As the creator of Redox, I believe Ribbon's answer is inaccurate. We simply have not had to deal with this scenario, but I would not hesitate to ban a user who holds intolerant beliefs.

For databases, you likely will use the database library in every place and it will always use advisory locking. I don't know the history well, but I guess Linux had good reasons to not support mandatory locking

With the fediverse, we have the power to choose our home and I prefer to choose one where I would be comfortable recommending everyone I know to join. I cannot in good conscience remain on a server where people I know could potentially be victimized by the people in power.
A person is in power at fosstodon.org who does not believe in privacy for trans children. If this is a publicly held belief that they are willing to voice, what are they willing to do with private power?
