I really gotta find a way to make the feed simpler, it can get complicated. But overall it's a great app! I can also definitely see it becoming more modular and local, like Notedeck. You've built so much in that direction in my view, in a modular way.

Yeah, my personal conclusion is it just doesn't matter. The uncensorability or further complexity of the network is inevitable at any and all levels. Or said in simpler terms, in a way, the integration of the network into society is the uncensorability.
Some people will be puritan, they'll maintain a certain variation of the network, but they'll be connected to everyone else through Nostr, etc, etc.
Teilhard de Chardin has this theory and concept called Omega Point, the theory is that we're heading for a complexification of society/humanity/individuals/tools/thoughts, etc, etc that will eventually lead to a higher consciousness (i.e a good thing, a better state). It looks spiritual but it has a lot of basis in physics. Plenty of people have written about this, in several fields of science. We are proof of the complexification of the universe.
So all in all, I think the network is pretty much unstoppable at this point.
Because it's not just Bitcoin, it's Bitcoin + Nostr + AI + people + everything else that is happening, like regional depopulation, which open more and more opportunities for new economic connections (circular economies), etc.
But these individual positions, groups, are fundamental, because the network can't ever be group think. On the contrary, and going back to Teilhard's perspective, the more we approach the complexification/connection with the whole, the more our individuality comes about.
Anyways, it's hard to express, but I'm personally less worried about these details than a few months ago.

Twitter became an echo chamber of neo con statists.
"Europe is dead. Europe is being replaced by immigrants.
It's too LATE. It's too late. We lost Europe, etc, etc."
At one point I was like, oh wow, it's really too late. Then I continued researching, thinking, looking for stuff, looking at numbers and eventually I understood:
The numbers don't match. Immigrants are not going to replace anybody. There isn't an invasion. The whole earth is losing population. There's thousands of cheap houses and apartments in Europe, huge regions with populations in decline.
The chaos they are seeing is happening in very specific places in the world. Mostly in the cities, in certain places and not exactly like they paint the picture.
In reality most places in Europe will be undergoing quiet depopulation. Controlled decay, like Japan. And this is just reality. And in my view that's the biggest opportunity for a better Europe. Why?
1. Rural depopulation makes houses free
2. Bitcoin allows for uncensorable savings
3. G1 empowers even more people and depopulating economies
4. Nostr allows permanent and uncensorable digital identity to better create those economies
They're fighting for the nation state masters when instead they could be building a better world.
I get it, they want to stay in the place you were born, next their parents house, etc, etc. But c'mon there's also other incredibly opportunities. Why stay stuck on something that's not going to work?
I don't know, it's just annoying at times to see all these guys agreeing writing the same posts for years on end.
Even if the right wing parties win, if all the immigrants get remigrated, their lives will suck. Just look at the average American. It's not like life became 100x better when Trump was elected.
It's annoying at times. The system is broken, they need to get out of it. Blaming all their problems on immigrants is such a dumb move.

Co-created money will be the key for true decentralization in my view. With co-created money you can bring liquidity where it didn't exist at all, like in abandoned villages, etc.
In other words, everybody becomes useful with co-created money, not just people that got capital from the previous system. That allows tremendous decentralization, because everyone is empowered.
Because if we really think about it, Bitcoin and Monero, are still extensions of the previous capital system, whereas the June (or any kind of co-created/egalitarian/human money) is something completely new.
I believe the Relative Theory of Money by Stephane Laborde, https://en.trm.creationmonetaire.info/, will be right there on top with the Bitcoin whitepaper and other great works of economics. Like the Austrian school, etc.
The G1 specifically for me is that it's the largest network right now. But I do think something new, or an evolution of it can/probably will come too. Because the G1 right now is not the easiest network to get into and that can be a risk to scaling. So if something more open starts scaling then I'll hop on it too.
We're heading for a golden age of co-created currencies, that's the next revolution :D

Yeah, I really don't see it like that. I think the decision of completely disallowing users to choose if they want or not to cap the OP_RETURN was not a good move by Core and Knots is better for allowing choice but:
This, on the other hand, is something else.
The risk argument is weak here. If and ONLY if there's a move by governments because of anything that is on the Bitcoin chain, THEN we should move there. Not now.
This is a weak move otherwise. Bitcoin doesn't need this right now.

