Essentially, eating "clean".
I had wanted to start eating this way earlier but it's hard to eat exactly how you want to when you're living in hostels and out of a backpack for months on end.
Nonetheless, I've been eating clean for 2 months now, inspired by hearing about the carnivore diet and fiat food, so this book was at the top of my list for 2026.
It's eye-opening how deep and systematic "fiat food" is. Even for someone deep down the Bitcoin rabbit hole, it was still a baffling. I imagine someone not down the rabbit hole reading the book would be very blown away.
I won't be going strict carnivore. Eating clean has been working excellently and I feel great! While I enjoy and value the experience of eating too much to go strict carni, I will be upping my meat intake.
tldr: gonna maintain my clean eating, add more meat. Still enjoy other foods
