The desire for patriarchal safety, provision, security, and authority cannot be satisfied in any civil government. These are domains that only rightly belong to the natural family unit and patriarch as he images God as father. Today I became a full independent registrant member without restrictions with my provincial psychotherapy regulatory college.
I am relieved, but not without conflict.
Real-world regulatory colleges do not accomplish their intended mandates or come close to their ideals. In my observation, they are often just another example of a way-too-big over-extending government into all aspects of life. Freedom is sacrificed on the altar of safety.

Idea:
1. screen participants for prior knowledge of Bitcoin. Factor out those that self-rate as already knowledgable, or decided about Bitcoin. Invite the uninitiated to participate in study
2. Administer personality inventory and demographic survey to these uninitiated participants.
3. Introduce solid and concise Bitcoin 101 material to these uninitiated/undecided participants
4. Ask participants their interest to explore, buy, or demonstrate openness to Bitcoin
5. Study these scores compared to their willingness to demographic or personality inventory data points such as trait openness, income level, agreeableness, value of freedom, etc.
In so doing you should find out who and how and why people 'get' Bitcoin right now, or don't.

What you think and what you believe must be distinguished. Even in this moment. To fail to do so is termed cognitive fusion - reducing self-concept and awareness to only what your broken and highly suggestible thinker thinks.
The truth is, sometimes thoughts mislead us. You can't entirely rest your trust on them. They take us away from what's true or what matters, and lead us only to immediate gratification and away from pain.
We think from our of our varying states (hungry, irritable, sad, anxious, despondent).
Beliefs, goals, and values are truer, and not as momentary and suggestible as thoughts. They are based on higher more pure and unreachable things that are less given to momentary destabilization. They are firmer to base your speech and actions upon.
Be present, open up, and do what matters.

In the link, the 'Dropping anchor' exercises are for grounding during a difficult moment, while '#Mindfulness of the hand' or 'Hexaflexercise' may be good general introductions to ACT-infused mindfulndss.
The principles and approach you learn by practicing with any guided recordings can and should be later implemented outside of that moment. This is a skill to be learned. Like any other, it will not be easy at first, and you will become distracted or disturbed by what you observe. This skill's value is found when the fundamentals of psychological mindfulness are brought to bear on your ordinary day, perhaps even without your noticing.

It's multifactorial. There are plenteous government and establishment media psyops interested in taking way focus on future, freedom, and progeny. You are being deluded into believing that children are thieves of joy, when in fact the opposite is true. Our ancestors knew better.
Then there's the fact that reproduction and family-raising right require tremendous moral compass, power, and self-controlled committed action. This is far more available and thus more common among religious conservatives. Psy-op'd people are more inclined to think instant gratification and absence of pain is the way to happiness. That's animal-like.
For the modern person it's safer in many ways to decline to take a risk unless an individual and their monogomous partner (husband/wife) can be trusted to keep their word and faithfulness through thick and thin - a trait that's in high demand and low availability today. Who can find a noble woman/man worthy of this commitment and investment, to carry and bear their children?

I got zapped by @npub1jg5…6n8n. A part of me is geeking out. Another part of me gets it.
When you think of it, corporate zaps for plebs are an excellent marketing and customer engagement strategy. Loyalty, value, and brand or cause-positive speech can be instantly rewarded.
Bitcoiners are irrationally excited about zaps. I get it, it's awesome. It's also notable that the monetary cost is nil. We are getting excited instead about adoption and novelty. In my own example, blockstream has reinforced my positive attribution of the brand, and made me more likely to consume or purchase their products. Well done!
This is extrinsic positive reinforcement. Zaps modify human behaviour through immediate reward. This is a good thing and is a great example of rudimentary behavioural psychology at work.

Bitcoin's fundamentals enable us not to fixate on money.
Without it, we're trading our time with the state with diminishing returns for a unit of value they can print out of thin air. The funny thing is, Bitcoin is such a revolutionary fix that it's worth quite a lot of devotion to discussion, propogation, and thought! So here we are thinking about money again.

I tried maintaining my own lightning node and found it onerous, and did make me appreciate how easy centralized services make it look.
I have frequent seasonal power outaged and in consequence my channel partners punished me with unilateral closures. This experience, the fees, the necessary knowledge, and maintenance involved made me hope for an improved layer 2 to see instant cheap and anonymous payments become easier to truly self-custody and operate.
As a result lf this experience I learned to appreciate again Bitcoin's base layer.

Something I was totally unequipped for before becoming happily married: understanding the natural differences of men and women in libido.
For women, libido so much depends on hormonal cycles, and she becomes most sexually interested during the times she is most fertile.
Man, on the other hand, is far more "ready" and consistent. In and out of season, he is open to his wife. Therefore, men must learn to live in natural respect and patience with this difference and not take it personally. Women are beautiful creatures and God's gift to man - the perfect companion. Practice self-control and live with your wife in an understanding way.

Therapists that insert themselves into the social network of their clients as cheerleader-for-hire are cruel and sadistic manipulators. They may not realize it, but they parasitize upon the weak and hate rather than love their clients. This method of care doesn't result in patient independence, it creates an expensive addiction not much better than a chemical one.
People stuck in struggle don't need more shallow affirmations to accept dysfunctional aspects of their lives: they need freedom from bondage. They came to these therapists looking for an expert to bring change to what needs fixing.
Think: We need both the love of a mother and the love of a father. We need a mother's doting and tender counter-conditional love, but we also need the push of expectations and behaviour modelling - both positive and negative discipline to prosper as a person in the world. Any one of these alone is not enough.
We all know too many sons and daughters that live their lives short of their own high potential because of too much of this pseudo-mothering "therapy". Enough is enough. Delusion affirmation is not sufficient psychological treatment.

AFAIK Whirlpool helps to lose trace of the coins through obfuscating the transaction trail. It doesn't change the reported amount of Bitcoin bought from a regulated exchange, but it at least doesn't make it easy to find out what wallet those coins eventually ended up in.
