ios is tricky, it seems they really make it difficult for any kind of webapp/pwa to keep websockets connected when switching apps, I'm currently debugging this and trying to find a solution. Also waiting more than 1month for apple review for altstore in europe....

For using bitblik as a maker you don't need to use the BLIK system, you can buy something online in some polish amazon-style website, choose to pay with BLIK and then request a code in bitblik. Of course if you physically in Poland visiting you can also in most shops/restaurants/ATM use bitblik in similar way. As a taker you need to be able to generate BLIK codes which usually means a polish account or polish residence proof which revolut supports.

Do you know what requirements to have access to it? IT residence proof, social security or tax ID?
Would want to try to make similar tool for it but probably need cooperation with someone with access to it.

Currently only language changes.
In current form, bitblik only supports BLIK payment system which is used mainly in Poland, although they are starting to enter slovak and portuguese market.
I would gladly expand bitblik to support other currencies and systems in other countries, the difficulty with that is that usually such payment systems require a residence or tax id in those countries which makes development and testing solutions for them a much harder task.
But slowly we'll work to get there.

@npub1k3g…stj3 was created exactly to achieve the same "basically living on Bitcoin" dream here in Poland.
Besides the p2p, privacy and unstop-ability aspect of it - which is cypherpunk AF - it also gives people wanting to live on Bitcoin an important advantage of being able to exchange your bitcoin for tangible things that you can feel you actually "own" and now in your hand like groceries, meal at a restaurant that you just consumed, or even cash from an ATM.
Unlike when using exchanges (even decentralized non-kyc like robosats, hodlhodl and others), you still mostly need to receive the fiat in some sort of bank account or fintech app thingy, which opens the possibility of being scammed by people asking platforms like revolut/wise for charge back.
In such cases usually those platforms require you to prove that the fiat origin was for a legal trade of some sort, you might have difficulties in proving that the anonymous trade of your bitcoin is in fact your identity, since they operate in a KYC, centralized, proof-of-identity world.
This basically means that you sent your bitcoin but you now hold "fiat" which is not in your actual possession, and you need someone's permission to use/spend it.
Spending your bitcoin in things or services that you already have consumed or hold in your hand is such a powerful feeling, you rather cannot be rug pulled in this way, and with that comes a feeling of freedom and sovereignty.
Another nice aspect of it is that now you have a much better answer when your normie friends come at you with the argument against bitcoin: "But you cannot spend it practically anywhere".
Here's a quick summary of the amount of places in Poland you can now spend your Bitcoin anonymously/privately and non-KYC, so shut the fuck up!

Now the issue is not finding places where you can spend your bitcoin, but rather: is there enough people wanting to live in a Bitcoin Standard and wanting to spend their bitcoin?
Demand for non-KYC bitcoin is here and will only probably increase in near-term because of more regulation and control.
@npub1k3g…stj3 fills this demand, but we need more people wanting to actually spend their bitcoin and creating more offers in tools like @npub1l8k…97q9, @npub1k3g…stj3 and others.
Remember:
If you don't want to spend your bitcoin, you still have too much fiat.

It's even worst than I imagined trying to distribute an .ipa on altstore or directly from your domain in Europe.
There is still a review process (less guidelines than app store) but degrading for app developers to have to go through such pain and stupidity.

Yes. The maker will receive a receipt from the ATM showing that the BLIK code is invalid (if the taker/scammer did use it already).

I had very similar idea to give the takers the option to auction an offer in bitblik, to give people a chance to bid and not only try to be fast and take the offer as the first person. Probably will implement this soon, with short time constraint depending on maker's preferences.
