These cycles are clearly easy to understand. I agree with you that a lot of people buy in at the top of any cycle and then sell at the Lows. It’s human nature. And this will all happen again at a half a million or $1 million per bitcoin.
Bitcoin is gonna separate the speculators from the investors. Surviving that first cycle is pretty tough, especially when you’re young. I started buying bitcoin at $6000 and it went down below $3000. I’ve been buying every day since.

Well, I don't disagree with you - as the files clearly show blackmail is the name of the game.
But there is nothing in the Bitcoin code, node or mining system, that would suggest we can't break that shaped world view.
Just need enough to understand it.

100%. But leading up to that meeting was a big debate in the 1800's about central control versus decentralization (state power).
The Power structure won in 1913 with the creation of the Federal Reserve. It's really been downhill since. The world has actually been in a constant state of war ever since.
When a few men in the world control the money (the financially protected class) there will ALWAYS be conflict (no free markets).
You could actually go back to the Civil War - many were taught to believe it was about slavery. It was not. Slavery was being phased out anyway. It was about property rights. The north wanted a strong CENTRAL/Collectivist government, and they won - and wrote the history books.
The south actually lost the war because they over printed money (yes, the south had their own currency and it hyper-inflated - like ALL wars the country that hyper inflates their fiat first loses). Once the south lost, we started the LONG journey to a large central government, Federal Reserve, Jekyll Island, and 1971, and here we are...
Bitcoin will finally change the course of human civilization. If Gold somehow wins (highly unlikely), we continue down the path of endless wars and booms/busts where most are slaves to a system owned by a few Elites that control the money.

Feel totally safe with most assets in cold storage (I can handle a 70% draw down and be fine - and anyone staying around for 10+ years could say the same).

Treasury Companies are on sale.
They are not going away.
I'm sticking with #Bitcoin in cold storage but have bought a little in these companies. Not expecting instant gratification but over a few years and a bull run in #Bitcoin they should do quite well.
That does not mean they won't go down more and if you are not a long term holder you probably get slaughtered (sell with 10-50% loss).

Agreed on Silver - bought a bunch $18-$22 - a whole bunch. And the China export constraints are driving this a little too - we don't know the whole impact yet. Maybe it goes a lot higher.
But Bitcoin was, and has been a better buy over the same period of time and if you stay with a 5-7 year time span my guess is #Bitcoin will outperform again - over and over (as you say, understand the supply). A 10 year time frame Bitcoin wins it all.
If someone is trading, good luck either way but it's a losing battle trading - eventually you lose. If you hit the run up in price of either/both more power to you and enjoy the moment, I'm sticking with buy daily until reaching a goal then HODL.

It's likely those with quality products will be MORE likely (and earlier) to accept #Bitcoin. Understanding Bitcoin takes work and thought. Those that work hard and think about their products more have better quality and customer service (generally speaking).
Seek out those that accept Bitcoin. And ask business owners if they accept Bitcoin - the more you ask the more it will resonate in their head.

Great perspective. Frédéric Bastiat (1801-1850) was a French economist, writer, and classical liberal advocating free markets and free trade, famous for satirizing protectionism - something we could use today!
But he was before Austrian Economics. Carl Menger founded the Austrian School with his 1871 book "Principles of Economics." It originated out of Vienna's academic scene.
Unfortunately the Elites understood they could control money and won the money battlefield in the late 1800's (Austrians lost). This arguably led to the system we have today which cause two World Wars and endless forever wars (all paid for with fiat).

Think Human Energy. Think: one bitcoin is fixed in time (value changes as human energy is captured in it's digital scarcity).

I have some money left in IRA's that I'm slowly getting rid of (doing as little tax damage as possible).
If you trade your Bitcoin you have a VERY HIGH chance of having LESS Bitcoin in the future as you have today.
If you can make it through 5 years, it's very unlikely a dip like today or last month will affect you. It means nothing to me. If it goes to $75K I have enough it has zero impact on my life.
But this requires buying daily (not the ETF) and HODLing for 10 years (or more - keep working - dream big).

