Just listening to the media from last night and they just can't stop talking up the Hantavirus as the next election cycle is coming. They are hinting of lock downs again and voting by mail.

2026-05-03 14:00:54 UTC

Things to think about:
1. VHS crappy standard Porn kept it from dying
2. AMD won 64 bit not Intel-Intel, Intel made 64 bit incompatible with previous CPU's
3. IPv6, should have take over, but IETF made it not compatible with how admins manage IPv4
4. Electric cars, luxury prices for zero benefit. More damage to environment just for batteries.
5. Solar panels, toxic to the environment, no way to dispose of, and unknown life span, most fail in 4 to 5 years
6 Windmills, need standby Nat Gas plants

What you are missing is the cutting back on releasing fully baked software. Apps and web sites introduced the "continuous deployment" model and minimal viable product concepts. Test Driven Development was developed to address the rapid release cycle by removing dedicated testing teams. What a mess was made of of the software industry by these processes.

Oh this is great, democrats judge shopping for a judge that will rule that President Trump cannot issue pardons until there is congressional review. Where in the Constitution is this said? Historically POTUS always had the power to pardon unless you are named Trump right?

The Iran opening the Straits is now being broadcasted by Iranian news as only 30-50 ships per day and will stop and inspect ships as they pass to slow things down. And only select countries will be allowed to pass.
So immediately Iran goes back on unfettered transport though the Straits.

2026-04-08 11:22:49 UTC

Trump wins again with Iran literally surrendering and the media spins it at a Trump TACO again.
Did anyone read the official report from the White House on what Iran has put on the table to get to this point? Unfettered shipping though the Straights of Hormuz . Along with abandoning enriching uranium?

So did you know there is no "assembly line" of the Artemis rocket and their components? We are back to contractor hell of building as needed by NASA. That was one of the biggest comments on the SpaceX chat yesterday, how will NASA keep momentum if it takes 2 years for each rocket to be built and tested?

Happy World Backup Day!
Today’s the annual reminder to protect your digital life — photos, documents, projects, and everything in between.
A few quick best practices:
3–2–1 Rule: 3 copies, 2 different storage types, 1 offsite.
Automate backups so you never forget.
Test your restores — a backup you can’t restore isn’t a backup.
Encrypt sensitive data before sending it offsite.
Take 10 minutes today to make sure your backups are solid.
