The reason why my train was delayed this morning. Welcome to #London :-) https://image.nostr.build/761d52774b2d1c787cb016f85a95e5225685f23bdedb18e494924ea1ea174509.jpg

I recently interviewed a candidate for my team. At the end, I always leave time for their questions.
Usually, it’s the usual stuff: team size, tech stack, ways of working.
But this time, the candidate asked me just one question: “What’s your impression of me after this interview?”
It caught me off guard. I had to quickly review my notes and summarise my thoughts on the spot.
That single question left a positive and lasting impression and made the candidate stand out.

What’s the situation with Angular these days? Is it worth sticking with it or better to move to React? (I’m dealing with a legacy web app)

Looks like there will be a new trend on X - Organisations deleting their accounts.
It’s so difficult to distinguish what’s true or false on the platform, it has became a dumpster fire.
X is at the point where Elon is reposting fake and dangerous posts created by verified users.
There’s a big difference between freedom of speech and fake/misleading news designed to cause conflicts. https://image.nostr.build/5917b057ba143b0fa8b4d2aea56d97fabc775eb0363533c065ce8f2ae8a2f618.jpg

Hello from #Riga 👋🏻
Have you ever had a coffee bubble tea? It’s incredible! https://image.nostr.build/f76cc84110a6ebee45b89d8fe4897a1607888ee258383a4bf9f3815ea0e3a69e.jpg

I’m looking at Fairphone as my next phone, just waiting until my current iPhone gets old 🙃

2024-05-13 07:49:15 UTC

Are you an #iPhone user?
If you had to get a new phone that isn’t iPhone, what would you go for?

Got a used ThinkPad from eBay. Sometimes I just want to play with different operating systems for fun.
What OS should I install?
- FreeBSD
- OpenBSD
- Something Linux apart from Ubuntu? https://image.nostr.build/3f6b0528161691948136a470191546983fb50f572cad95871419f1e3971ae131.jpg

Had a bubble tea at the end of my walk. Why it’s always so difficult to get remaining bits of tapioca and coconut jelly out of the cup? https://image.nostr.build/fe202cf5b58f6235f62e87f58679da21017087d66eaf4d6ba979ce1a95423cc1.jpg

Had a lovely walk from Gallions reach to Bow Creek eco park. London is amazing during summery weather (above 15C). https://image.nostr.build/a284c576d495cbb33ad4bf998f3b0ed1a7d948236bb8eba758a332d137d14aab.jpg

Why do we need to break in new shoes?
I’m spending so much money on a new pair of shoes and have to go through this painful process again and again.
Why can’t they make shoes that don’t require breaking in? There are a few brands that feel just right but most of the time it’s painful. 😣

I woke up feeling angry. Rest of the dream was okay.
Somehow this dream manifested in the real life, barista made a wrong coffee the same day.

2024-01-27 09:20:48 UTC

Had a dream where I tried to order coffee at a fancy coffee shop. Barista messed up my order at least 3 times, then I woke up.
Technically that was a nightmare?

Couldn’t resist getting that Rabbit R1 thing. Hopefully it arrives sometime this year as a lovely surprise.
Asked Siri what she thinks about Rabbit R1. Absolutely clueless, no surprise…
Alexa refused to reply (literally, just stays quiet) 🤨 https://image.nostr.build/1b70e9592f88dd7a41d8675ca14599c087cddda9633f1cf845b70c56ebf8504d.jpg

I’m not sure what they’ve spent that money, it probably wasn’t home for the homeless.
This popped up on X moments ago: https://x.com/bladeofthes/status/1711093324772180281?s=46&t=47LwA8g3liCQJJ6clIcuPg
I’ll have a look at SF situation, quite curious.

2023-10-09 17:04:14 UTC

I don’t understand why homelessness is a thing? Why can’t we just build homes and help people who need a home?

2023-09-26 11:30:16 UTC

When someone offers you “the best price” for something, it’s always worth checking if there’s even a better price somewhere else :-)

What’s your backup plan?
I usually get lots of iced drinks (not the best solution but it helps for 10 min).

Good morning #Nostr 👋
Waking up at 5am isn’t fun. On my way to the airport, can’t wait to grab coffee asap.

2023-07-17 07:46:48 UTC

I’m officially on holiday starting from today.
Slack notifications are turned off, hopefully nothing goes wrong at work while I’m away.
I’m flying to #Bergen on Wednesday, then spending a few days in #Stockholm on Friday.
Looking forward to see Stockholm metro stations in person (Google it :D)

#Twitter people are happy to get their ad money while we are getting #zaps for posting memes and being happy about #zapathon. You can get zaps for making someone's day, beutiful!

As far as I know nothing stops this type of content appearing on Nostr.
Let’s say, someone starts posting harmful content on Nostr. How would we deal with it?
#censorship #content #moderation #nostr

Well, flat white is bit more complex than that (lol, I sound like some hipster). It does require milk froth and espresso though.
I don’t mind pre-heating the machine if it produces good coffee at the end :P The only concern is the current energy price in the UK, it probably ends up cheaper spending £4 at the coffee shop 🤣

I’ve changed quite a few note taking apps during past few years, #Obsidian takes the first place.
My journey so far:
- Bear
- Obsidian
- Logseq
- Apple Notes for work
- Obsidian
The trick is to keep your note taking simple, I only use a few plugins. Graph is for showing off, I rearly look at it.
Btw, there’s an opportunity to create Zapple Notes ⚡️⚡️⚡️

What builder are you using? You could also try to jump into Astro and Tailwind world (astro.build, tailwindcss.com) , it’s not too difficult to start building sites with Astro.
