I want to learn to live a #primitive #pioneer lifestyle.
I grew up in abject poverty. We had no #electricity nor running water during my #childhood.
We had major #foodInsecurity. Yet, there were a few glimpses of happiness, amid the #violence and the #poverty.
I hustled and was quite #entrepreneurial throughout.
Today, my "convenient" #American life is being disturbed.
Not only by the fact that our family neighborhood has been turned into a state-enabled hub for #WelfareQueens harboring criminals, dealers, thugs that the state protects. (How could they not?); but also by the fact that, as the only homeowners, any property maintenance on the roof over our head falls on us. Today, well, the husband has been needing to play electrician.
As an ex-government agent, I can remind you all that the #state is not here to resolve any problems.
It's here to pretend to resolve problems, but they really need those problems to continue.
They, in fact, need those problems to proliferate.
You have to think of how a #corporation runs.
In order to continue getting the continued capital they need, they must show #profits to bolster the confidence of #investors.
Corporations (depending on their line of business) are charged with the obligation of growth. (I too worked in the corporate world, I too partnered in a corporation).
As tired as I am at the moment, I can't rack my brain to find examples of successful no-growth corporations.
I'm not trying to shit on businesses, I'm all for entrepreneurship. However, this characteristic of the current socioeconomic system we live in continues to prove time and time again the failures of its own sustainability. We're not talking about "green" measures here, just plain survivability.
#Entropy moves into just about anything, but can we agree that it moves into some systems faster and with more impact than in others?
Just like in corporatism, government needs to be the cancer, the parasite that must grow and grow eating of its host.
So, why resolve problems, when such problems are the ones that keep you funded?
Why fix anything for anyone when the #FED can simply fund you and enrich you for your continuously "REQUIRED SERVICES"?
Same as with a corporation which looks to solve a need or it identifies a gap to try and supply that need or cover that gap; the need and the gap themselves become the reason of such corporations/government agencies to EXIST.
No need, no demand. No need, no supply.
Where does the desire to learn a pioneer/primitive lifestyle fit into this?
#Sovereignty.
#Statism and #Corporatism have #Dependence in common. Hence the reason why #Totalitarianism & #Monopolism seem to always be their "most successful" stages, their ultimate ways to have reached the so sought-after "cornering of the market".
I am naive, I'm sure, even at my old age.
But isn't due to the failures of #statism and #corporatism that #Bitcoin had to be given birth to?
Dependence.

You have no clue how long it's taken me to text this from my phone with half a bar...

I honestly believe that #btc and #nostr rekindled a fire in me. One to try to be as self-reliant as possible.
A corporation and a government may not like that in us. They need us to be dependent and reliant on their product / service, hence the large number ways they impose on all of us to control us.
Am I all for #FreeMarkets? I am. The question is, who is defining #FreeMarket for who.
I am naive because I sometimes forget how sick I am and how poorly I can get.
But in my moments of my perceived #lucidity I DO see myself thriving in my #imagination. I have to think it to be it.
I see myself conserving as much energy, being frugal about my resources, my utilization of goods, services; and wasting as little as possible.
Directing my energy where it matters: run my node, produce power to mine? Who knows.
Trying to get healthier so I can learn more, share what I learn, grow real relationships/circular economies... Frugally giving my hard made/hard earned sats in a voluntary and wilful exchange for as hardly made/produce goods/services.
BTC makes the peer to peer transaction that much more FAIR. It reduces friction and minimizes the animosity in negotiation.
#Bitcoin is #Decentralized, #OpenSource and #Verifiable.
Have you known of any billion+ valued corporation and government that is as decentralized, open-source and transparent as #Bitcoin?

I pose a couple of questions:
How will Bitcoin #Plebs & #nostriches #thrive if the system followed & very deeply programmed into us is one that completely enables & supports a #FIAT mindset and behaviors??
How do you see a return to some primitive/pioneer lifestyles, in as many aspects of your routine as possible, enabling the bringing forth of the replacement of the FIAT system by a supercharged #BitcoinStandard?

My health hasn't improved, and the added stress isn't helping. However, I am eating as healthy as I can and fast whenever my emotions aren't running me ragged.
This current crisis we're going through requires mental clarity and acuity which both my husband and I are lacking due to the constant state of shock and the multiple well-intended opinions of those wanting to help, but also not quite knowing how.
I am in constant state of prayer and panic.
It's a very bad mental state to be.
The husband and I are having to figure out a lot of things which are very difficult under normal circumstances just from the physical and emotional toll our routines have us under.
But we now have to try figure those life changing decisions in very small windows, with no clarity, and under the constant threat of those people lording their criminal behaviors over us.
That's the picture.
I am having to type this long one cause if I press enter, Rose the bot will ban me.
But, I want you to understand this:
I am definite and constant "shill" for #bitcoin.
Even in these circumstances....