This is not a good use of USA tax payer money.
The USA has spent $30+ trillion dollars trying to solve terrorism/war world wide since the end of WW2.

What is striking about Kai is just how grounded she is. She’s rock solid as you would expect from a family that had stayed together (not the case with Don Junior or senior). I think this gives insight into the Trump family and probably the Trump organization too. They were able to raise really good kids, even from broken families and that’s hard to do. We have five kids and all of them are rock solid, and super successful but we’ve been married 33 years and that was our focus - raising good kids. It’s not easy.

Well, I 100% agree in todays world where US produces enough oil to be independent. But there was a time after WW2 that US was the police force of the world keeping energy flowing (that has gotten WAY off track).
In CURRENT situations we can probably pull out of the Middle East and it would not hurt USA. But, that would really create a problem for Europe/World who are decreasing oil imports from the middle east but still import about 10%. And the rest of the West is already a mess due to massive distortion in the fiat money system (misdirected capital everywhere - gearing up for war - same cycle happening again). Hamas thought it was a good idea to build tunnels to transport rockets under residential area - spending $100's of million to do so. How did that work out?
Also - some would say better to fight terrorist on their soil than ours? This is questionable because in my opinion, this meddling creates terrorist. But you could argue that either way.
Bottom line, it's a tangled mess. How you get out of the mess is pretty hard to figure out. And if you don't support Israel and things go south - you have no allies in the middle east you can trust - and a lot of commerce runs though that area.
Hopefully Israel sees the writing on the wall with USA 'trying' to bring back manufacturing (translation - USA can't afford for this middle east mess to continue so we will eventually pull out). But until then keep your friends close and your enemies closer.

But the fact that so many are questioning it gives a view into how people don't trust anything anymore because so many things are a lie.
From the food we have been told is 'healthy' to the money we use (which is not money but a tool of enslavement), everything is fake. Politics is a tool as well, the sides created benefit the Elites (not the people). They both have spent us blind.

Well, we will definitely agree to disagree.
Remember: #Bitcoin really can't be horded once you are on a Bitcoin standard. The reason it's being horded now is because FIAT exists. People can print FIAT and buy Bitcoin.
Once the fiat system purchasing power disintegrates to nothing, people will have to spend their Bitcoin to buy things. Meaning we have a REAL money system that can't be cheated (Government can't print what you have to work for).
This is a hard concept to understand because we were all brainwashed into this fiat system of slavery. It's so engrained, we don't even see what real money is anymore unless you READ a ton of books on history of civilization, history of money, the Fed, and Bitcoin.
Money is an exchange of human energy. The US$ is not money - it's a currency created out of thin air that has no value OTHER than someone else will accept it for their work/energy. FIAT has 100% always crashed at some point - it's never worked. BUT we keep trying due to lack of other options and control by those that have the ability to benefit from the free printing press.
It's coming. We will definitely have money outside of Government. But I will admit they will not give up that power/control of people easily.

This sure is one view. But the other view is you CAN still own a car and put it in the fleet when you are not using it.
Car ownership will become like horse ownership - more of a hobby OR a business (someone has to maintain the fleet or herd of race horses).
Those just starting out in life will save a LOT of money not owning a car. The wise new humans will save their energy in #Bitcoin and eventually own a autonomous car if they want - or purse other interests.

You are correct, fiat was/is the nail in the coffin of capitalism - it did NOT exacerbate it, but ruined it (history shows it always does) - we have been straying from capitalism for decades - over half a century. Some would say since the income tax over 100 years ago. World War solidified fiat.
Capitalism is just the REAL exchange of human energy - something you have that I want and something I have that you want. A 'currency' is needed because what you want is not always what I have - so it allows our ENERGY to be translated to a medium of exchange. That's what history tells us. But it's not exactly right.
In the 1800's (still a real Gold standard) we invented trains, autos, electricity, communications - it was the last big 'bubble' of innovation (driven by hard money).
As this efficiency worked it's way into the economies of the world the wealth gap decreased for nearly 100 years. BUT - politicians implemented this thing in the early 1900's called the 'income tax' (temporary I might add) that actually ROBBED the general population for the next 100+ years of that efficiency (which created poverty we know today - it's true - central government planning creates poverty, not solve it). In spite of the income tax, wealth gap closed and the the politicians did not steel ALL the deflationary progress. They did not have too, they got filthy rich - it was an epic run!
We are at the end of that cycle - we have been for 50 years (the US dollar actually would have collapsed in the 70's if we did not cheat and go off the Gold standard - which had been decaying for decades).

