Also #Today, I enaged in some #Plumbing.
Ticked the almost 7 year old item of The List to replace the slow leaking master bath mixer tap (yes, I needed replacing, after some consulting I determined it was beyond repair)
I HATE plumbing.
Yes, the bathroom got hosed.
Anyway, that's probably why I'm feverish now.
Due to the 'plumbing'.

- brushed and kinda trimmed the dogs
- toilette inlet thing washer replaced, so it shuts the water like a champ again.in the process also figure out how to properly adjust the damn thing to prevent over filling
- dishwasher is almost done
- eldest (expired) epi-pen has been replaced (also fuck Heather Bresch with ALL the dicks. may her toast always be too dry. also giant hemorrhoids for her, forever).
Anyway, still 💯 HATE plumbing jobs.

Hey hey, we have some (very low pressure) #water in the taps again!
Hooray!
I do suspect as everybody washes dishes and assholes, water lawns, fill swimming pools and so on, we will probably lose it again during the day.
But after this evening, I'm optimistic recovery will have been sufficient that the system can be marked as "kinda healthy" again.

Full disclosure - seeing if I can break a site by using a 128 char very very random password (with all the weird chars included), is a fun little hobby I have.
This will be the 3rd site I have found where things go wibbly - and THIS one did not even take the 128chars, I had to reduce to about 32 (I think - it's early ok I wasn't paying that much attention)

Everything is actually pretty straightforward, I don't understand why #SARS opted to NOT auto-assess my ass this year.

#Today, I realized my dad retired 30 June 2017.
He did not really stop working, because "money", so he was still doing contract jobs for the University from which he "retired" (and some other places).
3 years later he was dead (cancer/chemo/heart/whatever).
So...work work work, retire, 3 years, dead.
I don't like this system.

SO... institutions that need to send me encrypted stuff (banks for example).
WHY WHY WHY can *I* not specify the encryption key for you to use?
Even better, why can't I give you a public key (asymmetric encryption)?
Or you can help my generate a key pair?
And only then when the user does not want to do that, THEN fall back to using my ID/birth-date/account number (all of which are semi public guessable discoverable info anyway).

In other news, apparently the petrol cap of my 2006 ford fiesta has gone missing.
3 nearby auto-parts places do NOT have replacement part.
Guess now I'll have to find a "genuine ford spare part dealership", which will charge me about x10 for the stupid thing.

While my mouse scroll button is on the fritz, and I have not yet made up my mind about a replacement, I have grown to appreciate how SHITTIFIED browser scrollbars have become.
Like seriously, I'm luck if I can get poor emaciated thing clicked!
The #UI designers at my previous employer seemed to wage a never ending war against scroll-bars - they never wanted to see the things.
Seems they were only foot soldiers in a much bigger war :(
