Door to door tactics. Grassroot decentralized movements aimed at attracting people to be part of voting & elections process.
Snowball of agitation. Find 1 person around you who don't vote (IRL, NO INTERNET!), and convince that person to vote everywhere - primaries, attend caucuses, full cycle. One active person re-engages one "disengaged" person.

Actually this (increase day-to-day engagement with all these elections) would be repair representation of voters by elected officials. And it is single recipe to resurrect the system, because all other stuff, let it be abolishing electoral college or making rating-based voting a reality, or UBI or whatever else requires getting decent people elected instead of maga.

Well I told it in different sense - elections of president, senate in 2 seasons/rounds, representatives, state governor & AC, state senates and state-level representatives, mayors, city councils, school boards, I heard there are even sheriffs (!) elections...
It requires political engagement from citizens 366 days in year. But many as I see think politics is a dirty shit like rotten corpse of a rat to be avoided.

I live far far away from United States, and yet, even for me is obvious, that system in USA was designed with "permanent engagement" of voters in mind, all year around - primaries to fill candidates list, caucuses to refine it better, popular vote, and eventually - Electoral College (more like artifact of times when it took weeks or months to get all voting results across states).
Do all US elections follow this pattern (except EC)?

Generally speaking, at some point if it all will go that long, even uint64 will not be enough. And even some datetime with uint128 with most part given to year eventually will not be enough 🧐 Imagine if it will require to use something like BigInteger (yes, that from cryptography) to store time, especially in file system or as timestamps in network protocols?!

usage of less known languages would cause problems. Imagine you have to switch keyboard layout because each statement written in different languages ```

I just may be got confused, because each of these fediverse apps designed not as a "plugins" for some foundation like Kitten, such e. g. long-reads/blog authoring for it, or photo gallery feature for Kitten, which would share identity. So I want be kote@example.tld in all of these "plugins" and across Fediverse. These isolated apps at best would live at blog.example.tld, photos.example.tld, news.example.tld and im.example.tld domains set.

I find sad that even if I think about making outline for some service that able to federate with ActivityPub / Fediverse, it also means I have to think about something that can be deplatformed, outlawed or censored out in 2025.
But both ActivityPub (and even ATProto) is NOT designed to be functional in such conditions.
Attempt to support it makes immediately you dependent on pyramid of:
💻 servers, likely cloud
📜 DNS
🔑 SSL certificate(s)
Each of above can become point of failure 🧵

What is the clinical necessity to post photos of "own" children (don't like this verbal formula but not know better) at corporate "social media"? I bet this done by parents without asking children consent to do so.
Of course I heard that there are parents whose brains fried out to point they do silly things from all this emotional and hormonal stress coming from becoming parent, but this does not make such behavior less questionable.

The fact that ruzzia got UN membership and UN SC seat with full blown veto illegally, even without a General Assembly vote, is largest example of what often called as "top corruption" of XX century.
PS: Other former soviet republics had go full legal procedure to get UN membership after restoring their statehood. Georgia got UN membership 31 July 1992.

This happens this way, in my opinion, because the tools being told about, are designed for very specific workloads, that are:
⭐ so called "mission critical" (its downtime cost money)
☠️ readiness for massive requests spike, let it be fame, DDoS attack, or "Kiss of Fediverse" (see ⭐ )

This reminds way too much of what Joseph Stalin (may he suffer in hell forever) did when got some negative statistics from the soviet statistics bureau. He ordered to execute that chief of bureau as a foreign spy and saboteur.

Yes, I follow their account for news of their development.
But to my knowledge, my phone never was supported and will never be. Reading news about Grapahene mostly out of curiosity. Regarding other similar projects, I am at same position. I basically keep using my old phone (a model released in 2020) until it stop to power on completely or until it become somehow unusable for something I use it daily.

This is a multi-faceted decision, with plenty of consequences.
From "now if you don't want go to jail, go and become candidate before court will sentence you. Even if you convicted already.
BUT! Nobody can say that US authorities eat political opponents for dinner. Even MAGA.
MAGA, they now have opportunity to fart out all their hate for today reality they dislike so much at ballot box, not with gun.

Well, if I would be a senator, I would pushed for a law to forbid "PoW consensus mechanisms" (the consensus logic based on who faster compute a solution for an equation or other numeric puzzle). And I would forbid usage of any such logic no matter for what - let it be crypto, voting blockchain or distributed data storage.
Just because it causes plenty of problems - from centralization via expensive equipment and plenty of e-waste to scams like these schemes.

If it was always so, then nobody would ever see THAT bsod, as it was caused by crashing kernel driver, a very privileged software. So it means that for windows at least it is not ended up with some standard protocol with 'exclamation on a software device".

Still, this is NOT enough to prevent failure in situation when "user input" is involved, even if it is some "content update" for security driver.
Real problem there was not the fact the kernel panic happened but more the fact that recovery strategy that does not require manual intervention did not implemented.

Like, some `switch` construct got optimized into kind of `foo[bar].doCrap(ctx, data)` construct? But the `foo[bar]` kind of construct without default pathway can happen in Rust anyway if that thing constructed dynamically (e. g. by other earlier part of arriving data).
this can be a common situation for some "rules engine" or other high-level code execution branching infrastructure.
Does Rust can enforce "always have a meaningful result for `foo[bar]` construct?

Here broken piece of input comes, and your memory safe code dies with exit code 9000. I mean, this whole situaiton when faulty driver can cause crash whole system instead of markng this driver as faulty and to not not use it at next boot, and if necessary, reboot with new settings, or use special fallback driver whose purpose would be to report about problem on next reboot, and then it would be quite short outage and systems would be alive after few reboots, read - few minutes max.

I agree that memory-safe languages are necessary. And many others here would agree on this.
But many coders write in C and C++ in a way like these languages are memory-safe. Like, "Hey, Bob, why you check this parameter for array size bounds here? I already checked it in function which calls this code! Your check slows code for 0.3%!".
But problem that caused this outage is NOT a memory leak or out-of-bounds data read/write. It was malformed "content update". Broken input data.

Imagine if someone write such kernel driver in memory-safe language. But malformed update arrives anyway. So this memory-safe driver crashes, but may be with other error code, leaving the system unbootable anyway. So, it really require complex changes, which will not happen.

I use typescript mostly because of:
1️⃣ it work more or less like compilation step, and prevent running broken code in most cases
2️⃣ It better supports generics than JSDOC's `@template` directive.
3️⃣ IDE's itellisense features love TS more than these JSDoc declarations. So with typescript i get some productivity boost than without it.
If vanila JS and JSDoc will give me that, I will not need TS anymore