This is such a cool and well thought out project. The reason for that in my opinion is that it uses Npubs (Nostr) for reputation management in order to allow people to automatically buy VPS with lightning/Bitcoin.
In other words, you (or your AI agent) buys a VPS under its/your npub. And that makes it easy to create some sort of Web of Trust, or at least some sort of anti-spam, filtering, to facilitate that automation. More targeted content filtering, precision, etc.
I mean, it looks like a detail but it's actually important for long term business sustainability. Once they know an npub is legit and just wants to post uncensored political/dissident like content, then it's like why not host it?
Because I assume that's the problem with uncensored hosting. It's like, do you really want to host things that are really bad. Or is it just political dissident content.
Using Npubs gives you a way to have reputation end to end, by the public and internally. i.e this Npub ONLY serves political content about a given subject, etc.
Basically using Npubs allows us to find markets with more precision, for everybody and all parts. It's pretty great stuff.

What if gold doubles to 10k or even something like 15k with the AI bubble inflows (so something like 20T to 30T USD) and then eventually it also pops because nobod has that gold also?

It's pretty wild to think about what's happening currently.
I mean the connection between Bitcoin, Lightning Network, Cashu and AI, Nostr, etc, basically open a world of functionality most people have no idea how important it is.
It seems pretty niche mostly because people are looking at/for vertical (fiat) scaling and not seeing the sovereign and decentralization vertical aspect.
This is basically tech that will make individuals more free, with more opportunities to collaborate, connect, work, etc, with the ability to live and trade anywhere.
It's just that people's attention is solely focusing on the fiat pyramid and nothing else.

This is all just macro. Nothing is related to the tech.
We're in a liquidity crisis. There's a lot of money but it's not liquid, their choices have been made and they're just holding now.
I predict the stocks will drawdown also about 20 to 30% in the next 6 months, and then printing in May onwards will accelerate the next business cycle, which is going to last 4 or 5 years.
We're basically in 2010 or something like that.

I always thought Chomsky was just another statist, socialist, etc. I was wrong.
I haven't dug deep but he seems to be just your general left libertarian (left voluntaryist). Lately I've been getting into this philosophy. A left libertarian I would say is someone that believes in more ways to define capital, not just from the old powers but something that could be created by the people today. In other words, they seem to be more open to rebuilding power structures, and thus are more open to creating something out of nothing, for poor people, etc. More innovative, creative, etc.
Left libertarian = they are okay with old capital (private property, Bitcoin, etc) AND are open to new forms of capital (why don't we use new forms of money like co-created money (G1 currency), create new voluntaryist relations in this cooperative, structure, place, land, etc)
They are voluntaryists, so they don't want to take anything by force. Otherwise they wouldn't be voluntaryists.
This is fundamental. People often think that left libertarians want to take property. This is not correct. They want to persuade people with new models. If they wanted to use the state to take property they would be socialists, statists, not libertarians/voluntaryists. They want to create better alternatives, not take power from people. This is good.

One of the most incredible things about Bitcoin is that you can use it anywhere.
You can literally travel the world forever, never worrying if the systems will take you down for whatever reason (of course you can go to jail, but still they can't really take it from you).
People don't really think about this enough. This is freedom in an authoritarian world like ours.

I guess the theory is it would allow more people to feel more comfortable in downsizing and thus more houses in the market (but I know this is flawed, it only works if boomers actually build smaller houses). And the other side to it is also subsidizing first time owners, and this kind of stuff.
I'm just throwing it out there, not my area of expertise at all. So yeah sorry about that :D

Trump's greatest victory in this mandate might just be making real estate more available to people. This by lowering interest rates, providing more supply by reducing institutional demand, providing an easier path for that capital to flow into Bitcoin, etc.
If they solve that AND healthcare, the game changes dramatically in 2028 for the Republicans.

