Si j'ai des UTXO de 0.1, ce ne sera pas spécialement exactement le prix de quelque chose que j'achèterai, donc je risque de me retrouver avec des plus petites (change), qui ne sont pas spécialement du dust (ou je ne sais pas à partir de quelle somme ça l'est considéré) mais qui pourraient effectivement se rapprocher du cas où les frais sont trop élevés pour les bouger, re-consolider et/ou passer vers lightning, non?
ça donne une impression d'un problème sans fin.

Merci! Il y a toutefois un point toujours obscur pour moi et que je n'ai jamais vu abordé. C'est bien beau de
gérer ses utxo, de consolider etc.. mais ultimement, tu vas sans doute
un jour les dépenser et potentiellement te retrouver avec du change
indépensable, non?

So funny when you're a bitcoiner but I believe most ppl will still fall for the fallacy.
Fascinating how they'll most probably straight think about the price being not "safe" and the environmental fud because that's all they're heard about, rather than drawing the parallel with their money being at the mercy of central bankers and others political decisions.
Words and narratives are so powerful, as ultimately they're the most "real", the most emotive thing we live in and that touch us.

Oui c'est pas toujours simple nostr et ça fonctionne pas toujours très bien non plus malheureusement. Je me rends compte que c'est vraiment très très early et en réalité, pas encore prêt pour l'adoption en masse. Mais comme on peut le voir, chaque nouvelle ânerie des gros RS provoque une nouvelle vague d'arrivants.
J'ai testé des tas d'alternative mais il n'y a vraiment qu'ici où on peut sentir que le potentiel est juste énorme.

Fais-toi une addresse Lightning pour pouvoir accepter les zaps. Idéalement avec https://getalby.com/ pour se logger avec et augmenter la sécurité: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qn-Zp491t4Y
Tu peux y insérer ta clé privée si tu l'as déjà, plutôt que d'en générer une autre. Faut un peu chipoter mais à force on finit par être à l'aise.
Vérifie/lie ton compte twitter si tu veux avec https://nostr.directory/
Teste différents clients sur desktop browsers and apps.
Interragis avec les autres utilisateurs. Zappe le contenu que tu aimes.

I'm also not mentioning the recent FUD with Amethyst, the key management, backups and other issues I'm forgetting here.
Plus there are apparently other "competitors" like Zion (I know it's not exactly a competitor. I gather that we're slowly entering in a new era or sovereign possibilities and that's great for enthusiasts but not for adoption. Or am I wrong. I just feel a little overwhelmed.
To go back to nostr, it seems increasingly clear that it is just NOT READY for mass adoption. Everyone I have onboarded never went further than setting it up and posting more than 2 notes...
Please, prove me wrong -)

I'm having a terrible experience on nostr lately. Especially when it comes to get a fluid feed. But it is also so different from one browser to the other and of course between clients. Mostly the search function doesn't work at all on snort, so I usually try it on iris where it works better, but then it's the followers or the huge part of the feed that is missing.
I still don't really get the way to setup the best relays. I looked at nostr.watch and took those which have the best uptime but it doesn't look like it does anything, if not making it worse.
Not even speaking how the messages disappear or just show <error> after a while ...
I'm not using a paid relay yet. For a while it worked ok, it's just the last weeks where it became quite terrible.
Another thing is that the engagement seem totally on a downside. I might not post interesting things but yeah ... barely any reactions lately.

Wouldn't they make real research and engage with bitcoiners while not accepting bribes from notorious pump & dump if that were the case? Even if they didn't realize what's Ripple, so far their attitude gives a rather disingenuous feeling and they keep doubling down.
And I agree with your latest paragraph. Though again, a bit more will from "environmentalists" (and I'm one) to understand something they don't wouldn't hurt.
