For the longest time I didn't see how the world of using sats for each transaction/text on social media could be incentivised. I wanted to believe this world could happen because I believe people won't say near the dumbass shit they do if there was some sort of risk to first saying it. I think this is how real life convos work, there is an initial investment of energy made before anything that's said, and that makes a lot of things not worth saying. But now with infinitely generated AI bots I see how the world of using sats in each transaction will come about and Bitcoin ends up tethering the internet to the laws of thermodynamics (POW) because of this.

I've never had any issues transfering money to buy bitcoin despite all these "crypto" banks being attacked. And I've only seen very rare cases of plebs reporting that they can't buy and it's usually a problem with their specific account.

I've never been to any meet up where I'd given out my phone # to any bitcoiners, never used signal beyond family and close friends. How do we have something be the unit of account when it "artificially" has its supply cut in half every 4 yrs? Does this make it a better money tbat's tied to reality as we all say it does? Our "reality" will be cut in half every 4 year. Just cause the monitary policy isnt controlled by humans does that make it better? Id absolutely say it does but that doesn't mean I think bitcoin's policy is the best.
What does the average citizen do when they know halvening is coming? They stack as hard as possible. It's a huge incentive to hoard and not to spend.
I bet once bitcoin becomes reserve currency we fork and completely change the issuance rate to something less dramatic. 😬
I also think an incredibly hard money creates demand for a much less hard, easier money. This is something the Keynesians say that the Austrians don't seem to acknowledge from what I've heard. And I think this is how currencies are supposed to compete, an alpha and beta, just with supplies that are not in the control of humans.

Honestly a supply halvening every 4 yrs sounds like a horrible monitary policy to have civilization on 😂. It sounds like a great thing to encourage adoption but as a reserve currency that all of society is built on?
Also realizing bitcoin can't be compared to the gold era cause gold never had these extreme regularly programmed supply decreases in it. It's an entirely new thing.

My question was very much about privacy. Please read the bitcoin privacy guide before you go thinking "sats = sats" or that each new address keeps them seperate. Bitcoin privacy is nuanced and complex. Theres a lot more to learn.

I think we're being rather naive with nostr sometimes. Once users have thousands of follows, what is a good way for them to get through their feed, without something trying to pick and choose what is their favorites?
Or at least without something choosing and highlighting their most engaged topics/ accounts?
Just chronological scrolling will take forever to get through everything, and most users really only want to see a group of repeating friends/accounts.
I guess if its open source it is about a billion times better.

The point of a badge is to be special or have some rarity. Or to be non fungible 🤣🤣.
