Love being in actions and not words will depend!
Are you familiar with Gary Chapman’s book “The 5 Love Languages”?
If not, I’m certain there are summaries or blog articles written about it.
You see, “words of affirmation” is one of the love languages.
We all have a primary and secondary love language…some of us more needy ones have all five LOL
But what happens is people don’t understand that the way another perceives being loved may be totally different from their own.
So understanding how you and he “love one another” best (feel being loved) is key.

Decent wake up time this morning; all things considered…
The plan for today is to finish any last minute hurricane prep,
help any neighbors that need prepping (have a couple elderly/disabled within a house or two of us),
then send out some proposals.
Wife is already out InstaCarting to help those not able to leave their home to buy basic supplies.
Not going to lie, even though we most likely won’t get the brunt of the hurricane, it’s still stressful with the added financial outlay and time away from serving clients to ensure we are prepared in case it shifts towards us.
As of now we will be on Eastern side of it which tends to have the most wind damage and probability of tornado activity.

Usually yes becasue there are often creditors higher up in the food chain so to speak that have higher priority to be repaid from any funds that can be generated / retrieved.
I do not know in this specific case where the end user customer investor reside compared to any other creditors

Also this assumes only contract law is considered (which most law suits are under that basis)
What about common law or equitable law? Does flying a drone over my house, especially if one is lower it to peer into my home or back yard where there is a reasonable expectation of privacy…is that not common or equitable? 🤷‍♂️

I applied for a project today and it didn’t post a salary; instead it ask what I expected the salary to be…
That is the worst way to handle it becasue it typically shows:
1. The business doesn’t know the value the role they are hiring for is expected to create
2. They want to low ball you
3. They want to disqualify you based upon if your expectation of compensation is “too high” in their eyes.

For example I know primal app has a relay (not even sure it can be removed) and that is where most the spam resides still for me.
Similarly i have relay I removed a week ago across all my clients, but still get spam from it (which seems odd since theoretically I am not communicating with it)

But I’m not impressed with 0xChat.
Anytime I message via it, people on the other end usually aren’t able to see the message and therefore the conversation is truncated.
Damus (iOS) and Primal have given me the most reliable conversations thus far.
I keep hearing about SimpleX (I think that’s what it is called) I might give that a try.
But for now, conversations are too important to me to not have a reliable client to facilitate them

Saxophone, specifically Bari Sax, Bass Clarinet, and Flute.
I played a lot of big band jazz, some combo stuff but prefer big band.
Performed like 70% jazz with the other 30% being a mix of
theatre (traditional like Phantom, Le Mis, Brigadoon; and the modern show style),

I don’t play anymore however working on starting a publishing company with a buddy of mine who has recently sold a large quantity of piano music. So I might be getting back into the comp and arranging aspect.
I didn’t intend to quit when I moved to Florida from Vegas…I really just wanted a pause, a breathe so to speak.
But…
1. Music scene in Florida is very much Disney (extremely regimented), Miami (I don’t live near there), Cruise Ships (having never been on a ship before the idea of 6 months at sea in a regimented environment when I was coming from a place where I had a lot of freedom and control in what I played…didn’t excite me)
2. Life…meet a girl, sell the boat, sell the truck, buy a minivan, have a kid 🙃💍 LOL
I’d rather spend my time with them than playing music by myself so to speak.

I grew up in a strong Christian household and there were times I was burnt out on “church” becasue we were there so frequently.
Which is to say we attended an exegetical Bible studying church.
And it really wasn’t until the last few years that I’ve learned how man has tried to control the people through the Bible and “religion” in general (albeit per some convos I’ve had on Nostr with others, I don’t believe being a “Christian” is about religion, rather a relationship!)
But yea…actually desiring to study God’s Word, even when I grew up with it, is another level deeper of my relationship with Him through Jesus.
Over the last couple years I read three books that really set this desire in me:
1. Beautiful Outlaw - John Eldridge (profile of Jesus)
2. Wild Goose Chase - Mark Batterson (profile of Holy Spirit)
3. Unseen Realm - Dr. Michael Heiser (profile of God through lens of ancient Hebrew culture)
[still working my way through #3 as it’s deep]
But those three books allowed me to see my relationship with our triune God in a new light.

I’ve seen several people recommend a WOT solution and now you indicating it’s best to build your own since I would be at the center.

What do you mean by “requiring the permission of others to use their client”
Which client are you referring to?

That aside, trusting a person (Elon in your example) vs trusting a client (I assume you something like Damus or Primal)
Those are completely different for a few reasons
A. One is a person, the other is a piece of software (albeit written by “people”)
B. Nostr is a protocol much like http or pop3…the clients are just the UI to make accessing the protocol more user friendly
C. You (ie anyone) can make a client for Nostr…so you not trust yourself?
D. Using the logic you’ve laid forth, Bitcoin also would not be considered sovereign because it requires nodes to be in operation to progress the chain of blocks …much like Nostr requires relays
(and yes I’m aware that someone has solved a block or hash or something like that on a piece of paper…that’s an Outlier scenario)

(I do not recall if I already mentioned this to you but I’m bouncing between YakiHonne (about to ditch that as it’s the least accurate and too many UI leading to UX issues), Damus, and Primal.
For example this reply came on Primal but not Damus…
If I can get my lightning node (and thus wallet solved) on Damus, theoretically I could go 100% there and only access Primal for double checking I didn’t miss anything and looking up npub and note IDs to paste into Damus