Makes complete sense. It seems like it's going to take some time, but it certainly is very exciting to see people move from real estate to Bitcoin!
My non Bitcoiner friends simply don't understand how Bitcoin is probably the greatest thing that could've happened to the non-asset holding class. Because it monetizes well... money, again :D
A lot of people can't really imagine the kind of future we're heading to. It will definitely look like the past in a way, real jobs will be highly paid again.
I was watching a video about a "poor" family in the 60s in the US talking about how they had it, etc, and the father was the only working one, 4 kids, the wife, in total 5 people living off a single salary.
Normal big American house (big!) and they were poor for the time!
For me it's pretty clear that part of society is heading this way. Bitcoin will not only monetize money but also it'll bring the family together again!
Which seems old school for some but it's pretty necessary I think

In this case, if you don't mind the question, what would good timing mean in this case? Is it for example house prices start to go down a bit more, or the lowering of interest rates, etc?
Or perhaps it's probably more related to a set of personal tax reasons that make holding real estate not as valuable anymore in this case. That's probably more the reason I assume.
The second part is indeed probably the biggest a lot of people hold real estate too, in a way.

Absolutely. And they'll understand by comparison. In 5 years when they look at the numbers, the amount of work they had to do, etc, when they see that BTC is 500k, has grown 30% yoy, can be used as collateral instantly and everywhere AND thus understand Bitcoin can be used to actually invest on other stuff like stocks, even real estate, etc.
They'll be like, why do I have an MP3 player, when I can have a smartphone connected to the internet that has access to all the music in the world and a bunch of other useful things?
Not to count that there's going to be serious tax backslash for real estate. Trump is already working on that. This is why Eric Trump is going all in on Bitcoin. Trump's family, a family that made fortunes on real estate, is actively demonetizing real estate. They know what's up.

Yes, the new global/local banks will be multi-collateral. Bitcoin, gold, etc.
Although Bitcoin wins in the long term because it'll be much more widely accepted.
It might work at the big capital level-production, but that doesn't mean it will work for everything or everyone.
Capital networks are truly decentralizing. This is just another very large global player.

É que não é só esse cash que vai aparecer. **Nunca houve tanto cash disponível como agora mesmo.** Assim que os juros baixarem esse pessoal vai ter que escolher algo.

Sim mas isso vai demorar anos, uns 4 ou 5, é ver 2011. Agora os lobo-ovelhas vão navegar a narrativa de que o ouro/prata são a bóia salva vidas. Como exactamente é a salvação? Aqui começam a engasgar-se.
Ouro e prata. Tive um gajo a dizer-me que a prata é boa de se utilizar em mercados farmers markets. Onde? Onde no mundo é que tu vais com um bocado de prata comprar um presunto?
O mundo é absurdo, as pessoas vivem á deriva de narrativas sem sentido. Anda metade do mundo a enganar a outra metade.
Estou genuinamente desejoso de ver o Bitcoin comer isto tudo só para acabar com estes lobos e ovelhas que vivem de mentiras.

It really just occurred to me that people will need another unit of account once the USD inflates too.
I know this is a basic argument/point among Bitcoiners but it really just occured to me how fundamental Bitcoin will be. It'll be the new unit of account. Nobody will ever use gold as a unit of account.
Because, culturally, people need a unit of account.

I think there basically be soft-fork with dual signature types the Quantum addresses and the regular addresses for a long time.
And slowly people will slowly give economic preference to the new Quantum addresses. And that's it. To the point that people on older addresses start losing economic opportunity.
Nobody is forced to do anything. There will be a new alternative/upgrade, people will choose it or not.
It's really not that of a big deal. And it'a all voluntaryist.
