A few days ago I was preparing for a podcast (that I ended up not participating to, for reasons) and smth occured to me. I thought, being in recovery after my SRS was like being a super-hero gaining new super powers every day.
All these things that felt obvious before and that I was not able to do anymore for an extended period of time. When they come back, feels like doing something unique, amazing, exceptional!
Be on your knees in awe folks ! I have the super power to get on my side in the bed! To sit and eat. To get up on my feet without fainting. To move away more than 10m from my bed. And also the super power to get laid and orgasm (because yeah, there were like 8 weeks between those two came back to me).
And do you know the real super power I have now and did not before? The power not to wear panties. Damn I do not miss tucking. AT ALL!
Anyway, that's what would have been my approach for the subject, that and talking about the violence and queerphobia of the french medical system (e.g. the doctor asking why would you want a vagina if you are a lesbian????).

So there are news about my job.
These last weeks it became increasingly difficult.
Moreover the transmysoginistic harassment I've beared for a year now, both from my colleagues and my n+1; said dude started to cross the line professionally. Let us call him Damien ... because it's his name and I don't give a ish. I often vent about all of this here.
Long story short, it culminated this week with Damien asking dayly to everyone where I was and when I was leaving, after I wasn't there for another of his suprise meeting at 5H30pm, prohibiting remote work and enforcing that I ask his authorization to place my days off.
I snapped and had a panic attack in front of everyone, again. The difference here is that my friend T was here and I talked to him instead of Damien as I did before.
T spoke to HR, and HR spoke the big boss. She met me today. So I learned that:
- Damien never spoke to anyone about what I was telling him. Harassment and all.
- HR already had Damien explained that what he asked for was illegal, and he doubled down.
Without infodumping the details, boss told me that she would remind Damien that she was in charge, and that "you are a very courageous woman Abby, and I will put an end to all of this this instant"

Yesterday, we celebrated our 1st anniversary with @npub1885…yngj (kinda, long story short) and got ourselves two beautiful necklaces. There's a story I wanna tell explaining why it's so important to me (that she new when she went for that gift).
- A little more than two years ago, before transition, my dad gave me his wedding ring. He was on his deathbed and told me it was mine now. I couldn't tell him, but I decided to came out and start HRT. A few months later, about three months in HRT, my ba noi (grandma) told me that, since I was her oldest granddaughter, she wanted to give me her mom's necklace (a beautiful diamond).
- Now, during the veeery long week just after that, two things happened. First my adoptive mom got really angry that I accepted the necklace. She told me that since I wasn't really a girl, it should have been herited to my 10 years younger baby sis (that I love). So I gave it to her. Then my grandad told me that since I was a girl, I shouldn't have my dad's ring. That's a man's heritage. So I gave it back. I bought my oestradiol necklace to cover my neck.
- I left New Caledonia after my workplace got burned down, because I wasn't able to find a job, came to Nancy to work for the university. I met @npub1885…yngj just after that and fell in love. And with her I got a chosen family, the most amazing polycule I could imagine (I love you guys so much [@miranda_blue](https://eldritch.cafe/@miranda_blue ) @npub1syy…85wg @npub1qrx…uspt and Smile). We are both very fan of the Steven Universe show. She calls me her little peridot, and she's very much like lapis lazuli.
So I got her a peridot necklace, and she offered me a lazuli. Now my neck's not naked anymore. :neofox_hug: Hope it lasts many years.

La PRP avait super bien fonctionnée pr moi. Je te le souhaite fort fort fort. La douleur ça veut dire beaucoup de vascularisation, et c bon signe (si je me souviens correctement ce que me disait ma docteure ya 1 an et demi).

Tous les organismes ont fait la modification sans probleme, sauf le Crédit Agricole.

Avec mon acte civil en poche, je peux en demander une qui arriverais tres vite. Je peux aussi changer de banque.

The court order from were I live was sent to my birthplace 2 months ago. I called recently and they told me I'll have to wait at least 4 more months before anything happens. I then called one of my friends to try to speed things up :neofox_blush::
For the story. During the "collapse" in my country, when we were stranded in the valley for months, we had to organize with the local community to harvest and distribute food, get supplies from the city (that's how I got me E). I was known as "that biratial gay trans girl whose dad just died" and was bullied A LOT. I got really close to a couple of older lesbians. One of them is a farrier. She's a tall, strong butch who became my chosen mom :neofox_hug:. She followed me everywere, protecting me against idiots. The other is a kind hearted lady. I schooled her kids in exchange of fruits from her orchad. She's retired from the town hall :neofox_laugh_sweat:
I called her to explain 2 days ago, and she called the lawyer she was working with to interact with the court. I don't know what happened exactly, but 24 hours later, my document was corrected.

Little update about a story I told here previously.
For context :
- The court of my birthplace takes a loooooot of time to edit my birth certificate, as ordered by the court of the place I live in. It's been 2 months, and they say 4 more months before I can edit my ids.
- Organisms (such as my bank, the MGEN, Atoutbio...) all believe that a corrected id is necessary to change my name and gender in their files. In France, this is absolutely not true (Which I explained).
- The lab where I'm doing all my bloodtests is called Atoutbio. I told you recently that there is a woman at the desk that love to shout my deadname et misgender me in front of everyone, each and every f*ing time I go there. She refused to make the correction twice.
- I cannot wait for my id, so I decided to write a letter recalling them the law, with exemples of jurisprudences and penalties applicable, and the order from the court (info from the website of the "Défenseur des Droits", "décison cadre 2020-136 du 18 juin 2020).
Now:
At Atoutbio, my good friend was there : "Hi SIR DEADNAME, do you have your...". I cut her off :neofox_gun:, give her the letters and explained. I saw her slowly falling apart as she was reading. Especially I think the part were I say that "the persistent use of an incorrect name or gender, despite the present court order, constitues discriminatory harrassement based on gender identity".

