This means we can spend less on base fees (and pass that onto you!), and also possibly reduce payment failure rates.
This is strictly an artificial problem. Why does a 100 individual transactions cost less than a batch of 100 transactions? What is being optimized for? Not the database size. Batching would lose instantaenous transfers and introduce an additional layer of complexity of keeping track of transactions for the end user for no real benefit. All node operators need to do is to set a fee algorithm that treats transactions regardless of their size.
What am I missing?

The development model of bluesky is a bit weird.
It's a closed system. People are required to provide KYC and their substack/twitter handle to get further insights as a developer. To use the app, people need to register their email to get early access. If it is just software, just release it into the public and let ppl run their own infrastructure. It looks more like traiditonal company.

Once the feed is loaded, it shouldn't refresh and update the posts until the end of feed is reached or a special button is clicked directing it to refresh the feed.
The posts currently move all around the places and it's not a nice experience.

Also, since I have your attention, really appreciate if we don't alter the feed when we go back to the feed screen from post screen using "cmd+[" on mac.
What's happening is that I focus a post, read it, interact with it but when I go back there is a glitch in the feed; the posts move around the places and it won't go to where I had left off. It's a major hindrance to browsing for long times.

Yeah the animation is too slow. It’s nice for small number interactions but not suited for social media apps where ppl spend hours. It needs to be minimalist and super fast transitions between screens.
Minimalist because the amount of UI information change on the screen should be minimal; it helps read more content and not burden the brain.

What does it mean to open communication channel? Everything is an event. We may have a second layer protocol that mimics a channel but underneath it must communicated as events and that can be tracked.

I don’t believe there are any overhead costs in traditional banking system. It’s in fact much cheaper since it involves a mere ledger update and probably a message passing system. The prices are jacked up mainly because they are a monopoly and there is an opportunity to profit.
In countries like China and India, they have seamless payments Infrastructure that scales for 1+ billion ppl with no fees and no issues.

Bank crashing is deflationary because a lot of dollars will disappear.
If the Fed tries to backstop the banking system, then it'd only be filling the hole on teh asset side of the balance sheet. The liability side of the balance sheet which is perceived as money remains unchanged.
We have no evidence, at least in the developed economies that a greater amount of reserves would compel banks to create more credit and cause currency to inflate. It is the demand for credit that drives credit creation not the reserves as experienced during 2008 bailouts -- there was no inflation. In fact, after 2008, the Fed had to do 3 rounds of QE to get the economy going -- If they hadn't done it, the US could have become another Japan.
