to be fair like in high school i stumbled into what i thought was a cool antique fountain pen which almost immediately became unusable because it was probably actually a cheapie thing and i guess i've just been a fountain pen sleeper agent ever since, waiting to be activated by confusion and depression

i've historically listened to the Syntax podcast a bit here and there but eventually dropped it pretty hard after it became clear from the show titles and notes that the guys over there were absolutely balls deep in AI; no thanks, i don't need to listen to that, thank you for making me feel less guilty for basically listening to nothing but funny movie podcasts all the time

Running's been a bit of a struggle since the race (post race blues + life/work stress + "oh my glob it cold now"). But...I just managed to cross off mile 1100 for the year (and 1101 and 1102) which puts me like 130 over last year? We'll see what kind of momentum I can build up before the year's end.

And yup, stuck a little string-to-date converter as needed in my filters and I'm good to go. Easy!
Next question probably is more involved—is it possible to set an automatic file naming per collection/schema? I typically don't name my files but just give them an automatic filename based on date. Absolutely not a big deal and I can add this as a feature request issue if you want to file it away for the future.

Oh wow, I think I figured it out—Mattrbld is writing the date to the front matter surrounded by single quotes, where my existing process does not, and my url filters read the quoted version as an invalid date. I think I can accommodate for the difference on my side!

Integrated it into one of my blogs last night and I’m loving it. I do have a question (well, maybe a couple). Is it possible to fine tune how a datetime is written out? Looks like the iso format mattrbld is writing to my front matter is incompatible with how my blog is doing url paths. (I need to look at it closer to see if I can adjust something on the site generator side too to see if I can adjust something on that side…)

oh yeah! I made a junk repo just to take it for a test spin and as I saw what it was doing I became quite impressed. Looks like I could pretty easily point it at a test branch of one my blogs, get it all set up, and once I'm happy with it merge it right in. It feels like a very cool take on this sort of thing...!

okay just played with @npub1nx8…kl34 by @npub1dau…34ue for like ten minutes and it looks *slick*. That said I just jumped right in without really reading the docs so TBD what I'm missing yet. Still I think there's little harm in me trying it as an alternate back-end for my static site blogs...
