pad occupancy time only means the time the launch vehicle will stay on the launch pad right?
So, integration of third and fourth stage in PIF reduces the time the vehicle stays on the launch pad. It only occupies the pad for the time from integration of payloads and payload fairing to launch, for the C60 mission.
I am talking of the time the pad can be used after a launch occurs. So, pad cleanup etc.

Was there a first stage liquid launch from Sriharikota before TV-D01 or Agnikul's Sorted mission?
If you go to page 6 of the List of Sounding Rocket Launches from Sriharikota on www.shar.gov.in, you find mention of a RH-560+3 Ton Liquid rocket flown on 21 October 1976.
If you move ahead you find mention of a LPR-3T-MK1-02 (not sure what happened to 01) on 6 April 1978. LPR may be Liquid Propelled Rocket. 3T may be 3 tonnes.
I did not see any other mention of this on the web.

It's close to the last week of the year. This year has been a mess, for the most part. There have been a few saves. Things have been a lot better closer to the last quarter. The SpaceX commentator said that the satellite would be used to connect remote villages, especially the North East and the Andaman and Nicobar and Lakshadweep islands. It will also be used for mobile backhaul services and plane on-board internet.
Would be interesting to see if any companies bid for the use of the last one.

The second stage did two engine burns with a 15 minute coast between the first two. There was a 4 minute coast after the second engine burn.
The satellite is parked in 68 E longitude for operations. It is now a transfer orbit and headed there.
ISRO chairman in a brief appearance said that the satellite was built on a I-6K bus. The Wikipedia article refers to it as a I-3K bus.

Yesterday evening I went to this library on NIBM road called Kitabi Chai.
Google Maps had the wrong location pin. This meant I was wandering the streets at dusk to see where it really was.
I browsed through the library where I could not figure out their organizing system. But, I was surprised by the kind of books that ended up side-by-side.
They had a small bookshop from which I picked up an Anil Menon and Charles Duhigg.
I had hot adrak chai, Maggi noodles, and Veg grilled sandwich.

High School Reunion
I went for my high school reunion on Saturday, 26 October 2024. The high school reunion was in the school premises in Mumbai. I was going to school after 22 years. The GSAT-20/GSAT-N2 has left Bangalore and is on way to the US for a launch on SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket.

Weekly Notes 43/2024
I have not been very disciplined about writing these Weekly Notes in 2024. I have not enjoyed writing on WordPress. But, the alternatives are either too technical or too expensive or the process to pay for them from India is too convoluted. But, I do not want the rest of the year to be the same. I want to be consistent.