Conclusion. Capitalism created all you have today. Fiat has been stealing the benefits and funneling it to those closest to the money printer for decades. Deflation is the natural state of Capitalism and once the theft (taxers and printing) are GREATER than the deflationary pressures of real economic gains, the pyramid collapses (which it is doing right now).
The natural state of human innovation is capitalism - the exchange of (base layer here) REAL energy for REAL energy (you catch a fish I trade for a fur to make a coat - exchange of ENERGY).
Bitcoin will bring us back to that as it's real human energy maximizing time preference of money (which drives innovation). @nprofile…6g5h book "Principles of Economics" does a great job explaining this concept.
Also deep dive history of civilization. It seems like this has nothing to do with money but capitalism with a currency (real money, not fake) was the ONLY combination that created civilization. Without it, we would still be in packs of 150 people or so living off the land.

Your perspective is a HUGE problem - because the solution is truly Capitalism with good/services - AND with money (private fixed real money, not fiat).
Study #Bitcoin - study hard - it's a once in a 1000 year opportunity. In a decade Bitcoin will grow with the productivity of humanity. First it has to eat all the misdirected capital (which is what you are frustrated with). And the growth is a 100X in a decade or two (sorta depends on how bad we mismanage the world fiat system).

Exactly the opposite on Jesus and Capitalism. You need to read a LOT of books and study a LOT of history.

I think most of the world population lives under oppressive Governments.
So we are 'all' ethnic groups oppressed by Government!
Even in what appears to be the most free nations, the propaganda is pretty deep from mainstream news outlets. I only woke up to this because I follow so many independent reporters on Telegram. It's stunning how much is happening out there that we don't hear about.
I really can't tell how intentional it is, but you find things sometimes that is totally blacked out and you realize there is no way this is intentionally being kept out of the news. Things like Epstein, and child trafficing are so horrific and we hear silence.

Been saying this since the start of the Ukraine war.
Drones and the technology behind them has made obsolete 11 battle and aircraft carrier groups costing upwards of $50 billion EACH including all support vessels and destroyers (one Ford class carrier cost upwards of $15 billion with $1 billion/year in operating expenses).
What's really amazing is the cost of ordnance on these carriers is many times the cost of a drone. So even if the drones don't take out every ship they will drive the country OWNING the aircraft carrier group into bankruptcy.
It's only a matter of time with US aggression and expose around the world before someone launches enough drones that it just overwhelms the carrier group.

The pain of the Canadian system needs to inflict a LOT more pain on people. I hope the USA does not need to fall this far.

I think Trump does care about Americans. If you watch his videos going back 30 years, you can see it in his face and hear it in his voice. He really does care.
If Trump knew bitcoin were the solution, which we know it is, he would probably adopt it instantly, just how Trump makes decisions. The problem is even with all the #Bitcoin people around him, he still doesn’t really get the magnitude of what’s happening (meaning he’s trying to fix the system from within). Trump is a product of the current system and he’s old. His son’s and his inner circle might save him. Time will tell.

They don't prefer to see you struggle. They just have a self confidence problem and it's hard to accept their friend/neighbor/coworker is growing and they are not.
Most people will NOT take responsibility for their OWN situation.
An old saying is, "It's lonely at the top." is all too true. It's harder to find friends and talk to people if you become very well educated.
I struggle to talk about some guy throwing a ball or another guy hitting a little white ball with a club or stick - I have no interest at all. Senseless noise in a world full of life and opportunity.
If I change the subject - say talk about the bond market or #Bitcoin - total deer in the headlights, "I have a financial planner that takes care of all that."
And our friends are business owners, and retirees with good lifestyles.
Get to the working class it's even worse. But all around it's pretty bad how tuned out most people are. The Western World is sorta on autopilot at the Colosseum of Rome. Bread and Games - all is grand and good - which is all going to change the next decade and YOU will be ready.

