I remember trawl doors on the local fleet in Lochinver but they were just slightly curved lumps of steel with some strengthening members welded across the back, probably a little bigger than a man in length? Those are humongous 😄

Fair do's
My wife gave it up as well for similar reasoning I think..
She spends all day fretting when I'm out and about. 😳
I can see her point but, also, I have been doing this all my adult life (and some of my not so adult life) and am pretty sensible about it.
Even stay within speed limits where it's safe to do so 😬

Someone thought it was a good idea to book an appointment for an M.O.T. test at 0900 hrs, 100 miles from home!
The XJ has been off the road for a year so we haven't ventured out in all that time.

I think I posted a picture of a roadsign outside of Lochinver on the A837
Some bright spark had had a sticker made up to replace the original "Beware of sheep" sign with a large generic beast stamping on the bonnet of a car.
The sign has been removed now :(
I'll see if I still have the picture but I don't hold out much hope of finding it
