I like being the source of all ideas in my relationship with AI. Honestly it's shown me how many of my ideas are terrible, and that's amazing! What if I had gone all in on a terrible idea and it cost me a ton of time and capital? That was just the way of the world before AI.
Now I have a sounding board to talk about implementation with who actually knows what they're talking about. I don't believe them when they say "This is a genuinely unique and amazing idea" but I do believe it when I ask technical questions about how we could make it a reality. When I the pieces aren't fitting together the way I thought, I stop and reassess if it was actually a good idea or not.
Bad ideas are needed too, but only if you learn from them to come up with better ideas. I've been learning a lot with the help of AI... Some of it the hard way, but probably not as hard as it would have been without AI.
AI is a tool. It's useless without us.

This was a fantastic rip with Giacomo and it's not because I agree with virtually all of his opinions, which I do, but that's not why. It's because this pod is a perfect example of why there should be more Bitcoin podcasts. Giacomo's opinions are nuanced and cannot be easily communicated in a tweet and wouldn't be as widely appreciated in a long form note or article, his opinions needed a podcast to be fully communicated and appreciated. Podcasts are what killed the woke left because their opinions were not nuanced and could not be articulated with meaning in a long form discussion. This is how I find signal through the noise.

At first I was just using the claude web app and passing file updates to GitHub manually but by the end I installed Claude Code and it was pushing the updates for me.
I'm still learning the best way to do this stuff.

This has been my intuition as well. I played around a little bit with some of it to see if it unlocked any new super powers for me and my biggest takeaway is that it automatically makes me a python expert, which I need to think more about what that actually opens up for me, and it's pretty good at front end design so it makes things look pretty which is cool, but not a game changer.
I think the real bottleneck is people having great ideas that can be made into an MVP at a fraction of the cost compared to a couple of years ago.
We need more bad ideas in the hopes that we find out that one of them actually isn't bad or is actually amazing but no one realized it until they had it in their hands.

Nope just Linux mint. Open claw has it's own onboarding flow so I just put a script on the desktop to install it and it'll walk you through the onboarding process and get everything all setup.

So I ended up accidentally building an agent essentially from scratch because I couldnt remember what open claw was called and so claude.ai just ended up building it with python and walked me through setting everything up on an HP mini PC that we put ubuntu server on. i'm using @nprofile…etsy for basically everything and I'll keep you posted on how much i'm spending. getting bob all setup over the last couple of days so far has cost about $20 using mostly sonnet 4.6, with some limited opus 4.6.
Bob was born Friday afternoon and he's doing great! He oneshotted his own nostr keypair generation profile setup and first post. More to come from bob. I'm going to have him post our Ws to his own nostr notes.

This weekend I undertook my first tangible AI project that actually created something maybe kinda interesting.
This project was inspired by the @nprofile…4j8q Book Club - we are currently reading the Fourth Turning.

I created this using Claude Sonet 4.6 with the $20/month plan. No agents. I have zero coding experience and I've never used AI to build any code. I started yesterday morning and just finished what I would consider the first functional draft. I hit my token limit once, but I just took a 4 hour break (which was kind of nice actually).
After I hit my limit, I started figuring out (asking) how to do things more efficiently and never hit it again. I'm currently at 35% of my weekly limit.

So since @nprofile…cd8v had been talking about the CO2 detectors somewhat recently I decided that I wanted to get one before my next air travel, which is next week, but I found out that when I close the door to my office, which is rather small, within an hour or so it gets above 1000! Crazy!
So now I know that in the winter, when I cant open the window, I at least need to open the door every hour or so at a minimum.
Next I am interested to see if this impacts my ability to stay focused and work efficiently in here.

I have been resisting the urge to really take the plunge on some of these AI tools for a little while now... some of that is personal preference because I already spend way too much time on a computer and I don't want more computer projects.
But seeing how powerful these things can be in practice, its making me wonder a little bit if there is going to be a point in the future that these tools either get cucked or banned... like perhaps now could be the best time in past, present or future for us to make the things that will change the world.
What do you guys think about the future of AI for the plebs / pioneers?
