It's funny how many techbros and ai fetishists live in constant fear of "the basilisk" or ai takeover but will still push for the development of ai. They are not content with shouting themselves in the foot, they want to make the biggest gun possible.

Let me rephrase my first point: why are you angrier at leftists who did not vote than at the democratic party, despite the huge disparity of political power?
As for the second, why would people acts according to the wishes of people who think they "mind-numbingly stupid" if they disagree? At the very least, considering the results of the elections and the reactions of people in this thread, you can clearly see it is a losing strategy. Less people voted than before not more. I think it is a clear form of entitlement.
Now, I am not really willing to participate in a discussion I had dozens of times with similar results, what I hope however is that after it's done my points will stick in your mind and you will find ideas that escape your preconceptions.
As a finishing word, if I may be blunt, blaming other people for your team's defeat years after the facts is disappointing. Vote-enthusiasts love to tell me you can vote and do something else. Now is something else time, and I am sure there are *way more urgent and important* other things to be done than complaining about non-voting leftists.

I find it peculiar that you think progressive folks who do not vote enable trump more than the democrat party, one of the most powerful political institution of your country...
I also find it peculiar that you think the democrats are *owed* votes from people they do not represent and actively vilified and attacked (in some case actively through armed repression).
I genuinely think you should reflect on that.

You're describing social species and not pack species which is a subset of the former. Also I was asking for other example of pack animals (I should have been more clear, my bad). Still I think your answer is adequate.
We are not a pack. I look at the world and do not see packs. I see communities with various organisations most of them having been artificially created.
But let's suppose you're right... who's the pack leader of your friend group? Of your neighbourhood?
Also, why would we be unable to confront our nature? Do *you* seek to dominate the people around you? Is that something that happens systematically in your social groups?
