Still sounds like it could be serious since the notes say it will be disclosed later. Let’s hope it’s not wallet draining serious though.

Had his server hacked, his pgp keys stolen along with 200+ BTC. FBI got involved leading to a subpoena for information about attendees at a Bitcoin developer event that took place in 2022 allegedly because Luke believed it was someone at the event.

That was the last one that had any value, after I cashed mine out I decided I would never waste my time claiming split coins again. I did get to buy more bitcoin so I guess it worked out. 😎

Would be a waste of time even claiming them, doubt they will end up being worth the trouble.

I remember when the Bitcoin Glacier protocol was first published and thinking it was taking security a bit too far and gave up the idea of using it but recent events reminded me of it again.
I’m not suggesting people use this, it’s complex, doesn’t look like it’s been updated in a long time but it does contain lots of useful info which will hopefully help you secure your bitcoin and be more paranoid!

For sure, sadly people love rubbing salt in the wound and forget it could be them next.

Yeah seems a change was made in firmware version 4.0.0 - March 17, 2021 which changed the way RNG was generated and wallets generated before that should be fine, not sure I’d want to risk it and wait until the full report from coinkite comes out though

Nice one! set nostr up in 2023 then didn’t touch it till now, kinda surprised I still had the keys. I do have 21 sats stuck in my old alby wallet though so must have got a zap somehow.

I set nostr up years ago, it’s taken me this long to make my first post :/

That might be a good thing to be honest, if/when it gets popular we might wish to return to these simpler times.

Oh so that’s how you zap, totally didn’t mean to do that (twice) 😂 good to know I set everything up right
