when social media CEOs do something bad and cause a bunch of people to abandon / consider abandoning their platform, i wonder if they look at how many "export all my account data" requests have happened since the controversy began. like does that register to them as a significant metric.
(it's undoubtedly a small % of total users who leave, but i still wonder)

I cannot overstate how bad it will be for games as a creative medium if "time played" becomes the dominant metric by which success is measured. It will be a Dark Age for every creative person working in this field.
And the more the industry consolidates and platform holders' power grows, the more likely this becomes. I am more worried about this than any other topic in games right now.

@npub1y4h…t26u do you have an existing baseq3/q3config_server.cfg? that has a bunch of "seta" commands so you could set sv_maxclients there. but that file might be specific to some or other source port, all of which have touched my ~/.q3a dir over the years.

@npub1y4h…t26u it's been a long time since i ran a server but would simply adding "sv_maxclients 16" to an autoexec.cfg in your baseq3 dir work?