Hi, I just wanted to share some realization I just had with you gals, that just blew my mind. I'm sure some of you will relate.
I told my girlfriend @npub1885…yngj (who's cute, and pretty, and smart, and kind😊) that I wanted to have a romantic dinner with her on the têt evening, since it would be the first year in a long time I wouldn't have my family to celebrate the new year. She asked me what we would need.
"A kumquat tree, a pretty dress, and you lov"
Until now, I was sure my chronic gender dysphoria began with puberty at around 13 to 15yo, but I suddenly realized that it was so much older, like 20 to 25 years ago.
We used to gather every year with my familly to celebrate the têt, and we would all wear expensive traditional clothes (some of you trans gals might see what's coming now). I just remembered that a year, when I was around 6 to 8yo, I got so very fucking jealous at my mom because she had this beautiful red Ao Dai stitched with gold. I can still see that fucking dress in my head when I close my eyes. I wanted to wear it sooo bad, but I wasn't allowed to.
I remember that I was to make a little show that I trained for, as it is customary (likely piano or flute? Don't remember). I was so happy to show off, then my Ba Noï got the boy traditional shirt🤢.
"It's okay if you don't want to do it anymore, but you have to tell me why otherwise it means you are lazy, and no son of mine will ever be lazy".
I couldn't tell her, because school and society already taught me internalized transphobia, so I got grounded. The absolute worst is that if I had told her, she would have bought me the damn dress with her mom's hearings to match, and it would have been a very different life, but the risk was too big. I'm so pissed at every one in the street now because it should not be!
Then that sentiment followed me, and I had to suffer that stupid red dress each and every f*ing year for a whole day. And I hated the têt. Well that will change in 2025. Beware, because I'll be the sexiest bitch in this fancy restaurant, with the prettiest Ao Dai you'll ever see!

En réponse à de reçents événements trés stressants sur la scène politique internationale, je fais le plus grand de mes arbre à ce jour, aux couleures du sunset flag. J'aimerais placer le prénom d'une femme queer dans chaque fleur. Pour signaler que nous sommes là pour rester, et que nous sommes les créatures les plus mignones sur terre. Si vous vous sentez à l'aise d'écrire le votre dans les commentaires (ou boost), je mettrai ma liste à jour.
Je l'imaginais spécifiquement pour des lesbiennes trans, mais j'aimerais le rendre le plus inclusif possible. Cela peut aussi être un surnom, même créé pour l'occasion. Ce qui est important est le symbole, et votre sécurité et anonymité. Je pense que je finirai par l'apporter à l'assos LGBTI de la ville où j'habite.
Pour l'anecdote, mon nom sera dans chacune des fleurs, puisque Mai signifie sakura doù je viens.

Ia'ora na lovely people.
I'm Abigaïl. My middle name is Mai.
I'm starting a new project and I need y'all help.
I like to make sakura origami. I fold each flower separately and attach it on a tree made with golden wires. I'll edit the post with images later.
As a sanitarium, in response to some recent stressful events on the international stage, I'm now making my biggest tree yet, and I'm using the sunset flag colors. I would like to store a queer woman's first name in each flower. To signal that we are here to stay, and that we are the cutest creatures alive. If you are comfortable writing yours in the comments, I'll update my list.
It used to be for trans lesbians specifically, but I now want it to be as inclusive as possible. It can also be a nickname, even if you came up with it for the occasion. What's important is the symbol, also your safety and anonymity. I think I'll eventually give the tree to the local LGBTI association (I'm in northwest france).
Incidentally, my own name will be on each and every flower, because Mai means sakura flower back home.

The Tokyo high court, presided by Sonoe Taniguchi, just ruled that not allowing same-sex couples to marry and enjoy the same benefits and stable legal statute as straight couples violates their fundamental right to equality and freedom, and constitutes a violation of the constitution.
"The ongoing ban is a groundless legal discrimination based on sexual orientation which violates the constitutional guarantee of right to equality, as well as individuals’ dignity and equality between sexes."

That's such a beautiful sentiment, described in the sexiest way (using nerdy lore).
I used to be terrified of failure because I was raised in an old fashion asian way. I was planning everything all the time so I would be perfect and do perfectly. I thought it was what my familly expected from me. Failure would mean they weren't good enough. It was tiresome.
In my mid 20s, I learned smth really important:
Batman's not the core identity of Bruce Wayne, empathy is. Batman's just a tool. All these things we do, or fail to do, are just anecdotal stops on our path, they are not defining us. If anything there is no failure, because what does make us is what we are learning from it. We always grow from our mistakes, if not about how to be Batman, at least about how to be compassionate.
I think that what I'm trying to say is, as long as your path is being yourself, content and improving, everything's gonna be okay. I am not a PhD, I am a loving woman that does PhD stuff. I never can fail to that.
