The links you are posting are silly considering the pool hasn't even hit a block yet, they haven't censored anything. What pool are you suggesting miners partner with as the alternative to not mining with Ocean? I've used Braiins and Luxor so far. The rest that actually hit blocks are nearly all kyc.

I'm curious about this as well, I use both blue wallet and Zeus to compare the two regularly. I disagree with your prior statement regarding Zeus controlling a wallet elsewhere as you can create a dedicated wallet in the mobile app that uses your node as the backend but creates a dedicated wallet separate from any other sats on said node.
I've found Zeus to be much faster at accepting Tor channels on Cold start to receive and send payments whereas BlueWallet has a much longer spool up time with many more vague unknown errors like "failed to connect to server" which I find may mean a wide variety of different potential issues at play with no help pinpointing. Similar errors on Zeus are much more specific by comparison.

I both agree and disagree. to some extent, I wouldn't have the knowledge I do now without having ran a node and made several mistakes along the way for the last 2 years. however, the avg user and a far younger version of myself would have tossed in the towel on the first couple of mistakes and just turned to cold storage only rather than putting sats to work. The fear of losses by making mistakes turns most off and can burn opportunities that some basic preemptive research can avoid.
so yeah, get messy, but get your research foundation a bit solid before doing so, if that makes sense.

Do you have mempool installed? I had the same issue for months until I removed mempool from my node and just reference .space as needed instead. no issues whatsoever since removing mempool app from umbrel.
Rpi4 with 1tb Samsung for reference.

Although they don't currently support 2023 issued s19xp Asics, hopefully they update BraiinsOs for these models soon! Can't wait to integrate StratumV2

Please use a Bitcoin only pool, like Braiins or similar, rather than nicehash. Nicehash contributes to the shtcoin dilemma and sell pressure which primarily benefits central exchanges.
