Also, if any app/game I use for anything makes age verification mandatory, fuck you. I'm not giving away my ID to you nor I am connecting my real identity with my online identity. No one can trust any of these companies if they can't even hold the data confidential.

I just feel like it's too my shit to deal with for so little benefit. If there's any benefit at all.
Besides, what's the point on e.g. a personal website? Information should be free. MC website? If kids can play on my MC server there's no reason for hiding commands from them (or other information about the server). Any of my Discord bots? There are 0 reasons why this would be needed. None of the features are "dangerous" for children. They just encourage chatting more actively and make it more fun, nothing else and nothing adult-only.
There are so much more disadvantages to age verification and aggestation than there are advantages. E.g. more sensitive database, age gating content that doesn't need to be age gated etc.

I will not add "birthdays" or "age verification" to my shit. And if I'm forced to, I'll make them randomly generate birthdays above 18 years old.
I don't care because it doesn't have any impact on the UX anyway.

the first commit in Akabot git repo is 2024 but the aftual bot development goes all the way back to 2023
this was way before I started caring about licenses and my privacy
collabmarkov was written somewhere in summer 2025 and I immediately used postgres as my database

sometimes I had the app crash just by opening it, so I was unable to use fedi
I just use the web interface for sharkey. the disadvantage is that it drains my battery
