Decent client with light/dark modes.

Iris need to do a better job at recognizing photos and other media from the URLs.
Not all images end with .jpg or .jpeg.
Most of the frameworks include a size parameter that if it ain't supplied, results in nothing.
For example: "www.foo.com/a.jpg?size=medium"
^ The above format is valid but doesn't load on iris.

What tech stack does the server run? Easiest would be to outsource it to cloud but for manual deployments, it requires config/code updates.
On a personal blogging site, I used nginx with the config similar as below:

If Kanye makes comment about Jews on Nostr -- either of the two of the following will happen.

Saying that the technology doesn't allow for censorship is not a valid reason. By accepting the apple TOS, you are agreeing there are such provisions in the app if necessary.

Apple reserves the right to block hate speech from their platform if they deem necessary. Failure to comply(regardless of itty bitty technical details) means the app will be delisted from the app store.
It works now because damus or other nostr clients are too small to be bothered about. Only web based apps/clients are bullet proof.

"Could be a simple TLV format" -- I would caution against developing custom formats. Many have tried to develop these formats and in almost all cases, it is far worse than the already standardized schemes such as avro/protobuf mainly cuz missed use cases or schema backward/forward compatibility issues. It is also hard for newbies to onboard on to these formats (although bitcoin chose custom formats but its history predated the standardized forms).
The only scheme/method that was different from previous standardized ones was flatbuffers by google-- they provided a way to decode without actually deserializing the entire payload at the expense of larger data payloads for big schemas.
If I were to do it, I'd just add an api to nostr that handles avro(for ex) and whether it is binary or json becomes merely a transport layer responsibility. It also standardizes and enforces at the schema level what fields are to be expected with what types.. etc,.

We need a number of views feature in #nostr
I'm thinking if we can have an event type that indicates whether a post was viewed (just like a "like") by a user if they had the post displayed on the screen for say 2 seconds. A duplicate view will not be counted by default. If duplicates are needed the event can include a timestamp to make sure if the views happened far away from each other then it can counted twice even if it is from the same user.
This would generate a lot of data, I presume. As we won't be storing just the view count but also a set of <user-id, timestamp> for each post. It'd be interesting to know the kind of scale we are dealing with here (GBs, TBs?)
Does anyone thought about it or working on it? I'd be interested to read further about it.
