The new #Melania #movie is an excellent argument in favor of returning to filming with nitrate stock.

And you know who’s going to be the most vocal complainer? My money is on Rep. Jim Jordan, who [checks notes] defied a Congressional subpoena for 500 days.

I heard him say he was going to Russia on Friday. (Yes, he really did. It’s on the video: https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/watch-live-trump-holds-news-briefing-on-plans-for-homelessness-and-crime-in-washington at about 1 hour 10 minutes from the start)

P.S. Honest question: why do you never add #AltText to your posts? Is it too difficult on the system you’re using? Is it that you’ve never done it before and thus have no idea how to do it? Do you simply feel no need to do so (even though it would be *extremely* helpful to visually impaired people)?

There’s an option that I would call “near-extreme anti-AI”, which stops short of violence: concerted action to “poison the well” to the point that AI results become virtually useless.

It’s inspired by a chant I heard in Austria: „Schießt den Kickl auf dem Mond, das ist Raumfahrt, die sich lohnt!“ -- “Shoot Kickl (far-right politician) to the moon; that’s a space trip that’s worth it.”
Not sure how you could get the same idea with a rhyme in English.

Post from Haltbakk Bunkers:
We have today been witnesses to the biggest shitshow ever presented "live on tv" by the current American president and his vice president. Huge credit to the president of Ukraine restraining himself and for keeping calm even though USA [US flag emoji] put on a backstabbing tv show. It made us sick. Short and sweet. As a result, we have decided to immediate STOP as fuel provider to American forces in Norway and their ships calling Norwegian ports.
"No Fuel to Americans!"
We encourage all Norwegians and Europeans to follow our example. SLAVA UKRAINA [Ukraine flag emoji]

How to safely leave your conservative husband.
Start saving any money you can.
There’s no need to discuss anything with him or his family; make up your mind and act on it.
Use his job to your advantage; leave while he’s there for the day/night.
He can and will attempt to take the children from school; keep that in mind.
Use the grey rock method: Do not engage.
Replace electronics he can easily track.
Keep your plan to yourself!!

As seen in a reddit post: To most Christians, the Bible is like a software license. Nobody actually reads it. They just scroll to the bottom and click "I agree."

I had rated #California’s Gov. Gavin #Newsom at about a 7 out of 10 in terms of #policy governing style, etc.
This lowers it to about a 3, if not lower:

Gov. Tim Walz speaks on the Republican agenda: You tell me who in Wisconsin is sitting around saying, Damn, I wish they’d give billionaires tax cuts and screw me over. Damn, I wish they’d take my health care away. I wish they’d underfund my public school. I wish they would make my job more difficult and more dangerous, and then at the end of the day, I wish they’d make me work till I’m 75 years old. No one’s saying that. No one’s asking for that agenda. What they’re asking for is to be treated fairly with dignity. That’s what we ask.

Two-panel meme. Upper half shows a puppet monkey looking away; at its right is the "two-slit" experiment from physics; light from the two slits creates a diffraction pattern with many lines on a block.
Lower half shows puppet monkey looking at the two slits, now there are only two lines on the block.

Could you please add some #altText or explanation for this? Even though I am sighted, I do not understand what the cartoon is trying to express.
(For those wanting #altText: it is a two-panel cartoon. The top panel shows a man in front of a conveyor belt, producing rectangles with two black bars on them. The bottom panel shows the same conveyor belt, without the man, and it is producing rectangles with seven black bars on them.)
