Let's start with the cacao from Bitcoin Beans. What a beautiful product. Raw cacao is so very Bitcoin. As much as wine, honey, maple syrup, coffee, silk... You'd find it in the old trade routes of the 16th century.
The smell and taste is intense. VERY bitter. I tasted a nib by itself as soon as I got it. IMMEDIATE REGRET! I wasn't ready. It's an acquired taste. I probably won't be putting raw nibs into my yoghurt. But that's fine because I got it for hot coco cérémonies.
I have to find the best recipe for me, but I did 15g in 250ml of hot milk with some maple syrup and the taste becomes very enjoyable. I was worried I would find it difficult to enjoy for a while when I first smelled and tasted it raw. But it won't be a problem. I first grinded the cacao into a powder before mixing with the milk and maple syrup and heating it on the stove while making sure the temperatures dosent Go Higher than 70°. I read high temperature destroy nutrients at a certain point.
I'm enjoying the experience a lot. I feel like I'm living my life at bit more from a first principle approach if that makes sense.
One last thing that might trigger some of you, the packaging is a beautiful proof of stake. The nice magnet lid boxe is proving me that Bitcoin Beans actually cares about his product and is committed to provide and distribute it on the long term.

Very cute wooden prop from Woodminer. I'm probably going to use it as a Vallet tray for keys so I stop losing them. Very nice consolation prize for a lost king of the zap. I don't feel like I lost.

Cedar samples from snorkels! He wanted me to experience the burned smell and see if I prefer it over the Palo Santo. I would say that the Palo Santo smell is a very spicy one compared to the cedar. Cedar is sweet and less intense. I like it but it's different. The smell of the Palo Santo feels like it can keep demons away. The smell of the cedar feels like a cosy evening.

Back in May 2023, when I was spiritually prepping myself to start Leathermint, I was absolutely blasted on LSD and tweeted this while walking back and forth in the sun.

Imma be honest I was mid work yesterday and didn't want to break my flow but forgot to answer.
I have a lot of scraps I do nothing with. Good pieces too not just junk. I think a lot of that scrap is waiting for someone worthy. I want to giveaway leathercraft kits eventually and I would send some scrap too.
I don't consider them worthless tho so I don't want to just give them all away too someone who I aren't confident will create value with them.
But I'm open you know. Show me what you do with recycled fabric.

I made one to test a new size and construction before doing it on the alligator. I like the size. A lot less tall. New construction make it a bit less thick. Only 4 card slot.

It's actually more the unburn wood smell that annoys me. As soon as I opened the bag it was in I knew I probably wouldn't use it for long. So I didn't get used to it. Not even after a couple days of having it around. It's not that it *stink* but I smell it sharp and it annoys me.
I only burned it once (multiple times within the hour) tho so I'll probably give it an other try later.

It's nice to have a workflow but you first need some thing worthy to work on. I feel like claw people are obsessed with building systems but no real idea to build from that system. There's a fork but no meat. Fork is a good tool tho and will be useful when there's meat on the table. But for now I'll eat with my hands and vibe code the same way.

That's why being a Bitcoin *producer* is great. By getting as close as possible to the beginning of the supply chain, you eliminate as need for fiat supplier as possible.
I do a lot of Bitcoin to fiat conversion. I buy a lot of fiat. This is an expense on my side. It isn't cheap to buy fiat. Even when I do pay a supplier with Bitcoin by using BullBitcoin service like I do with a tannery, I still consider it buying fiat to pay.
We can't have a pure Bitcoin supply chain until we've captured some raw material producers. I'm an ideological romantic too and I want a pure Bitcoin supply chain.
No rush tho. Let's all do what we can now. Everything will fall into place over a few decades.

I'm thinking about doing a king of the zap on these 2 to fund a part of my next project.
The book is an old one from the production back in August for the first epoch with the Saif House. You can see in the picture that the ribbon bookmark is on top. That's because I made the terrible mistake of casing the text block in backwards. When you open the book it's backwards.
The wallet is the most expensive I've ever made with a combination of alligator and swift white calfskin inside.
But before I do it I'm wondering if there's not someone willing to do a "buy it now" offer.

Same goes for processed light. I still use LEDs. It's possible to both know something isn't great for you and use it anyway after making the cost benefit analysis.
Highly processed food can be very good or quick to make. Someone I just want quick and good food. Was it healthy? Probably not. Was it worth it? Maybe.

But if Bitcoin is money, why would I not want to spend it? Bitcoin is the liquid capital. You don't think Bitcoin would be the most liquid asset in a Bitcoin world? I think you understand my point but I don't understand why you think someone would seek something more liquid than Bitcoin.
I think you are the one seeing viewing credit through a fiat lense. Credit IS meant to access capital you don't have and this will always imply risks and trust.
I don't see the point of this service in a world where Bitcoin is the most liquid asset on Earth and has absolutely no other utility than to be spent because it's money.

I think in an hyperbitcoinized world there would be *zero* need for it. The only use it has right now is to leverage long a Bitcoin trade. This is why people want this financial tool. It's to spend without feeling like they are missing out on NGU.

This isn't what credit "should" have been. What credit should have been is not something that is bound to disappear.
Maybe I'm missing something, but i don't see why someone, in an hyperbitcoinized world, would put 1 Bitcoin as collateral to receive 0.5 Bitcoin.
