If anyone's wondering, absentmindedly bashing one's knee at speed into the corner of a brick structure generates a reasonable amount of pain. Bruising is likely to show up by morning. So I'd recommend not doing this.

A day of experimental cookery looms like a big looming thing as I feel myself losing faith in the recipe I've concocted in my mind. I usually push through and find that I'm right to do so, but the last couple of times it hasn't been great... In fact, one of those times it was bloody appalling. Let's see if the spirit of adventure persists until lunchtime. If it doesn't there's edible things in the freezer.

I have this day been blessed with two postal vote application forms from the blue team, and two more from the red team. Tomorrow I'll go for a walk and post all four forms, unsullied by a pen, in the reply paid envelope supplied by the blue team. I hope this annoys them to some small degree.