Because of these circumstances.
These time and crisis we're going through right now is teaching us, THE EXTREMELY HARD WAY, that the only safe and secure anything in this realm is Bitcoin.
I had been a firm believer of this from before we were even able to learn how to buy sats.
But when you live through this, it is absolutely palpable and real.
My sats are safely lost in my kayaking accident. No one can retrieve them from the bottom of the pond!!!
What scares me, a bit, ok... more than a bit sometimes, and it is another factor that keeps me up at night...
Is that my artwork almost seems "prophetic".
I have not been able to complete my last piece. I have not been able to even go back to work on my series of hand-designed, cnc-drawn, hand-painted greetings...
I basically have not been doing ANY artwork in months.
My brain keeps going to the images in my brain that keep plaguing me.
I keep seeing myself in my artwork, and it is quite scary!!
if you are familiar at all with my work on my Bitcoin illustrations, believe me... I am terrified by them,
They are an incomplete story, since I haven't finished the series, of the war between good and evil: Bitcoin vs Fiat.
I am, honestly, afraid of how I feel I am that limp carcass of a woman in Death by Fiat.
How I am that fearful Lady Liberty, in Mauled by Wall Street, trying to fend off the jackals. How I am with a gaping mouth, force-fed those damned blue pills in Fed by the FED... How I am absolutely terrified, trying to scape, tied in a straight jacket in Locked-down by Clown World.
I can't even tell you what is happening to me in my incomplete piece!!!!
I don't want to be living in a self-fulfilling prophecy.
My illustrations are meant as a warning to those who keep "fucking around and finding out..."
They're meant to be the WHY Bitcoin. Why is it IMPERATIVE for us to literally act as the disciples did after Jesus resurrected and told them to "GO.....!!!" I mean, he would have beaten the shit out of his apostles to get them to spread the good news....
Maybe that's what is happening to the hubs and I?

I'm in major brain fog due to an extremely difficult, extended term crisis we're going through.
My husband and I have been threatened by meth neighbors. We can't just leave because we own our home and it also houses my husband's metal shop.
The cops won't do anything, and we can't get restraining orders because we only know the one name of our one neighbor.
So much has now fallen of my stove's burners.
Major life or death decisions being made hour to hour.

What a journey.
I can only hope and pray your lady is still feeling the love and life energy around her of the children who blessed her & her body with their presence, however long that was.
I believe miscarriages are not seen by many people as what they are.
A lot of folk downplay them or think them ...uh less painful than they actually are.
I have no clue.
My loss? I suffered too much damage during my formative years, it rendered me infertile. I raised my 2 beautiful stepchildren as my own. I am a grandma of one now.
But don't kid yourself.
Their bio mom re-appeared in their lives and my children are good children so they welcomed her with open arms and have a relationship with her that makes my blood boil sometimes.
So I do mourn sometimes. Thankfully not a whole lot.
But as I age and inch closer to menopause, believe me... the pain is real.

I'm literally at a crossroads today. I just resigned my job. I start another one the week after next; while I've interviewed for the "dream job," & I wait to see what happens.
I'm overwhelmed w/the bureaucracy I have to navigate to sign up for healthcare thru the so-called ACA. These circumstances forced me to pause my work with my #artwork & #greetingcard series. I do intend to get back to it because the only medicine proven to save my sanity & keep me alive is #bitcoin & #nostr #art. I love #drawing, #coloring, #making things by hand. I immensely enjoy feeling materials, touching, seeing progress from start to finish. I'm so very happy you like my work. I'm still elated from that. Speaking from experience, I have never chosen violence.
Violent assholes do the choosing when they prey on those of us who they know won't be able to hurt them enough when and if they fight back.
There are violence conducive words, but that's already part of the vocabulary. I believe "threats" defines those.
I feel like we've grown dividing ourselves even more nowadays. In general. Folks are not discussing, disagreeing, debating, attempting to prove points amicably anymore. They are all out war behind the keystrokes, othering each other very quickly by throwing labels and calling names.
This seems to be the tactic of those whose only winning strategy is to label themselves a victim immediately and pointing the finger at the other side, naming them a perpetrator because this "perpetrator" made them uncomfortable when demonstrating or proving the validity of their argument.
To someone like me, who by any set standards shouldn't be alive today, who lived and endured violence of the worse kind; this type of behaviour hurts victims like no other.
It tells you, people like this, either never heard of the story of "The Boy Who Cried Wolf," or did hear it... and they're purposely wearing others down so they can facilitate the wolf's work, helping the wolf by distracting and fomenting apathy in everyone, to keep them from stopping the wolf from slaughtering our lambs.
For the many of us choosing rhetoric, I guess we gotta find ourselves a set of strategies to be able to shield ourselves from being labeled as perpetrators when we're obviously not. We'll have to pick our battles, who we engage with... Learn to foresee (if possible at all) how productive the engagement will be, what is its merit. Because I do believe we can't give rhetoric and discussion up. They're a major part of communication and pillars of the free exchange and expression of ideas.
I sure hope that we don't only get the opportunities to be able to learn, organize and strategize our thoughts and words to improve our winning chances, as we're literally trying to save lives with many of the points we discuss. But I also hope we get to have and keep the platforms that encourage the open and free human behavior of communication and freedom of speech.

