Long Story short, found this framework on Craigslist for $450 which is a steal. Been using it for almost a week now and I love it. Yes it has Arch installed on it.

Okay I made some orders for sensible upgrades like maxing out its DDR3 ram from 8gb to 16gb. Thank goodness I didn't have to pay the exorbitant prices for that. Also ordered a 1tb sata SSD to replace the 750gb spinning disk in it.

I mean I got to introduce the steamdeck to some indi devs for their game Seas of Raesenia and I was looking forward to playtesting and giving them feedback on the Steamdeck, but that not happening... Plus with my laptop, everything is backed up, but now I gotta deal with disconnecting Nextcloud from it and hopefully do a remote wipe, but I doubt that's going to happen. I already secured my accounts and most of them required a passkey or yubi key. Plus I still have to replace it... Framework. Idk...
At the end of the day, no one was hurt, but now I'll probably skip over Seattle if I ever travel on that side of the state from now on... Sucks cause I always look forward to visiting it from time to time....
So basically I going home with nothing... Except my Honda which that would have been a whole other can of worms if that was stolen...

Well.... We were robbed... In Seattle of all places.... My laptop, steamdeck...and all the merch I and those travelling with me bought from Anime Washington. We were parked near Pike's Marketplace when this happened... No one was hurt...just replaceable stuff stolen... It just sours a trip we all four saved up our hard earned money for that all... Yeah it sucks...quite 4hr drive home this is going to be.

You know what would be an awesome feature for @npub1v5u…n0v5 , @npub1unm…d0j2 ? An autoboost feature where it would combine both the features of boosting and sat streaming. I think the scope would be similar to sat streaming with a per/minute sat metric and then you would have an option to boost on pause or boost at the end of the podcast. It should keep track of the splits, so music podcasts can send sats to the correct wallets, but also can attach a message at the end and even share it on nostr like a normal boost.
I think I this feature would be good in keeping the sat fees lower. I've noticed that with normal sat streaming, you pay about 5-10 sats per minute and that adds up fairly quickly especially where there are a fair bit of splits in the RSS feed. I understand why those fees are there, but this would keep the fees lower.
I know @npub15z2…6q95 's @npub17pg…5h5r dose this with individual songs, but I'm not sure how it handles music podcasts and the feature.
Idk just an idea, and I know there's millions of those. Just something I've been thinking about as I'm catching up on my podcasts. Y'all have a wonderful day!

Yeah I have to be careful during the holiday season as well. My little sister is a heart patient and we have to be vigilant. Unlike last year, she was down for the count for nearly a month. And I think she also caught pneumonia in the process too. So yeah, I understand your vigilance when it comes to making sure you're not getting sick as much as possible, and especially with the norovirus.

Back in time Boost - During our Thanksgiving Honday, we ended up qualifying for two turkeys at our local WinCo. Sad part I didn't realize this till I got back with an item we initially forgot. So I had to run back again to grab another Frozen Turkey. It still sitting in the freezer to this day. We'll probably cook it for new years or Christmas.

Yes! I was able to vibecode with Warp Terminal to create an MCP module for LM studio to use ddgr to run websearches! It even uses python for the base of script. Now I can search all about ducks!
Basically what great about this is now I can use a local models to gather information incase I decide to move on from Warp. I currently pay for it, but that might change in the future!
When I a chance, I'll share it on a website that I might give code as well too! Still learning the in and outs of using llms, but I'm getting there!

When it comes to running relays, you guys can probably run your own filtered relay. Because if you take a look at a relay called filter.noster.wine, it has a way of aggregating multiple relays and giving you a feed. This is designed to reduce spam on the nostr network and also battery life because it's there's less rela's ones phone has to communicate to. So, if each podcast app has its own relay to handle its own community, then PodcastIndex can just take in those feeds that are submitted and then aggregate them together into a single global feed. Then that way that gives you a central information point, but if you guys go down, each podcaster has their own relay and then can handle their own loads. Just my two cents, still love you guys and I'll bet you do. Go podcasting.

I remember the relief of signing the settlement papers — the calls stopped, and I finally had certainty. I owed $24,664.40 and settled for $8,920, paying $518.45/month into escrow for 37 months (~$19,198 total). Debt gone, peace bought — but no assets gained.
Then I had a what-if moment.
If I had DCA’d $518.45/month into Bitcoin from Nov 2022–Nov 2025, I’d have put in ~$19,182 and accumulated ~0.74 BTC (avg buy ~$25,855). At today’s price, that’s ≈$82,780 — an unrealized gain of ≈$63,600. Enough for a car, truck, or even a solid house down payment. And this is just an average, and not mathing in month spot check, so It's probably off, but still conveys my example.
Debt relief has real value, but once I ran the math, I realized the group that “helped” me made about $10K off me. That’s close to just paying the settlement amount directly, except they effectively charged me ~22% credit card fees.
I can’t change the past, but I can redirect the lesson: once my final payment is done in Nov, I’ll take that same $518/month and put it into Bitcoin. Playing it safe bought me certainty, but it also cost me big. Over time, Bitcoin’s highs and lows have always trended upward.
Lesson: quantify the cost of certainty. Sometimes “playing it safe” costs more than you think.
(Clarification: I used an LLM to help summarize and run the numbers, then edited it into my own style. Tools like Duck.ai and Warp Terminal are pretty great tools for this.)

