Unfortunately, @nprofile…269w has had to withdraw from the world’s highest ultra marathon due to severe weather preventing him from reaching the race camp in time to acclimatise.
After months of dedicated training, we know how frustrating this must be for him. We’re proud of the PoW he’s put in, and we’ll be cheering him on for the next big challenge. Better luck next time, Caffeine!

The Khardung La Challenge covers 72 km through the Trans-Himalayan range, with nearly 60 km run above 4,000m, where the oxygen is roughly half that at sea level. This is his biggest challenge yet, after months of intense proof-of-work.

On this day, 16 years ago Hal Finney tweeted: “Just got back from 11 mile run - really treasure each one now.”
This was 17 days after he was diagnosed with ALS. He ran a half marathon on September 6, 2009 - his last real run.
