I met a person once who was in a coma as an adult for a few years.
Afterwards his marriage ended and from what he told me even a decade later he still hadn’t recovered fully from it on a physical and mental level.
I guessed at the time that the ‘lost time and the lost experiences’ were the hardest to cope with but I didnt spend too much time on it mentally bc he wasnt a person I was close to.
I have a hunch that the advice of a teacher that i once had got taken too literally.. that we can only meet another as deeply as we’ve met ourselves.. i doubt that’s really true though.
To me that only applies to the bullies that don’t understand others suffering bc they are tuned into a sadistic life experience… any ‘normal’ person has the mentally capability to understand the ramifications of trauma.. no ‘other’ needs to experience the victims trauma on a visceral level. That would ask the person more than compassion it would ask a pound of flesh from the ‘other’ that mentally understands. Its too much too ask and is built on a romanticised notion that love and deep connection can only be built when you suffer together and if you’re willing to go through their fire.. but thats not their story..
this notion asks too much from the person willing to understand because it brings them on the same level but what if that was never their path to begin with.
I think its a very simple reductive creation most likely by a heartbroken child.
Where everyone has to be the same.
It might be the illness of communism.

Ill tell you what the hardest part for me was.. hobbling to the bathroom on one leg..
Starving is a strange experience..
On one hand not eating anything or next to nothing meaning maybe a banana or piece of bread for a few weeks(maybe months) felt like a relief.. feeling the body being that light was pretty much all that I could take with what was being done to my mind and in turn brain.
At some point i almost threw up when I drank a few sips of water i had a few weeks with no water 2 years before and then i was so weak 2 years later that i couldn’t bother to get up to get water.. i had a glasswater bottle that empty on the bedside table.. i had just moved towns, after the crazy person drove into me.
4 more days and its 4 years.
I posted about it in a fb group asking the women there but i made the mistake and asked in gaslighting spiritual town group.. but i shouldn’t be too hard on myself its not like whoever thought they were me at the time seemed intelligent.. at all.
When I was finally able to move around again I had a plate of rice per day and some water..
But since it was about animals and not humans I didnt drink enough.. i keep wondering how old ill be until
Ill have kidney issues.. i think its a normal human reaction to experience fear when youve been in an extreme situations over a longer period of time.
Even if its irrational fears.
I wished to die constantly.. I was hoping every-night that I wouldn’t wake up the next morning.
But that was the case already 2 years before. Going to bed was my nightmare i slept about 4 hours per night the first year afterwards.. i just ate really late and tried to make my brain so tired that i wouldn’t remember anything.
I tried to slow my heart down so that it would stop bc it was so stressed and weak anyways so i just hoped that at some point it would stop at night.
Im obviously not an expert but I think the person or soul that used to ‘own’ this body is dead.. I already had issues to remember most of anything or the way i was supposed to behave right after everything happened in 2020. I tried to recognise my own voice but it rarely came through.
Almost only the memories of others of how it sounded or other ppl tones of voices..
