Today I felt really proud of myself. Passo del Tonale, snow slopes. My wife and I don't know how to ski (we'll learn sooner or later), but we paid for lessons for our son, who is learning well.
I obviously had my camera around my neck, but I'm crazy enough to have brought my medium format film camera too. Twenty-four shots in two days, and I can't wait to develop the rolls.

At home sick. I recovered and picked up this book again. Maybe it's because I'm stuffed full of medicine, but it opened up a whole new world for me, even though I had already read it. If that's the effect it has, I might try rereading a couple of chapters while completely drunk.

It takes courage and dedication. Zero automatism, and even an expensive light meter is useless if you don't know how to use it. And using this 70 years old camera makes me feel more like a photographer than ever. I am totally in love.

Finally, after more than a year and several attempts, I managed to do what I had in mind. I'm happy with it. The post-production is very natural, minimal, probably without any wow effect. But for me, it's perfect.

I met Steve several years ago when I was taking photos at a wedding and he was among the guests. We both share a passion for technology and, being two professionals in the field (he also works with video), we hit it off right away.
Unfortunately, since I live in Italy and he lives in Canada, we were never able to see each other.
Years later, I discovered that his wife had passed away from cancer, leaving him with a young son (whom I met at the time). This boy is a promising future soccer player with tremendous strength of character.

The Instagram page of the municipality of Bologna shared a photo where you can see the basilica of San Luca, the center of Bologna (and so far so good) with the Milky Way above, in a spot where you can't mathematically see it.

Yesterday afternoon I rode my motorcycle 40 minutes from home to do something.
I had no jacket with protectors, or proper boots or pants, just a T-shirt, jeans and regular shoes. I always went under the speed limit.
However, 4 times 4 stupid people driving a car have risked causing me to fall and hurt me quite badly.
When I drive a car I always have all the respect (and sometimes envy) for bikers, but apparently those like me are very few, and driving distractions can really make a difference for motorcycle riders.
Be careful, please, I had a good four times yesterday.

A neighbor of mine called me to do a couple of jobs around the house, put up a chandelier, replace a couple of broken light switches, in short, definitely simple things. One of the things was to be done in the garage, and he says, here are some things you might be interested in, old photographic equipment of my father's.
Let's finish what we have to do, and I'll look into it. 3-4 digital cameras and HER, a 6x6 rolleyflex.
My eyes pop out of my head, I've never had a medium format, and who do I ask how much he wants. His response was:
"Take it, I don't want anything."
With my eyes sparkling I came home as happy as my son in front of a new lego set.
Welcome home honey, in the next few days l will buy you some rolls of film and start doing again what I was doing at the beginning of my photographic journey, but this time medium format

This is where I grew up. My summers with my two childhood friends playing Risiko and Monopoly.
Lots of good memories wiped out by growing up, family quarrels absolutely meaningless.
Why did I come here? So that my son can play with my cousin's children, otherwise they would really never see me here again.