lo que si nunca me ha parecido es que los crían para hacerles la nariz así de chata y los ojos así de saltados.
La perrita de mi hija tiene siempre muchos problemas y las facturas de los veterinarios le cuestan a ella mucho más que la mensualidad del carro...
Y dizque la obtuvo de un lugar con muy buena reputación....
Ye tengo años de no tener mascota porque me encariño demasiado y termino gastando tanto con veterinarios...

my take?
if you have a loved one who would enjoy a day outdoors doing some schmoozing of Karens, you might still b able to practice at some places.
I was telling my hubs, we should get a full "attire" thing, like a vest, hard cap, dangling with lanyard and all "name tags," a triangle sign like "men at work" but whatever sounds official...
have the both wear the vest and have a hand out to give to any Karen that shows up.
The hand should include a true , real, regulation they could google where it says that YES you can fly, part of that handout should include "please, for everyone's safety, do not disturb professional pilot..."
Do not include ID on it, and, in fact, find a way to word things like: "I am not at liberty to disclose who is employing me for these services, as that constitutes a violation of my contract, thank you..."
I mean, why not?
We wouldn't be impersonating law enforcement or anything like that...

Truth is, those same people who'd think you're spying on, would be the same folks who wouldn't mind saving several thousands of dollars by having a drone inspector inspect their roofs.
Where/how do they think roof inspectors would get their training!!!???
The other bad part of you wanting to film a place where it is publicly known to be banned is, if you upload any footage or images, they'll come after ya after the fact.
There was a guy in either Philly or Jersey who got a $180,000 fine from the FAA.
He used to have a YouTube channel.
He was flying in the city, not being careless, but yes, in areas "not allowed."
Didn't hurt anyone, nor did he risk ever hurting anyone, but it still was not allowed, so bam... 180,000 grand.
Filming where banned... if you don't get a Karen, you'll get a bored fed... w/nothing to do but just scoured the internet for anything that teases his hunger for putting his boot on someone else's neck.

it took me along a long time to save enough to buy my hubby a drone, only to find out he can't fly it, even when he has his part 107 cuz they're not allowed in most places.
It really is horribly bothersome because he is a very responsible flyer. I used to love flying rc planes and racing rc cars with him and my son, now?
they have opressed the hobby so much... it's a terrible thing to be a child now where your only toy can be a cell phone or an ipad... forget learning how to build, model, fix, save, be responsible with anything that is truly RC and takes for the skies....

I did just have to mute some jackass that was replying to my notes with extremely explicit pornographic images.
I for sure don't like that.
I hope the mute function stays and it is something available across any nostr client I get to use.
It sure makes me sad that one of us would feel they had to leave because they felt harassed.
I hate the feeling of letting them win.

We really need our very own version of their Ministry of Truth.
Propagate, uh... this shall be innovative... THE TRUTH... Give a tasty flavor/take as if it was a lie. Why?
Because it appears we live in the middle of a massive herd of brainwashed brothers and sisters who have either been oppressed for so long, or programmed so deeply, they may only dream about wanting and desiring the TRUTH if such was packaged to them as flavorfully as lies.
Not defending anyone. Just stating a reality of many.
Some do know that truth might set them free. What is terrifying about that concept is that they do not know what freedom may be like and thus be terrified what it could mean to live a life where compliance is not the default.
As depressed as so many are living in their compliant lives , many are just absolutely cringing at having to make decisions of their own.
Whether it is due to the exhaustion from being oppressed and depressed, or from having a portion of their lives where they do enjoy of some security, I shall not know. But many dread the truth, freedom , and change.
We may need to figure out , not to adapt ourselves, but how to be true examples of lives being lived in ways that are infectious and that make folk say "I want my life to be like that."
I am not there yet. Not for lack of trying.
But I think that may help somehow.
Fighting exerts attention and energy diverted to that which we are against. If you have plenty of that, I will be so ever grateful for everyone who can. I really don't know what to do.
But I will try however I can, as much as I can to exert my attention and energy focused towards that which we want to achieve.
I hope I made sense.