Many states in the USA offer “scholarships” to students with disabilities (could be as minor as dyslexia for example)
And/or “school choice” / “homeschool” funding.
For example our son has a “unique abilities” scholarship and we homeschool which gives us $X per year to spend on educational items…board games are considered educational.
So you might design a campaign reaching out to those parents in each state, informing them of your product

Respectfully, Biblically this is not accurate.
This thread isn’t really the place to debate the topic.
Since one verse was referenced incorrectly (John 14:6 does not state that God existed before Jesus. )
John 14:6 is Jesus speaking “Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
That verse being cleared up; John actually begins his book with 1:1 which states “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
Theologians around the world agree that the term “The Word” in English (Logos in Greek which was the language John wrote and spoke in) is a reference to Jesus, drawing upon and connecting to the Genesis account.

I will say the first few I glanced over were not Biblically based per se. (Again I haven’t read through all the replies)
Based upon the initials ones I saw; this may be a topic you want to discuss in DM’s or I’d even be happy to hop on a Zoom with you to discuss and answer questions you have.
For context, I’ve had a personal relation with God through Jesus for ~35 years and I’ve led Bible studies / small groups in my community and church.
The offer being extended aside, the short answer to the question “how does one have a personal relationship with Jesus” is as simple as ABC…
A: Admit you are a sinner (we all are! We have all fallen short of the Glory of God due to our sin nature)
B. Believe Jesus is the Son of God and that He died on the cross for you as the ultimate and final atonement for your sins (past, present, and future). Your debt has been paid in full!
C. Confess before others that Jesus is your Lord and Savior and through Him you now have eternal life with God the Father.
(I’ll add D)
D. Depend on His Holy Spirit to draw you closer to Jesus and God, day by day, moment by moment. Build that friendship with God. Ultimately God created humans to rule the Earth for Him. We screwed that up. But it doesn’t change the fact that God wants us as a part of His family.

I’m not really into “nano” stuff per se other than I love innovation and technology in general and so it fits neatly into that bucket of interest.
On one hand it’s fascinating, on the other concerning.
It has amazing human help potential, and even enjoyment aspects (such as electrified paint on cars, ie the prototype BMW recently displayed at a car show).
Yet there are two sides to everything. (Three actually but that’s another conversation LOL)
Proverbially speaking, something can be used for good or bad.
So like with Bitcoin we need more good actors than bad…
Same for any technology, nano or otherwise.
Technology is never the cause of greatness, purely an accelerator thereof.
Hence it’s really a magnifier. Just like money. Money magnifies…so does technology.
If there is good it will magnify that.
If there is bad it will magnify that.
The goal is to keep the good in front of the bad…

Yep. Men in general have been so demasculated over the last few decades that it’s hard to spot one in the wild.
Which leads me to: a lot of men choose to isolate. They don’t recognize it as such at first, but that’s what it leads to.
It happened to me after a family crisis. I carried the burden and dealt with everyone’s trauma except my own…then I realized I had isolated myself and that was unhealthy.
As a dad, one of our core responsibilities is to raise (not boys) but God serving men.
(If one is a girl dad; your role is to demonstrate for years how a lady is to be treated so that it will be easy for her to spot a God serving man in the wild)

As a family we are very much into strategy games.
They tend to be card based (but not deck builders).
Some of them like Skyjo are just fun and while there is the illusion of strategy, it’s just randomness. That is a nice palette cleanser type of game.
Then there are some trick taking card games like the ones from Grandpa Beck’s (Skull King, Cover Your Assets)
Sushi Go is another one we like.
We do play Ticket to Ride but we all know the optimal strategy for it so it just becomes a race to the finish…
That’s why I think we like Splendor so much…the goal is the same and the pathways are the same to reach the goal, but it’s very dynamic strategy wise so it’s constantly evolving during game play

So DM’s for one… Primal and Damus seem to be the most accurate but when I tried 0xChat and YakiHonne DM’s started not relaying (Primal and Damus were missing messages)
Across Primal, Damus, and YakiHonne not all note and reply notifications are consistent and zaps notifications either.
Lastly sometimes if I want to tag someone they pull up in one app but not another…
So I’m having to bounce between 3 apps to “catch it all”

Other than that it is UX issues and the benefit of having 2 apps to easily grab a note id or npub to copy paste into a note or reply I’m drafting on the first app…
But I’d love for the fragmentation to go away. That’s my biggest frustration (hurdle) at this point

I appreciate that.
Also you connected a dot for me that it’s the relays which do the heavy lifting.
Therefore, the only reason I can think of that different apps would display different data (ie npub, notes, DM’s, zap records…)
Is because a particular node doesn’t support a particular NIP? (Although the ones I just mentioned seem basic)
If all (3 of) my apps have the same relays…why is my experience fragmented?

Short answer “no” becasue muse dyslexia is a “brain condition”…now there is a lot more nuance to it than that.
For example eyesight plays a role vs Phonocological or Rapid Naming or Surface or Double Deficit…there are a few others.
Each of them has a potential different treatment / workaround (reprogramming the brain) to mitigate the manifestation of dyslexia.
Thus, while one may have a less pronounced manifestation of dystexia in one language vs another, culture isn’t the issue…the brain is
