What does it mean for bitcoin to become culture?
Nearly every bitcoiner goes through a phase of wanting to explain bitcoin to people, and who wouldn't! Isn't it fun to explain new things?
Most people realize that the success rate of explanation is quite low and decide it is no longer fun. It is easy to say bitcoin shatters a lot of false beliefs for people and that "we" are so clever so of course the masses will be slow, but is this true?
Or might there actually be a profound epistemic flaw in the idea of explanation in and of itself as a method of spreading ideas? If a person thinks they are reasonable, would they not project that sense onto others, and thereby, affirm their view of themselves by giving someone else an explanation, about anything?
So who is threatened, existentially? Are you not the first to be by the mere implicit assertion that explanations are a thing that work? For if the possibility that you adopted a thing for a reason other than cleverness exists, what does that say about your understanding of the world?
Rather than giving you all my thoughts on these matters, do you see something that might have been broadly missed about the nature by which things are adopted?
And please, do not be so lazy to say that we are adopting plenty fast; this is a discussion on propagation dynamics, not an argument about what is or isn't "fast enough". Also, avoid the tautology that once it is adopted broadly, it will thus be culture. Finally, I posit that the adornments of bitcoiners to various lifestyles whether constructive or degenerate, diets, marital patterns, nomadism, etc. are not cultural inventions of bitcoin. So will you ask, why are you lying to yourself about the nature of reality? Clearly, you recognize the distinction between individual and collective is not binary. I suspect part of the transition to this may require a doctrinal shift around force posture that pivots more toward allowing allies to unilaterally impose cost rather than the US becoming entangled in a strategy of denial. I am thinking about the weapons that align with this transition at the nation state level, which then will lead to trickle down decentralization over time.
I suspect it may be impossible for it to be grassrooted bottom up with communes: El Salvador, Prospera, Solano, etc, which of course are not taken seriously in their own right, for cities will not effectively defy states, nor are they currently able to defend their territory against a centralized hegemon, so no one will truly defect even if they signal conditional interest.
It will likely be many decades of international decoupling at the conventional layer, with a shift toward cost imposition as a stable deterrent, which will help the world realize the strategy of denial against tyranny fails in securing liberty.

How a new class of geothermal turbine that uses sCO2, which can be utilized anywhere on the planet simply drilling into hot rock, in conjunction with low cost directed energy drilling methods could make geothermal the best "nuclear" energy source, without the impediments around nuclear energy developing nations face to the greatest degree.
That it will bring so much energy growth to both developing and developed countries, it will reduce the global price of oil and the global conflict of the petrodollar by disincentivizing war, regardless of how quickly bitcoin defunds it.
That due to on grid energy project development inefficiencies and corruption in Western countries, developing countries could initially take the global lead in this transition, especially as behind the meter markets, including bitcoin mining and AI datacenters continue to grow.
That the company working on this also has the capability to greatly improve natural gas turbogen efficiency, reliability, and upfront cost, including operating on sour (corrosive) natural gas that goes almost entirely unutilized.
At some point, I will need to broach the subject that these technologies are coupled to the military industrial complex and where I fit into all of this on the materials & manufacturing side. I will bring something up that may seem a bit bizarre, but true, which is that until it is demonetized, advanced weapons systems will be made: better that some of those profits go into bitcoin. We'll see how that goes. I'd say it's still better that the US retains upperhand over CCP, etc, but don't need to go into that.
Finally, I will bring up how more than just the things themselves, it is how they are achieved that matters. That I am trying to put together a fully bitcoiner LP base as this could mark a turning point of bitcoin beginning to fix things in a big way at the level of atoms, with orders of magnitude greater efficiency than the fiat world. And that if bitcoiners do not take ownership of this arc, it will be inevitably consumed by the shitcoiners who are diversifying their mimetic territory through faux industrialism (e.g. A16Z, et al "American Dynamism").
Ultimately, I hope Jack will be interested in continuing the conversation.

Nations around the world have been under the thumb of external tyranny suppressing energy development for too long. And, @npub1sg6…f63m this will matter to you: ESCAPING ENERGY POVERTY is the only way to scale optionality and make freedom truly meaningful to every human -- bitcoin alone is not enough. It is easy to imagine a world fully bitcoinized, fully nuclearized, and now we have a first few steps to take.