I watch the entire video, and I'm amazed with what you can be accomplished with LLMs. Plus love that this a Pay-Per-Use and I don't have to waste money on a subscription!
My only criticism is that, it needs to be more upfront about how much you are paying per usage. Plus connecting this to a git repo would be awesome too.

This wasn't me, but my brother left his really expensive razor gaming phone on the roof of his car and drove off and the poor thing flew a good 10-15 feet and completely shattered both sides of the phone. It was also safe to assume someone ran over it too. To put simply, he was really pissed at himself because those damn phones are expensive.
Not to say I either had my fair share of broken phones, but... I don't spend a ton on them. Though, even at my price range(motos), replacing three phones in a single year and now four phones? Yeah, that adds up very quickly. Kids are expensive.

With regard with the last episode with crush it really resonated with me cause I'm currently using Warp Terminal and Claude to go through all my markdown notes and clean them up. Plus it help me learn how to research and tech it to use ddgr and lynx to breakdown information and give me summaries. It took me about a week though to get the rules tune cause it like trying to guide a toddler.
Anyways I'm warming up to the idea of using llms as a tool to solve problems and document work process that I can reference later. Anyways love U guys! 🙃

Went to a small Comic Con over in Pasco, WA. It felt like LFNW. It was big enough, but low key enough to actually talk to the Artist and Vendors. I had a budget and got plenty of stickers, posters and a few Books non the less. Definitely worth going to next year.

Awesome! Nextcloud displays README files at the root of their folders. This led me to have Warp Terminal create an index of the folder's contents, allowing me to have a summery of what's inside. This will definitely improve my file organization.

I'm starting warming up to using LLMs for admin tasks. For instance, Warp Terminal can help me plan, run searches, and reference docs I provide. It even organizes my work into notes for future use. Pretty cool if I say so.

Honestly, if it wasn't for the $600 price tag for this case, this would be a pretty sick setup. Just take it around with you for lan parties, cons, or LinuxFests in general.
So I will probably wait for a third party manufacturer to bring the cost down for this thing. I am probably better off just buying an MATX case that has a handle on top instead.

yeah I was a thrift store kid too and even got into those tie-dye and paisley pattern shirts back in the late 90s too. Nowadays I still wear branded t-shirts but mostly now either gaming centric comic-con, or from you guys. Like I still have that patch ypur shit t-shirt from techstep Back when ya'll first started with Teespring.

Just recently I had a customer complaining about their internet turning off and on and that the LED light was fading away so I automatically assumed it was a bad PoE. I come on site and he tells me well the internet working now. That got me curious and I asked him to show me what he did. He ended up just moving the PoE from on the floor to on top of the router which is on their TV stand and the power supply started working again. So I crouched there for a bit, I swapped the PoE out and I put it on the ground and it turned off. So I put the old PoE back on and traced my hands back towards the outlet and realized that it just fell right out of the receptacle. I basically told him yo replace the receptical and he will get an electrician to do that. Luckily there was another outlet not too far so their internet stays on. I also recomended a UPS cause power out there is not stable. This all came to my mind as I heard Steve's story to check hardware first mentality. Saved my bacon for sure.

For me I have it as my moral code, so there is some use to have a belief. With that said my gripe isn't with some who believes in something, or themselves, it the organization religious grouos which screw with the truth to get what they want. That what pisses me off the most.

Okay using Warp Terminal with Lynx or w3m for searching websites is a great way to search product information. Sometimes store websites make it so convoluted to search for something. This make the process so much easier. Also using it with search engines like duckduckgo make that easier too since it can dive deeper. Can't say much in the ethics, but as a tool this us a great way to summarize info and dive deeper if I'm interested in it.

I'd say dedicated npub. Make thing easier and if you decide move on, it's easy to transfer if someone takes up the torch. Plus I also create different feeds list for specific subjects so this helps. Feedback will be much easier to sift through. Plus you can post links of your research and get further feedback you can reference in your podcast. Then you personal npub could be about your personal battle with your homelab/rv Shenagans which I've enjoyed when you do post them.
