A recent toot around here made me think about #giftedness and #autism. There's a lot of overlap. As there is between autism and #cPTSD.
So it got me wondering how you know that you're autistic and not, say, gifted and traumatized. Or autistic and traumatized, rather than gifted. Or if it matters at all (we're struggling anyways, aren't we?). Could accomodations and support even be that specific?
What's your take on this?

Letztens wieder ein Gespräch gehört, in dem gesagt wurde, das Jobcenter finanziere Bürgergeldempfangenden schöne teure Wohnungen, die sich Arbeitende nicht leisten könnten. Der Hass auf diese Gruppe wird von verschiedenen Seiten geschürt.
Was für mich der eigentliche Skandal am #Bürgergeld ist: wir finanzieren mit Steuermitteln, dass Leute im Niedriglohnsektor ausgebeutet werden (Aufstocker), damit Unternehmen mehr Gewinn machen. Wir behandeln pflegende Angehörige wie Dreck.

habt ihr gute Empfehlungen für ein Tattoo Studio?
Bisher habe ich weder Piercing noch Tattoo, trage mich jetzt aber mit dem Gedanken, mir ein Tattoo stechen zu lassen.
Ich habe eine grobe Vorstellung, bräuchte aber Beratung, ohne was aufgeschwatzt zu bekommen.
Pluspunkte für möglichst reizarme Umgebung (keine Musik, keine starken Gerüche...).

Good point 🤔
It probably is all very subjective. I acknowledge the pain. It's not in my head, it *is* there. But I'm not sure if it means that something's really wrong with my shoulder (beyond "keep it low for a few days").
Anyways, I'll try to find someone who can have a look at it.

yeah, this could be a helpful indicator, but still is a bit vague.
It kept me from getting to sleep, even though the pain killers helped a bit. I woke up several times, but could get back to sleep fast. Putting clothes on, washing etc is definitely very difficult/painful.
But still: does this mean it actually *is* bad, or am I simply overreacting?
Trying to reach the doctor. They need to tell me how bad it is. Don't trust myself.

Yesterday, I slipped a bit. I caught myself, but somehow did something to my shoulder. It hurts badly. But I'm not sure if I'm too sensitive, or if it's worse than I'm thinking.
"On a scale from 1 to 10, how bad is it?"
"No idea. Childbirth was overwhelmingly painful, this isn't as bad. I've had migraines and back pain that made me cry. Maybe like this?"

As I've started watching The Rings of Power, I thought I should see the movies again and finished The Return of the King yesterday. Some things aren't quite clear to me though. Maybe I should watch the extended version some time, or read the books 🤔

I am wondering whether y'all have experienced similar stuff.
From my own experience (struggling to get an endometrium ablation at age 40 to treat hypermenorrhea) and what I've heard from other people, it seems to be way harder to get medical care that could reduce/stop fertility for people with uteruses.
Did you get a vasectomy? Was it easy? Did you get your tubes tied? Was it easy? Which country? Comments?

Ja, genau. Dauernd alles mögliche. Aber die Leute liegen halt nicht (mehr) für 10 Tage mit Fieber, Schmerzen usw wie bei Grippe völlig am Boden. Daher meinen sie, Covid wäre jetzt harmlos (dir brauche ich das ja nicht erklären).

Bin da nicht so optimistisch. Irgendwie scheinen sich die Leute daran gewöhnt zu haben, alle paar Wochen krank zu sein 🤷 Man plant ja mittlerweile sogar schon so 😑
Dachte, über die warmen Monate wäre es besser. Aber so richtig Ruhe kommt nicht rein.
Allerdings muss man schon sagen, dass die Leute auch mit C nicht mehr so lange und schwer akut krank sind. Und es stecken sich nicht mehr "alle" an. Immunität scheint besser (hilft halt wenig für Gefäßschäden).
