è importante però non demonizzare la caccia, che quando ben regolata e controllata fa molto per l'economia. Ad esempio, andassimo a caccia di miliardari, l'impatto ambientale dell'aviazione privata si ridurrebbe di una percentuale che potrei inventare, ma che sarebbe sicuramente significativa.

My issue with the word "slop" in this is that its translation in my language isn't immediate, because the closest (sbobba or brodaglia) aren't words we use much.
Meanwhile, google is wrong (translation online used to work, back in the good old days...):

I've talked with people who were seriously annoyed by the fact that some vegetarian/vegan foods were "abusing" meat-food names.
I've only ever had two complaints myself:
1. I wish recipes (e.g. "veggie carbonara") had their own name, rather than "vegetarian/vegan X". Especially when "X" is vegetarian already, and you make it vegan (like "vegan parmigiana").
2. I bought a veggie burger once, and it ended up being clearly a veggie sausage sandwich, not a veggie burger. A very good one at that, but not a burger.

I like that. I think people should then also be able to opt-in to a "thing" where they also sporadically get posts that aren't in any of their chosen feeds, but are "related", for example by virtue of being in the feeds of the some of the people they follow, to give the sense of serendipitous discovery of new stuff. Maybe, a somehow tunable "serendipity factor" that widens the concept "related".
I think a tab like tab would usually be more useful/interesting than the local/global timelines.

It's more like a cryptocurrency than a payment infrastructure.
I honestly don't see the reasoning why we would need something like that, rather than a single payment system to "replace" current card processors, or satispay, or the number of local payment systems that have cropped up recently. I would like something like Pix (the Brazilian payment system), for example.

a customer sent us a requirement recently for a thing that should go on cloud infrastructure (they ask for commercial cloud as part of their requirement, which is already somewhat mad).
They demand 97%+ uptime from the infrastructure, which, ok, the providers say they give.
Then they demand 99%+ uptime from the applications on that infrastructure. And, I asked, they don't mean 97%*99%: they fully expect the server apps to be operational when the infrastructure isn't.

If I got that right, looks like they want to use activity pub as a feed for some of their tech (which makes sense to me), so they are supporting the ecosystem a bit (thus avoiding being left hanging by themselves, which also makes sense).