But it would not be the first time either one of them was wrong! lol
Regardless, its not wrong. The massive trade imbalance the U.S. has is mostly from currency manipulation, but that's another topic. The reality is most countries protect their industries with Tariffs - which is what the graph shows.
Tariffs help CREATE trad deficits - because they create trade imbalance. Again, Trump is trying to reduce or eliminate all tariffs so we have free trade. Of course, as mentioned, this will not change the currency manipulation problem - but that's next....

If you read the book, "Provoked" you see Ukraine has been a tinderbox since after WW2. Read "One Nation Under Blackmail" by Whitney Webb for a very, very deep dive, 1000 pages, if history, with 1000s of references, of the corruption passed on from generation to generation.
The West has done great harm in Ukraine - which is the cause of most of the problems today. The Russiaphobia in the West, what is that all about? Who started it? Why?
I struggle with the Palestinian issue. $100 of millions spent building tunnels by Hamas so they can launch rockets from residential areas. Then when Israel bombs the launch site and kills civilians the press is all over it - genocide.
Israel did not chose their land - they were forced there.
The Muslims and Christians have been at war for over 1000 years. The multi-volume series, "The Story of Civilization" is outstanding. Really puts in perspective how long this war has been going on.
It's clear Israel tried to get along with Palestinians over the last 20 years. Trying to live together. Clearly that did not work - as it has not worked for 100s of years.
So we are at a point someone will need to win, and someone will need to lose I guess. I really don't know.
To your origional point about talking this issue - I think we stay out of it (the West) and just let it play out. The West has been trying to Nation Build for decades and guess what - it has not worked after spending 10's of trillions of dollars.
As hard as it is to watch people kill each other, I don't believe stepping into the middle of the war will fix the war.

I think even Hamilton 'may' have been a #Bitcoin Maxi.
Why?
The belief in the day is private currency could not be trusted. Historically that would be true.
But if you truly understand Bitcoin, it's not really 'private' currency in the historical sense. Private currency was still controlled at the top (banks, Elites, etc...).
What if Hamilton knew for sure Bitcoin was truly decentralized, limited, and not under anyone's private control?
Make no mistake: This is pure speculation on my part. Hamilton was instrumental in the entire current banking system as he convinced Washington to create First Bank of the United States - to maintain economic control and fund, yep, WAR. This 'legacy' of his should go down in history as contributing to one of the worst systems/events in human history. Time will tell.

And BTW - Tesla's sales in China 2024 reached a record high of over 657,000 cars, marking an 8.8% increase from the previous year.

Actually - you can buy a Tesla - the best technology. Most American made car on the market.
But yes, you can also buy legacy auto with shitty technology.
Since most BMW are leased, it will just increase the lease payment a couple hundred a month. No big deal when the reason you are buying a car is for the 'statement' - because BMW tech is as antiquated as US car company tech - almost anyway - BMW does a good job for the appearance I guess anyway.
(on my 5th Tesla - the Cybertruck makes the Y look old, and the Model Y is miles ahead of legacy auto)

Nostr will grow like everything. It's a LOT of painful day to day flat line growth wearing us out. Then something happens, boom, and it grows - even doubles - in short order.
Then back to painful plateau for a while again. Human nature.
But what always wins? The strongest platform! And from an individual basis, Nostr is it - people will learn they can not be cancelled and you have total control of your information here - which is definitely not the case on Twitter/X or anything else.

Okay. Let's say they are adopted.
This does nothing to stop #Bitcoin. BUT, as people realize they are being controlled (won't happen overnight) will they gravitate to Bitcoin and lightning wallets where they are not controlled now that they have a 'taste' of digital currency?
They will also learn they can SAVE with Bitcoin - eventually.
