If you run your own node you can see any payment from any app. If you use a platform you are stuck with the limitations and setup of the particular platform you choose.
Not sure if I have answered the question exactly, but if you're comig to some sort of conclision that v4v music shows are "pointless" you might just be missing the point lol

I would love to hear where your brain is at lately with communities and how to do it.
My current plan I'm working on is essentially to turn my podcast website into a dual Podcasting 2.0 player and nostr client. Just want to keep it feature-lean and simple...seems like anyone who gets the nostr bug ends up jamming every possible feature in that doesnt make sense for their use case and then you end up with a bloated pile of crap.
Communities seem like a lot of untapped potential.

First had to set up a wire guard tunnel to a vps. Then installed LNBits, put it at a subdomain, then installed the LNURLp extension in LNBits to get the LN address.
Lots of troubleshooting had to go down though lol. Typing it up that way makes it sound a little more straightforward than it was

Spent the first half of the day *FINALLY* customizing my own LN address, something that's been on the wish list for years. You can now send sats to spencer@pay.bowlafterbowl.com and zaps should now be directed there as well. My own domain receiving sats to my own node. Hell yeah.
