Just FWIW, the President of the Senate can vote normally, unlike the Speaker of the House, however the Senate President is unable to participate in debates.
So yes @npub19sj…0xjr you're right Hanson was trying to pull a dirty one...

there have been various studies on 'trackless trams', often they end up being very expensive and don't carry as many passengers as light rail can (eg: 170 pax vs 450 pax). The reason is that to get the benefits they need to be separated from other traffic, and because they are longer, they require expensive new roads, and new stops for the buses, it's similar to BRT, which are still best suited as high frequency feeder services .

The mantra remains only do the things you promise during the campaign, and so if you didn't explicitly hear something bold, then it's not going to happen.
They might bring back some of the policies they didn't negotiate with the crossbench as it looks like have won a few more Senate seats, but nothing exciting or bold.
