Thanks, Tim. The weather was ideal, a slight breeze blowing through the trees most of the time. I’m convinced that there must be a correlation between the heart lifting and legs wanting to keep going. It was difficult when I at last turned back, and that was miles later.

No one. Family has no interest, & I don’t have beta readers.
I spent years seeking beta readers, but no one was willing to sample my work. So, I gave up. I tried critique partners, but chose them poorly. I ended that, too.
Instead, I initiated a lengthy rotation, making me a reader. Lengthy, meaning letting stories sit for a year or so. For instance, I’m doing the novel scan on Book-5. I’ll publish it in autumn 2026.

66-years ago today, I was born & wasn’t expected to survive the day.
15-years ago today, I was in the ICU fighting for my life. Months later, they recommended hospice.
Never give up. There’s no telling what life is waiting for you to do, or what someone else will need you to do.
I’m leaving on an adventure soon…

About 50F/10C, slight breeze, sunny. I topped a ridge & witnessed a snowstorm on Lolo Peak.

Yeah! They were talking about money, but all I heard was that I should be ashamed of who I am. THAT did not sit well (they were also all women).
Worse, that would've flown in the face of what the books are about AND my last name. Great Uncle Nathaniel was a feminist in his day.
