I was surprised Kamala conceded so quickly and Joe so gracefully met with 47 to ease the transition but given that all 7 swing states went red and in light of those baffling “we don’t need any votes” statements, it certainly seems recounts are justified. Watched Martha, a documentary on Martha Stewart, last night on Netflix. A sympathetic portrayal of her rise & fall, all over a seemingly innocent stock tip that cost her public company $1 billion plus prison time. I was thinking to myself what a contrast with her minor crime & severe punishment and Trump’s multiple unpunished crimes made in plain sight. Then independently my wife said out loud the same thing. Oh, and there’s a scene with James Comey persecuting Martha.

Thanks for this: many here feel the same. Believed all the “coin flip” predictions but wasn’t prepared for a popular vote blowout like this. More low-info racists and misogynists than expected. Starting to wonder if Mastodon — and for some Threads — was too much of a comfortable silo/echo chamber. Today will take one breath and one step at a time and hope for ….. not sure what. Even that seems to have been snatched from us.

Anyone here experience Hip pain from trochanteric bursitis, or Piriformis Syndrome, or arthritis? I can barely walk or stand more than a few minutes but diagnosis seems inexact. Been going on at least 6 weeks. Suggestions on painkillers, physio and other treatments welcome.

I switched a year ago to Mastoot on Apple devices and use desktop version of original Mastodon on Mac laptop. No issues but before I switched, found the main mastodon app in devices way too slow. However, it was better for posting links from online newspapers: can’t do that much from Mastoot.
