The halving will occur at blockheight 840000. Since blocks come in every 10 minutes ON AVERAGE it is impossible pin-point it exactly. Even when block 839999 is mined it can't be determined when block 840000 is mined. Could be a minute, could be an hour. But in 10 minutes on average 😉
Tip: open up a tab, go to mempool.space and observe it during the day having a peek once every so often. You will see blocks in rapid or slow succession, but the average is 10 minutes 👍

No, they already realised they can't take down a decentralised network using packet switching in 1969 when DARPA saw the centralised point to point network is vurnable for attack and hence created the internet.
They also leave torrent up- and downloaders allone as the ROI makes it cost prohibitive.

The way I envision it, it would be an account that one could do a search query on to find the file one is looking for.
There should be a button that creates a new pubkey from the privkey so the person (who clicked that button) holding the privkey can copy and sync with one or various torrent accounts.
That would make torrent *really* decentralised.

Don't know how difficult that is. I failed to get "hello world" on my screen in 5 different languages, so not for me. But would be quite a nice idea I think.

I think that over time everything will be build on top of nostr. And the decentraland wil scatter even further into smaller bits and pieces.
An uber with a relay for every town and city so outside that relay it is hard to find out where you are going to and from for example.

If I understood correctly, on the lightning network 1/1000th of a sat is already the smallest denomination. And by the time the party occures I don't think the main chain is used other than for lightning.
Also, it is technically not that difficult to break sats up into a thousand or more parts.
Now... let's debate on the name of a 1/1000th sat. I say a Nakamoto. Makes sense huh? 😄
